hello, i actually have three kids, boy girl boy11, 9, 3my 11 year old has a lot of my habits and attitudes, some that i remember from my childhood.my wife is a tiger mum who is always trying to discipline some things out of him so its kind of funny for me. i grumble about corruption, crooked police and the boy does the same. i wake up at night to work, and he wakes up at night after everyone is asleep to steal time on unlocked pcs.i am pretty dull and conservative ish as i have grown older, but when i was young i used to be called ako boy among other things, and my son, for better for worse is also an ako boy. some things are definitely from his peers - eg after we changed schools he has started showing an unhealthy level of sexism, no doubt lifted from his classmates/buddies.but as of today, most of him is from me. his mother complains about his short attention span, that is me to a tee, though she doesn't seem to realise it. he sometimes rushes through his books instead of concentrating - that was me when i was younger. he wants to to too many things at once without considering his limits - thats his mum and i try to suppress that. your attitudes and habits will be mirrored by your kids. sometimes in embarrassing and funny ways. We have a close maiguard who i call by name, my son was doing so too until i noticed and put a stop to it immediately.that was him observing the dynamics in my relationships with different people and copying same. i have always been a person who can unconsciously pose majestically when sitting down, much to the annoyance of my teachers when i was in school, and the other day i saw my three year old doing the same. it was weird. good to see you again
