Fuel was dispensed at N86.50, am quite satisfied with their metering system. My fuel tank is full at the commensurate cost. Quite sad and annoyed that the fuel attendants do not want to fill up the reserve after buying unless if you stand your ground and refuse to pay. They will waste your time and come back and fill it. |
I bought fuel last week saturday at MRS Fuel station by Banex plaza and I cruised all through the week to so many places. My fuel tank is about 75 litres so I had about a third of that quantity (approximately) left. I was supposed to buy yesterday saturday but due to the FCT chairmanship and councillorship elections. I couldn't buy fuel. Today, Sunday, it was terrible. I managed to fill my tank at Oando Gwarinpa just by Gwarinpa Entrance if you follow NEXT/Kado Road. By 9a.m, there were lots of black market fuel sellers. The fuel queue was moving like once every one and half hours and the queue had about 30 cars. After about 2 hours, I was able to buy fuel and fill my tank. Imagine, they were selling with only one nozzle to both sides of the queue all lined up. The security men there told me in confidence that there was enough fuel cos their tanker offloaded saturday night( just yesterday). A lot of black market boys were coming with their dismantled generator fuel tanks to buy fuel. Most of these boys came so many times to buy fuel. Of course, you will know its not for generator. The fuel station manager was there and he saw it happening life. Driving on Kubwa road today, The queues at NNPC mega station opposite Jahi was up to 2km long if not more. The fuel station opposite had very long queues. On my way back to town from Dutse, I saw 2 long fuel tankers, driving into Abuja. I am sure there should be enough fuel this week if all fuel stations in Abuja sell fuel by using all their 'nozzles' If you are in Abuja, share your experience from your location. |
I am thinking of getting an industrial sewing machine (for straight sewing) for business. I heard EMEL is one of the best brands around. Please how much is it and any other good one at your location. Kindly state your location please. |

adanny01:Nissan is a rip off. |
ptoall1000:Congratulations. So happy for you. |
ptoall1000:Well done. |
Beware of anyone that tells you that he has a car for sale and has not advertised it here on Nairaland. Please check each car seller's posts to know if they truly have a car to sell. Times are evil oh. Exercise caution please. |
Onismate, you are so good at writing. Is it a true life story or fiction? |
Please let us know your location as you report the fuel situation in your area. I would have bought fuel in jerrycans to keep at home but its not safe. |
Amen |
oba009:I referred you to a mechanic at Kugbo and you said you will tow your car with a van. Na wa for you o!!! |

femi9naija:I will not answer you because its not worth it. OP, my altima made me a part time mechanic. 4 years and 9 months is no joke. The day the engine parked up, there was enough engine oil in the engine. I have moved on and i know better. Like I said, the first one year was great. The 2nd year was the beginning of troubles. It became more difficult until I changed the engine after 4 years of buying it as tokunbo. I sold it for N340,000. How many nissan altima's will you see on the highway today? How many 99 models, 2000 model, 2002, 2003, 2004 and so on? I can buy a nissan almera again but not an altima.

ptoall1000:For me, with N750,000 you will get a good bargain for a well maintained 2003 Camry (Big For Nothing). I will serve you more than this drumstick you want to buy. Most of all, run a physical inspection, drive test, run a scan on the car, and get 2 or 3 experienced people to check the car out for you. There are other cars but I am ok with 2003 Camry 4 cyl or V6. N600,000 - Buy this car N80,000 - Buy an engine N20,000 - Pay the mechanic That is if the tokunbo engine you bought does not have an issue. If it does, you have to pay the mechanic another N20,000 to remove the tokunbo engine and fix another one |
ptoall1000:İ will never buy this ride. Look away. N600,000 can buy a very good and spacious ride with a good engine. İts either your a) mechanic is the one that is convincing u to buy because he wants to make N50,000 from you or b) A friend of yours who has been so nice to you is trying to convince you ...Guy use your common sense...#NissanAltimagetplenty wahala. |
its not a good bargain at all. A whole N600,000. You have money to waste. İ will buy it N400,000 maximum without the engine. |
I have owned an Altima 99. Used it for 4 years and 9 months. That car nearly wrecked my bank account. I wont buy that car for my enemy. Though I never changed the transmission. It worked perfectly well. Engine knocked after 3.5years. Changed the fuel pump like 20 times. Overheating occasionally. I never accelerated at full blast in the last 3 years or there were issues after that. So many issues. I bought it as tokunbo. Enjoyed it for only 1 complete year. It started having problems when i started driving in serious hold-up. Real serious problem. |
oba009:My brother, i have already referred you to a good mechanic. Chiebube |
GAZZUZZ:please did you use brand new thermostat or belgium (tokunbo) |
GAZZUZZ:thanks. How did you fix them? |
Tell us what DTC codes Gazzuzz got when he scanned your car and what he did to fix these codes or else you did NOT learn anything. Well done Gazzuzz. |
Good morning Mr Seun, please i will be most grateful if you can change my username to Chiebube. I once had this moniker but I had to delete the moniker due to issues i had at my former place of work. I have related with people one on one outside this forum as Chiebube and they know me very well. Many thanks sir. |
pattybf:I never asked for an extension. Coincidentally and surprisingly my permanent drivers license came out when i went to complain that the temporary one had expired. |
Mine, number plate assigned to my car but not complete. I just renewed my car papers last December |
Its good to know if your vehicle number plate is real or fake. Go to www.nvisng.org/numberplateverification.aspx click on number plate and type your number plate e.g. ABC495XA then click verify. Warning: Do not type it as ABC 495 XA, meaning do not include spaces between letters and numbers. Let the search begin |
