Jijola: Congrats, and you're right about the new law! The difference between pre-June 1 and post-June 1 applicants is just the application for work permit, otherwise called authorisation. For those that applied before June 1, they have to apply for authorisation, and then later for the SIN. For those that apply on or after June 1, they are automatically authorised once TRV is issued, so they only apply for the SIN when they land Canny. Peeps can read the law on the CIC website. What questions and/or documents did they ask you at the POE? On point!!! |

Politics / Re: NIGERIA, GOOD PEOPLE, GREAT NATION, TERRIBLE GOVERNMENT by BonHomme(m): 9:14pm On May 16, 2009 |
I respect Dora a & love her for her acheivemt at NAFDAC but i dont really like ds rebranding nigeria thingy. I guess we all know d importance of branding and advertising but i think branding a bad product is tantamount to deciet (self deciet in nigeria's case). Nigeria is a country wit vast potentials (a great nation) but prioir to branding and image laundering we shd focus on d pertinent issues. The govt shd spend money on infrastructure (electricity, good roads, transport, etc) & let d good work they've done speak for themselves. dy cn take a cue frm wat gov. fash is doing in lagos & replicate it! PS: Nigerians r generally good pple a lot of ills in our society is caused by frustration |
Politics / Re: Lagos Installs 90 Cctv Cameras. by BonHomme(m): 8:02pm On May 16, 2009 |
Thumbs up to Gov. Fash. Eko o ni baje. I hope all other state govs. wld take a cue frm fashola. It not just abt cctvs but actually doing smthing commendable wit public funds a.k.a taxpayers money. Who'd av believed the notorious oshodi cld be transformed so rapidly (wit street lights, free flow of traffic, no street traders/hawkers, etc)? Abeg, Gov Fash keep up d good work. God bless u! |

Investment / Re: What Is Your "Savings Strategy"? by BonHomme(m): 11:47pm On Apr 11, 2009 |
The truth is no matter how much u earn, ur expenses would always rise to meet ur income. So u need to force urself to save. The best way is to take out a percentage of ur monthly income (maybe 10% evry month) & putting it in a seperate account dt u wld forget about until u meet ur target savings. Give urself a target an when u meet dt target, set a higher target etc |

Ds kinda stuff happens all d time! Ussually because d relationship is not defined frm d start. But in your case d chic agreed to being ur friend and not your lover. she dint mince words in telling u ds. Bros its very clear dt na only for ur imagination una bn de date. So pls take heart and move on. She likes u as a friend no doubt but pls free her and find ur own mate. Cheers. 1 Like |
