Health › Re: Sad Plight Of Health Interns In Nigeria,,, by Bollinger(m): 7:03pm On Nov 19, 2015
quincybee12:
I was happy when I read an article 'plight of intern pharmacists' on swank channel,,,and the person presented 2 case studies @dala orthopaedic hospital, kano and national assembly clinic, Abuja. At least someone was able to voice out the pains of health interns across the country. It is important to note that this sad plight concerns all fresh graduates of health professions eg pharmacists, doctors, lab scientists, radiographers etc .

I'm currently on an internship programme @nafdac,lagos and I'm being owed 5months salary out of my 7month stay, it is very depressing and frustrating as we pay for accomodation, food, transport and other welfare by ourselves. Where do we get the funds to handle this expenses? Our administrators keep giving us excuses such as TSA policy and other gibberish lies whenever we bring up a complaint. Some people even travel to abuja before they get paid, the staffs are being paid when due,,therefore it's questionable why interns who do the bulk work in these institutions ignored. It all boils down to corruption within or outside the institution, ill stop so far,,but I'm calling on health bodies of respective professions, ministry of health and Nigerian government to tackle this menace as soon as possible,,,my 2 cents.
If you show this post to someone living in Europe or America they'd be like "it's not possible." Stories like this is what we tell kids to scare them. "if you are not careful, we'll send you back to Nigeria" Lol. . . It's been years i've heard or seen anyone owed salary or allowances. Nigeria is truly and undeniably phucked.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Please give it up for the man who transformed the economy of Nigeria to become one of the fastest growing in the world,
the man on whose success buhari is still riding on,
the man who rejuvenated the nation's automobile sector and set the pace for massive industrialization,
the man whose policies made food so abundant that nobody noticed it was yuletide because there was no rise in the price of staple foods,
the man who was accused of corrupt practices, yet his policies is the template for those who accused him,

Ladies and Gentlemen, without further ado, give it up for the one and only,
A man who couldn't curb the spate of corruption in the country. Who couldn't provide basic amenities for it's citizens. Who couldn't provide jobs. who couldn't control his wife. The fastest growing economy my foot. The perception is if you need a country to ra.pe and plunder, look no further than Nigeria. You don't need an army to invade anymore. They acquire your resources and take it to their home country. Lol. . . .

You can do better than the above. Am sure you have watched a lot of movies. I want you to describe in detail, how 105 battle ready military men will be kidnapped. Use your imagination.
Not movies and no need to use my imagination. I do it for a living. 10 years now. That's how i know the Nigerian military is a joke.

That's easy? When you have a disorganized, untrained, ill equipped group of soldiers bundled together, it's not that hard to imagine.

Give the OP two gold medals.

1. The first medal for being so dumb as to believe that 105 TRAINED NIGERIAN SOLDIERS will go missing

2. The second in case he misplaces the first
And why can't it happen? is Nigeria not a country of wondrous horrible possibilities? You have an untrained, ill equipped army with an inept and utterly clueless leadership, both military and civilian, leading them so why is it not possible? You might want to hold on to those medals just in case you'd have to wear it in the end.

Would explain this the best way i can.
A few weeks into the semester, my lecturer would begin lecture by entering the class, looking for me and saying, “How are you” and then “Hello class” After this happened for a few weeks in a row, I heard people began to whisper about the awkward greetings.

They started assuming things_which are despicable.
I was disgusted with the rumours. So i started sitting in the back row thinking that would stop him from noticing me.

This evening he called me to his office after class and said he wants to take me out. I didnt see that coming! I was shocked and i blurted it out to him immediately. He said i should go think about it.

Am totally confused right now. Please how do i handle this situation properly and stop him from ever disturbing me?

1.25 trillion per annum. In my opinion this is a huge waste of resources and if carried out a very thoughtless venture by the gov't.

This is Nigeria they had already stated the fears about the program being hijacked and even employed persons trying to cash in on it. It's a dream and can never be a reality.

1.)There is no existing database in the country even ordinary car papers and drivers license cannot be adequately recorded talk less of 25million people.

2.) What criteria will be used to determine who is a youth? I knowledge will come and talk hereof age 18 to 40 but we have seen 60 year old youth leaders.

3.) Will thispaymet be directly from federal gov't or the state's. This one would be interesting if gov't will disburse funds to states to pay unemployed youths. I wonder what would happen in osun and benue

I think instead of giving fish to the people give them fishhooks and show them the river.

Massive infrastructural and technological advancement would require manpower from almust very aspect of society both skilled and unskilled. The government should know this and that money would be an investment that would affect a generation of Nigerians if calculated for just 3 years ( p.s how much is The national budget sef? This is more than some states yearly subvention).

I think they should scrapthis idea and be forwardforward thinking.

My opinion.
Look young man. The use of common sense and logic is strictly prohibited on this thread. What we need on this thread are people who think with their asses and not with their head. Kapish?

