While it is common for Nigeria's infamous Kazeem mechanics to transplant say a Nissan engine and gearbox into an old Range Rover for use as a tow truck, your own engine swap might be a safer bet if you stay with a Ford engine as the replacement, so that you can retain the original gearbox, and keep things simple without the need to shift engine mounts and such, which would entail skillful welding.

My ford galaxy 1998 2.0 engine is giving me a serious issues and My mechanic is advising me to install a volkswagen golf 3 engine in it to have rest of mind. And the process involves buying engine, banjo, brain box, engine neck, fly wheel etc. But a friend of mine is suggesting I buy same ford galaxy engine 2.3 that it is better that forging in another brand of engine. Auto gurus in the house help a brother so that he wont make a mistake.
