But what is actually the rationale behind the fact that year in and out, government officials waste tax payers' resources sponsoring pilgrims going on religious endeavours that add absolutely no value or benefits to our economy? Nigeria is the only secular country where even the federal government spends millions of naira on hajj trips to Mecca and every other nonsensical religious trips, to the point even our scarce forex resources are subsidised for this stupid purpose. Shouldn't an individual's decision to go worship in some sacred city thousands of miles away, be funded from his pocket? Too many things are a mess in this country and we just carry on like they are norms and part of our way of life.. ![]() |
Kingsmeal:Pay no heed to the numbers being bandied in media statistics, Rivers State is not poor. I am not from there, neither am I a fan of Nyesom Wike, but that state, on an average percentile that considers all possible indices, is not a poor state, neither are her indigenes. |
In all, I am very pleased Tinubu did not contemplate the idea of nominating Ben Ayade to fill any of the slots meant for Cross River. That diminutive leadership disgrace should be kept far from our National politics for as long as possible. If Nigeria was a sane society, Ben Ayade and that his thieving elder brother should be in one dark and cold EFCC cell vomiting the resources of Cross River State that they pillaged and plundered for their selfish gains. Betta Edu and John Owan-enoh are fine choices. |
WorldRichest:You're just talking nonsense with confidence. |
Lol. Lamidi Apapa is not even leaving room for anyone to doubt where his allegiances lie. Instances abound of people who have taken bribes to act as moles while still serving the interests of opposing parties. But this old man just makes it so glaring that he's in Labour Party on the behest of Tinubu. Shame has indeed left the minds of most old men in Nigeria. Reason I no dey like hear that nonsense talk of "respect elderly people" again for this country. The elderly people have sold and mortgaged the collective goodwill of our generations. |
GoodIsGod:Lol. Your compliment is warmly received and attendant recommendation, even more so. |

Serious as a heart attack bro. |
VTJN:Oshoala does not have bress.. .She's as flat chested as Bola Tinubu. |
saphiere:A chance to be cultists? |
VTJN:You get luck say you no dey near me. Na headbutt I for use reset your brain. |
tesppidd:The PDP of today cannot expel Wike. He'll rather choose to leave the party. |
VTJN:Young man, don't come under my mention and seek to display your supposed sense of enlightenment. Some of you have the habit of creating issues where there should be none. I was having a pleasant cruise session with one or two other users just for the laughs and you're in no place to school me on the concept of body shaming. I hold and reserve the exclusive right to clearly spell out observations as I darn well please. When a man is short or bald, people never hesitate to point out those features. So do not, in your foggy delusions of self-awareness, seek to put limits on my willingness to exercise my conversational liberties with your "woke" nonsense. Oshoala has no bress and I'll repeat that statement anytime and anywhere it bloody suits me. Take this your petty sentimental sermon elsewhere, I'm in no mood to accommodate your dramatical nuances! |
Shapeaso:Betta Edu is not from Calabar. She's from Abi local government area in Cross River. |
VTJN:We were not discussing anybody's personal acquaintances here, but athletes. Please stick to the subject matter. That's how you Nigerians will digress from issues with unnecessary instances, before you know it, the conversation would become personal and people will begin trading insults. |
Classic representation of "you know say money no be problem" for Mbappe. Lad is determined frustrate PSG. |
I detest this DSS agency with every fibre of my being. Even if a job opportunity is offered to me on a platter in either of DSS, NPF or PHCN, I'll decline without blinking twice. Very useless set of people! |
dazzlingd:Bress is life and death my brother.. ![]() |
MT:I gree. ![]() Na bress concern me and I like it please. Even if you tie me to a drum and want to shoot me, my last request would be for a fine woman to show me well-rounded bress. Leave am like that. |
VTJN:Abeg it is common. Lot of female footballers have bress. Make I show you pictures ? |
COOL10:Even if she been no wear, difference no dey. You're better off staring at your own chest.. ![]() |
VTJN:Ehe?! Have you not seen athletes with boobs before ? Did you not like the sight of it? |
robosky02:Lemme mah talk.. ! |
MESS11AH:You want drug dealers and smugglers to be executed in a country where the number one citizen is a cartel Lord ? Your dreams are even taller than the eifel tower. |
Oshoala get mind remove jersey .She don go spoil beautiful goal with display of small bress. |
Tolu181:Please, which Biafra war ended in 1967? I read your comment and I began to question my knowledge of Nigerian history. I want to believe you erroneously wrote that, but please correct it so you don't misinform the younger generations of nairaland users. |
OP, have you ever heard of the concept of "genetic insomnia"? It is an inherited case of sleeplessness. I was born with it. Try as much as I could, it's a trait I was never able to get rid of to this day. I practically function optimally with just 1hour of sleep out of 24hours. It used to be quite better when I was a child. I could sleep for about 4hours before the sleep fades and I have to toss in bed until the day breaks. When I got of age and could afford the bills, I sought medical help. There was literally nothing that was prescribed that worked. Overtime, I simply gave up on trying to cure something that was clearly not an ailment. Now, if I have to sleep for more than an hour, I have to resort to eating a bit of weed and that helps to give me about 3 or 4hours of sleep at the very most. Now the very fact the parents of that child let him stay up with the television might not be a case of an addiction to the screen, but simply an inability for him to sleep. And those parents already recognise that. So don't paint a sordid or deformed picture of another's child. When your own born, if e no gree sleep, you fit use bicycle kick send am go bed. |
hspda:Oh, you didn't get the memo? Last time I attempted to book a ride from Apo resettlement to Gwagwalada in Abuja, bolt displayed about 13,200 naira as the fare. I simply turned off the app, went inside to UnCloth and went back to my bedroom. Had to conclude my business on WhatsApp with the client I was to go see. |
I even stopped using the bolt platform. The astronomical rise in fares is not something my resources can accommodate. And most of the riders who have been using vehicles belonging to other people, have since returned said vehicles and sought other means of livelihood. I had numbers of two very cool bolt drivers. Last time I called them, niggas have returned their vehicles to the respective owners. The other one is even running a POS business now. |
Simon Ekpa, be careful! Don't drag the South South into your murky waters of lunacy. If the South East is comfortable letting you destabilise their way of life, kindly restrict your idiocy to the confines of your region. If that nonsense is displayed anywhere around the South South, what Nyesom Wike did to erratic Igbos in Oyigbo is going to be child's play compared to what will befall your ignorant minions. |
donbenz:SAW though.. ![]() I have the entire collection. Then there is "Final Destination" and I have all of it as well. |
