I even consider it a shameful thing to boast about the kinds of elite political class support one has in a country like Nigeria, especially knowing the kinds of politicians we have in this country. We should rather be looking at how much the people are ready to come out for you regardless of the amount of backing you have from their established oppressors.

From a relatively unknown party just a few months ago and a political candidate with such meager support from the elite political class, I think Peter Obi and the labour party did really well in Ibadan. Nobody or politician in the history of Nigeria has ever achieved such feats as he Obi has in the past few months.
