1stoff, i think the govt is taking this d wrong way. That force was used on ND militants then bullied into amnesty wld not just work on these pple. U SHLD BE SCARED OF SMONE READY TO DIE FOR A CAUSE, NO MATA HOW FOOLISH D CAUSE IS PERCIEVED. As to solutions, incase u hv neva bin up north b4, i kind of schooled there, then served even further up. So, i say this with sm level of experience (no, I dont understand hausa) but if u hear what/how their preaching goes, u will be really scared. And note that majority of them average pple dont hv access to the media we all listen to. They hv, BBC hausa service, and some local papers.(by the way, bbc hausa service was announcing buhari was winning during d last elections, and thats why d violence was smwhat serrious when finally they heard he lost, Discussion for another day)

our president must reach these pple via these mediums. He must make them informed. That will if not convert current BH members, @least prevent more recruits. There are lots of ready recruits everywhere there, mai ruwas, mai suyas, mai shais, mai fruits, Etc etc. We as a nation need to reach these pple. That is d only way we will get information abt what is been brewed, when its going down and how. But regretably, our dear president is not that charismatic nor is he very oratic (hope its a correct word, From orator) anyways, that will be a startin pt. Anyways, I really respect the person of Tunde Bakare. It is not enof to criticize a govt, we all have to make efforts to actually want to change things. and that is what he has done. ''walking his words"
He is a pastor - relationship with God.
An activist - attending to his conscience.
A politician - Coming all out to contribute to the change he so desperately wants.

so if anybody here thinks he is not a great man, the person shld first show me what efforts he or she has made to contribute to the change we all crave for and come out here to run our mouths about.

(1B) WHEN HAVE IN THE PAST 15+ YEARS HV GOVT EVER FALLEN TRUE WITH PROMISES MADE. FRM POWER PROJECTS, TO PROCEEDS FROM DEBT FORGIVENESS, ABSOLUTELY NOTHIN.
(2B) WE HEAR OF THE USELESS BUDGETING DONE ( MONIES ALLOCATED FOR ASO ROCK AND ALL), WE HEAR OF CABALS, WE HEAR OF EMBEZZLEMENT, WE HEAR OF THEFT. BUT 9 OUT OF 10 NIGERIANS WILL SAY, ''GOD DEY''
(3B) LOOKING AT RECENT EVENTS, WHAT HAS BEEN DONE TO BANKOLE? OR ALL THE OTHER THIEFS EVER CAUGHT IN THIS NATION, OR THE PROCEEDS THERE-OF

AND YET SOME LAYABOUTS SAY WE SHLD TRUST GOVT TO FALL THRU. THIS IS A REAR OPPORTUNITY GOD HAS GIVEN US TO DEMAND PAYMENT FOR YEARS OF THEFT AND LIES THE GOVT HAS BEEN TELLING. WE NEED A REVOLUTION, WHAT EVER THE CAUSE RIGHT NOW IS NOT NEARLY AS CONSEQUENTIAL AS WHAT WE WILL ACHIEVE FRM IT.

SO I SAY, LET US CAPITALIZE ON THIS TO DEMAND BLOOD FRM THE THIEVING GOVT. BECOZ, WE MIGHT NEVER GET THIS CHANCE AGAIN. WE NEED TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE.

BUT AM SURE AS ALWAYS, THE AVERAGE NIGERIAN IS INERTLY CORRUPT SO, WILL NOT WANT TO FIGHT IT THAT MUCH. BUT FOR THE SAKE OF OUR FUTURE GENERATION LETS MAKE THIS AN EXCEPTION.

BYTHEWAY, NOT LIKE I WAS EXPECTING ANYTHING DIFFERENT FRM OUR SS ''BROTHERS". AFTER ALL EVEN THE MILITANTS WERE SELFISHLY DEMANDING THEIR OWN CHUNK OF THE CAKE AND NOT THAT THEY WANTED THE REGION TO WORK BETTER.
