WebmastersRe: Dropping Your ATM Card Details Online On International Webhost Companies by boldx(op): 7:21pm On Jan 02, 2016
Strahovski:
Mr man there is something we call exchange rate. Perhaps the first time you were charged it was 199 then the second time it was 280. That has nthing to do with Web.com | Do not smear an innocent company.

As for unauthorised charge, you clearly saw it where it was written that your card will be billed monthly. So do not complain when they debit your card.

As for 6 digit token code not all payment gateways require the 6 digit. Some sites won't ask for it. They can still debit your card. Although PCI and other card industries like Mastercard and Visa are appealing to banks and gateways to enforce the use of 3d Secure. (That's the official term for your token or otp)

As of today, not all merchants or website requires the token code. It's mostly Nigerian Websites and websites that make use of the 3D Secure system that can request your token. I hope you understand now.

And saying we should not drop our card on webhost that dont use voguepay is just funny and ignorant in nature.

Are all Web hosts using voguepay? Is godaddy using voguepay? Is hostgator using voguepay? There are 10000s of hosts with their individual payment processors so avoiding them and looking for voguepay you are on your own.

Even popular Nigerian host whogohost does not use voguepay

I am no staff of Web.com but I jst want to clear the air and make you understand how card payment works. Card payment system is dynamic and not static. The way it works in Nigeria does not mean it must work the same way in foreign countries. Nigeria makes use of interswitch abroad it's not the same so forget your token unless the website supports 3D Secure such as Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure Code.
I was NOT billed monthly. I was billed annually which was not what I subscribed to. It has nothing to do with exchange rate. I do not care about the exchange rate. What I care about is the monthly billing which I subscribed to and instead, I was billed annually which is fraud. You were not there when I subscribed.

About the gateway stuff, its my cross and I have dealt with it. Thanks for dropping by.

Dropping your ATM card details online on foreign web hosting companies is not entirely a safe thing to do. I decided to post this after a sour experience on a foreign webhost firm. By the way, its not www.domainking.ng. I trust domainking and I am still proud of them anyday anytime.

I am declining from posting the name of the webhosting company as I will officially call them on Monday. I decided to try out a foreign webhost by November last year to check out the offers they have. I saw this webhost, www.***.com, you may get it if you guess since its just 3 letters. I subscribed for a trial monthly plan of $4.95, dropped my ATM details including my CVV2 number and the money was deducted from my bank account instantly. No grouse. The annoying thing was they did not ask for my 6 -digit GTB token confirmation. I didn’t see it as a big worry since the amount was small. Now, the agreement was that i will be paying monthly from the option I chose. By 26th November 2015, when my first month subscription expired, $34.95 was deducted from my account, approximately N9700 without any bank alert. I knew something was wrong whenI went to the ATM in my countryhome but since I couldn’t check the balance because of a poor internet connection.

Came back to the city and logged into my GTB online account and saw the deduction, I was mad because they were supposed to make monthly deductions of about $4.95 monthly. Out of annoyance, I deactivated my ATM card and requested for a new one. I will be going to the bank this week to ask for a permanent solution to this so that this guys do not withdraw anymore from my account for any reason. This is simply a fraud.

I know this is my fault somehow. Readers, please do not drop your ATM card details on any webhosting company except if they use Voguepay, Quickteller as a medium for payment. I have learnt my lesson.

I left Anambra yesterday. It wont be easy for DPR to control pump price in Anambra except if they avoid back door bribes. Fuel in Anambra is not less than N130 per litre. In ABUJA, fuel is everywhere at N87 per litre. May God help us.

PoliticsAttention: Dpr, Nnpc, Ppmc. Fuel N150 Per Litre: Lokoja To 9th Mile by boldx(op): 11:22am On Dec 26, 2015
I had to travel this season. Having filled my fuel tank in Abuja after much hassle at N87 per litre. I took off on 25th December to Anambra. From Lokoja to 9th Mile virtually all fuel stations were selling at N150 per litre except at NNPC before Ejule. They were selling at N120 per litre. In all the fuel stations selling at N150 per litre, N87 per litre was displayed at the pump but there was a fuel attendant with a calculator and you will be informed that the price is N150. After buying they will use their calculator to check the amount you will pay. I checked so many fuel stations to verify this. At the NNPC fuel station where i bought, i paid N5000 for about 41 litres (N120 per litre) which was supposed to fill my tank because i still had some fuel in my tank, but to my dismay, my fuel guage read 3/4 full. Just a rip off!

FamilyThe Challenges Of A Late Marriage by boldx(op): 12:15am On Dec 24, 2015
Coping with the challenges of a late marriage is not an easy experience at all. A lot of people would love to get married at least before the age of forty. Quite a number of ladies get married before the age of 40 but it becomes so distressing and annoying when everyone you meet becomes concerned about your marital status, and becomes your marriage counselor. These people do all the talking without knowing that you may have gone through a couple of breakups in relationship, and you are not at least ready to go on another train, at least for sometime. Its quite good to note that some relationships can be quite annoying, time-wasting, ego-bashing and all sorts of debasing experiences. Here are a few words to ponder on as you wait for the right person to grace your life.

Do not allow depression to set in

While you wait for the right man or woman to set in, you must never allow depression to set in. Get yourself busy with activities you love.; work, business, going to swim, spa or gym. Just make yourself feel good, look good and fit. Take good care of yourself and stay in good shape both emotionally, mentally and physically.

Spend your time with good friends

Its true we tend to attract people who have the same ‘heartbeat’ as we do. You need to surround yourself with friends that have a positive image of life and its demands. Friends that will tell you the truth even if it hurts. Our friends sometimes know us better than we do. Do not allow self centred people get the best of you.

Mind your attitude

I have seen some single ladies and guys who are full of themselves and are so self-centred. They will hardly do anything for others unless they have something to benefit from it. Some others tend to snob people badly. They will always wait for you to greet them again and again without making any effort to be the first to greet. I have tried ignoring them but once it a while, I take the pleasure to greet. Bottomline is, do not be bossy, rude or unapproachable.

Be hospitable

Be willing to lend a helping hand to someone. You never know who he/she knows or what role the person is to play in your life. Some people are guardian angels and they lead you to the right people.

Desperation is suicidal

As you wait for the right person, don’t be so desperate to allow any Tom, Dick and Harry into your life. We all need people that will love us for who we are and not for what we have. If you are so desperate, people may take advantage of you.

For young singles, you need to be realistic about your expectations in life. Make sure you treat everyone that comes your way with respect. Do not go into a relationship because you want to use and dump the person. You never know who will swear for you.

Finally, it is better to wait for true love to come your way than to tolerate the person you are leaving with for the rest of your life. So, take your time and enjoy your life.
