Political workers. This is how some of these so-called workers contribute to the crippling of the economy. The FCT Minister under Buhari stayed there and did nothing. Wanton corruption everywhere, but we never saw this reaction. Directors were alloting lands as they like. The Minister should implement no work, no pay. When they are hungry, they will go back to work. Saboteurs.

Fubara is playing with fire. Is this the person APC leaders are begging for? An unrepentant ingrate that can never change. People have started pushing him again to act like a strong man, but when the problems come, he will chicken out. He wants to start what he can't finish. If you are following someone's playbook, know it can be altered at any point by that same person. Fubara is yet to learn his lesson, later he will start begging for peace. He will surely learn the hard way.

It is not always, but it helps to have a good foundation. His positions are logical and usually within the law. Not like those people who allow their emotions to rule their lives.

The ingrate called Fubara is not a supporter of the president. It is why he has refused to honour the president's intervention in the Rivers State crisis. Opobo snake deceiving gullible people. He will even fool that Hope Uzodinma who is always following Tinubu to the airport. You must take emotions out of politics and see things clearly.

That convention was null and void ab initio. Makinde and co allowed emotions to becloud their reasoning.

It is good that he has retraced his steps. He ought not to be emotional about this issue. Politics is about interest. Wike is a force in Rivers State, and a fierce supporter of the president. But that doesn't mean he won't protect his own interest, just as he is protecting that of the president. He remains the best minister in this administration. APC should tread carefully.

These are just aerial pictures. Vienna is one of the best cities in Europe. You can't compare it with Enugu. That is the reality right now. We must be honest, even though we want to be optimistic about things.

Just commend him for the one he has done before asking for more. He certainly will.

Someone is in office and you are pointing fingers at a previous governor. Due to subsidy removal, the funds Fubara is receiving are more than that of his predecessors. Still he has little to show for the huge sums. What is he doing with the money? The state is at a standstill because of his lawlessness. His cabinet is barely constituted and everything is on a downward spiral. The roads are all flooded. The worst administration so far.

This is because he is in a tight corner. Very unserious governor. People have been lamenting about the need to employ more teachers, but he conveniently woke up now to score cheap political points with his sight on 2027. This is barely enough.

If I may ask you, what is the aim of godfatherism in politics? Is it to ensure that the will of the people prevail as outlined in our laws?
I'm sure you understand the difference between a civil case and a criminal one. In a civil case, you're not directly punished for the acts committed while in criminal case you are. So the offences Fubara were accused of by the impeachment, did the SC declare him guilty and send him to jail for them or they simply nullified the acts?
Again, how did the case get to the supreme court? The courts are free to use whatever language they desire. They could have even called him Abacha the second. The fact is their judgements do not constitute grounds for impeachment because any act of a governor or president brought before the courts is deemed valid until the courts rule otherwise
Fubara's case is even more valid because he did all things in obedience to substiting court orders which are enforceable according to our constitution

Godfatherism exists everywhere with different labels. You can call them donors. The aim of godfatherism is the same as lobbyists and super PACs, which is to influence politicians and policies. Why does Israel have a strong support in the U.S. government? They have powerful lobbyists and donors. Take your emotions out of it, politics is about power. When someone, group or whatever funds your campaign, they expect something in return should you win, and the candidates are usually aware of that. How you navigate it is up to you.

There is a difference between idealism and reality. Democracy in practice is quite different. Donors, lobbyists, PACs, super PACs put politicians into office in the U.S. They are not always successful, but that is not the point. The point is the existence of these things.

Those nullified acts of Fubara by the Supreme Court are sufficient grounds to impeach him. You don't need a crime to impeach a governor. The gross misconduct doesn't have to be a crime. However, when you spend funds without appropriation, is that not a criminal offence? He was complicit in the destruction of the Assembly building to scuttle his impeachment. The federal allocation of Rivers State was suspended because of his illegal spending. Same man withheld the funds of the legislature.

The Supreme Court calling Fubara a despot is significant and an indictment. A despot doesn't belong in a democracy. The court declared that there was no government in Rivers State. That is sufficient gross misconduct to impeach a governor. It speaks to how he was running the government contrary to the constitution.

You don't want to sit at home again? People who have chosen Nnamdi Kanu as their god. Very gullible.

Just like Fubara. When someone is guilty of an offence, they resort to things like this.

You want the constitution to teach you how to walk or sleep? You can't take godfatherism away from politics, but you can pretend if you want. I prefer being realistic. Politics is about power. All over the world, there are several factors involved in its acquisition, both obvious and hidden. You can choose to live in a fantasy land.

On the judgement of the Supreme Court, clearly you lack a basic understanding of our legal system. If you were claiming ownership over a piece of land and the lower courts held in your favour. You got to the Supreme Court and the court decided you are not the owner of the land, what happens? Use the same scenario if you were accused of a crime and found guilty by the Supreme Court.

Fubara was called a despot by the Supreme Court, after being called a tyrant by the Federal High Court. Did you read those judgements? You don't know the definition of a despot? Does a despot belong in a democracy? All the actions he took were declared null and void by the Supreme Court, meaning they were of no consequence having violated the constitution. He was just perpetrating illegalities. Enough indictment for gross misconduct to impeach Fubara.

Are you even aware that Gov Yusuf was a member of APC in 2014, he won APC senatorial ticket of Kano Central but had to step down and give the ticket to Kwankwaso to become Senator in 2015?. So where's the betrayal coming from?

Peaceful protest is a difficult concept for some people until they lose their lives. Why would you even try to intercept his convoy? Are you guys terrorists or what? Subservience to the Executive Branch means no checks on its excesses. The ones you claim are subservient to a godfather are performing their functions. There's nothing the Assembly members in Rivers have accused the governor that is not backed up by law. The Supreme Court had indicted the governor in its judgement last year. You guys should learn to separate political attachments from constitutional duties. Separate law from emotion.

The solution to this crisis is the removal of Fubara. Governance in the state is stagnant. This despot believes he can run the state without the legislature. A governor with a penchant for breaking laws deserves to be impeached.

Just like the previous president. The gallivanting continues.