Wow, Brazil, Argentina and Spain don't do well in age grade competitions? Case closed. And then you say Nigeria has a boisterous youth programme? Where? Under the bridges, or at the corner fields where boys play set? Seriously? I went to a secondary school where we did sports and played competitions. My mates who were in the school team did not have the same stature as I did. They were bigger, with better developed muscles because they were athletes and they could play soccer at great pace and take long shots that covered distances; and they were more than 11, not to talk of the whole Nigeria.
you know what? I know a way to shut you up. Why is that Nigeria is the undisputed giant of the under 17 championship but are nowhere to be found in competitions where there is a level playing field?
Sports › Re: Give Our Age Grade Teams A Break! by Bollinger(m): 11:06am On Nov 18, 2015
dabossman:
@bolded: Really? But 16-17 year-old Germans, Brazilians, Spaniards, Argentines can play at that level? It is only the Africans that cannot play at that level. I guess your secondary school never had a school team. Kids at that age can play football for 3 hours non-stop. And please enough with the beer parlour gist about Osundu. We've all heard those tales about him. They spent millions on him indeed. I guess you signed the cheques.
Obviously they can't which is why they don't do as well in age grade competitions. They play according to their actual skill level. Nigeria on the other hand play over and beyond what a normal 17 old would because of their cheating nature. I wonder why with a boistrous youth programme we never seem to be able to do the same in normal aged competitions. Use your head bro. All you need do this weekend is go out and watch a game and tell me that a 16 year old can play like that in Nigeria. There is no way in hell you'd find 11 players like that. One or two maybe but not 11.

I believe most of the players in the 2013/15 sets weren't overaged. But some could be in their early 20s (20-22) because the MRI scan is only 99% accurate. The remaining 1% could give room for players above 17 to play in the WC.
18 percent accurate

Answer the question before abusing. The MRI scan has a margin of failure. It does not mean our players failed by the exact margin. Even if a small fraction passed, it does not mean they are above 19 years.

So answer the simple question before calling someone a retard.

If those players are scientifically proven young, What is your problem?
I love the way Nigerians love deceiving themselves. Even at the risk of future growth and development. They don't care. Instant gratification is all that matters. No wonder your minds are all phucked up. Change your outlook. Believe me you'll be pleasantly shocked when and if you do.

So does 18 percent mean the team is over aged? Do you know in that 18%, many of them can not be more than 19 years old.

So it is a young squad.

So what does this rant have to do with the fact, these guys are scientifically proven young. I repeat, Scientifically proven young. I hope you understand the meaning of Scientific.
18 percent margin for error is not "scientifically proven". If you are that dull let me explain it to you. It means in our squad, their is a chance that 18 percent of the boys could be over aged. Clear enough?

OK Sir. let's go back 5 tournaments. Give me 1 Nigerian player that was 13/14 years old. It might seem a lot of work but you're the one with a theory I find hard to accept and hence should be proved.

Lol. . .You see because i don't believe in the MRI crap i generally lump all competitions together. Fatai atere claimed to be 13, Hilary adika claimed to be 14. You make an illogical point and call someone's comment an illogical rant.

What does other teams failing in senior competition have to do with the fact that FIFA scientifically proved that these boys are really young?
Are you phucking serious? what is the purpose of the under 17 competition? Sorry, a reta.rd wouldn't know the answer. It is to generate and discover a small fraction of talent for the future as well as build a solid base for the senior teams. For a country who has won the competition 5 times we are not showing any signs that the objective is being met because of cheats like you.

You conveniently skipped pass the questions I asked.

FIFA will always campaign against age cheats till kingdom come same as racism.

You can talk from now till forever and cheats will still continue. it's like in your example, drug abuse has been hammered on for eons but that can never on it's own fully curb the menace.

Do you feel the MRI scan is a good tool to weed out age cheats? if no, do you have a better recommendation for FIFA?

Try not to avoid the question this time.
Any test that has an 18 percent margin for error is not good enough. I revert back to my recommendation for continued education and zero incentives for winners.

I dare you to show me one Nigerian player in that U17 team that claimed 13/14 years at the tournament.

The only player born at the turn of the millennium (2000) in the tourney was a Malian.

and yes, you can get truly aged 17 year Olds with that level of talent in Nigeria. Go to the streets and see for yourself
Bro's, why are you talking as if this is the only competition that has ever been played at this level. Is the under 2015 competition the only one in existence?

Anuofia! Stop giving examples from the past. Apart from European countries and the US, it's very obvious that other countries cheated also in the past. Presently, the MRI scan is the standard for age verification. Get that into your thick skull

As you can see from the above. I did not make the comment. From the bolded, he did not say other countries should cheat. He said in the past they cheated. If I say someone stole in the past and now the police is stricter and arresting people today. Am I supporting Stealing.

Read carefully before making wrong statements and insinuation.
The funny thing, this m.oron doesn't get is this. Nigeria is the most successful country at the under 17 level. For some reason, everything somehow works when we are playing at that level. But, when it comes to a level playing field, then all of a sudden things don't work as well. Why is that. Countries who have not been doing well at these competitions dominate the competitions that matter. Why is that? I await your illogical rantings.

and you a 101% think FIFA hasn't done this in the past and is still doing it? what do you feel FIFA officials tell players and team staff during briefing pre-tournament? do you also think this would yield better results than the MRI scan?
Just because people won't stop smuggling drugs does not mean we would stop hunting and arresting them. Same here. Just because in the past fifa has educated them and they refused does not mean they should stop educating them. Eventually, they'd get it.

Sports › Re: Give Our Age Grade Teams A Break! by Bollinger(m): 8:01am On Nov 18, 2015

How does that add to the argument. If you bring an over age player, FIFA will screen him out with the MRI scan. So if I watch over age players play, it would not change the fact that our current U17 team is U17.
Like is said, if you really played the game, you'd know that a real Nigerian U17 would not look like that, nor play like that. I did, and i can tell you that there is no freaking way you can amass a squad that good with players of that age range. One or two maybe, but not an entire squad. Remember, some of them claim 14 and even 13 years old. Really?
