OkaNaUbe:The same way traditionalists call different names and it works shey? Worship anything long enough, and it begins to answer... ironically.... it is not the thing being worshiped that makes stuff work... rather the worshiper ( the worship prepares the worshiper not the worshipped) Hopefully... I will hv enough courage and wisdom to write about this somedad and proof that the power is within (what is now referred to as faith) |
Interesting view... Waiting to read comments |
As much as I don't want to go into the merits or otherwise of the ORDER, seems like most people here don't understand the order.... It seeks, not to confisticate the ill gotten/stolen wealth, but an interim forfeiture, pending the determination of the case in the court. In case u have not noticed... Corruption cases drag on in the courts too long, mostly because the offenders want it that way, so.. while it last for 5 to 10 years, the criminal will keep enjoying the loot. The govt should be asked to pay interest on the forfieted assets if finally it's determined it was not a product of corruption. Hving said that tho... I hv not decided how I feel about the order at this time. Lastly, can the house revoke/reject an executive order? If they can... What is the process? That I will have to find out |
I wonder why any human being wld need another person to make them happy... So, I suppose if u met that person u are "sexually" attracted to".. u will be happy for the rest of ur life shey ![]() So.. Oya, divorce the husband u share same world view with, doesn't abuse u..u gist and laugh with... For that person that sexually arouses u... Good luck |
LZAA:If u believe that it's just a few... Good for u then. |
LZAA:I definitely dnt doubt the fact that igbos are talented and smart people... But they are quite shortsighted. Life is a marathon, not a Sprint... the chest beating, arrogance, that I cannot stand. |
LZAA:Here is the disillusion I mentioned earlier... If u dnt play politics and dnt care about it... Then keep shut and remain on the backseat like u uv always been wrt Nigerian politics. "Base anything on merit" the typical igbo tomfoolery I hate so much. That you are good at cheating ur way thru most things doesn't mean jack.... |
I can't seem to say this enough... Nobody gives anybody anything... You have to take it...atleast, politically. Without mincing words... The igbos are astute buisness men and women... Very smart and all.... But when it comes to politics, they are as dumb as dumb. The most annoying part is the fact that I'm of the igbo elite I knw wld wave it off by saying... "Igbos dnt wnt the presidency that desperately"...like they talking to kids. First things first.... Befor even talking of 2023, the igbos need to strengthen a party, preferably APGA, that can be a force to recon with, So they are ripe for an alliance... With whomever is on top then... Be it APC or PDP. They shld remember, just 5percent of people voted the current govt, yet the govt won. Sorry to say.. but I think the South south even hv a better chance at being president again in the nearest future... If that map unposted above is anything to go by. Then and only the |
MobilityExpress:Oh, I'm sure the Nigeria govt is definitely a buisness killer, but, e-commerce failures in Nigeria goes beyond bad govt. If we took a survey here now, most people, as informed as we are, can count on their fingers how many times they really shopped online. Talk less of the less informed ones in the rural areas. @modath captures is quite beautifully up top.... Anyways, at the end of the day, it all these factors we are listing and some more... I hope the experiences can motivate stronger businesses that can beat all the odds |
Sm times, I wonder what Nigerian grown brands are doing wrong. Bfor now, I used to say I don't see any Nigerian company lasting over a single generation... Regrettably... I think it's getting worst. Now, most companies don't even reach the 10year mark. I refuse to totally believe it's the environment joh. I think we as a people dnt hv what it takes to go thru the rigours of growing a business. We find that most often than not, we grow (blow) too quickly before we really hv time to establish a culture, a long term vision for said brand. Before u knw it... We are trying to diversify, we trying to "belong", the company start forming what it is not. An example.. I read a post here yesterday, where smone was complaining about Linda ikejis blog. I smiled, coz I kind of saw it coming. No sooner has she "blown", way before she really carved a niche/ brand culture... Has she started diversifying, living the life, "giving back to community" At best, the brand will outlive her for a couple of years, but not more... That's if the brand is lucky enough to last that long. (Yes.. luck - that's how most businesses in Nigeria blow anyways) Similar story for HiTv, I'm wondering whether i shld mention TsTv sef? Anyways, ... I dnt hv an MBA, I might just be wrong. |
As much as u are right... U shld hv noticed that the blog has shifted from the personal blog it used to be to a full on business. Nothing remains the same for ever. I think she is employing the wrong people tho... She needs atleast a handful of people that hv same vision as she has... Or atleast, create more time to vet content. Just my tot tho.. and this same reason is why most Nigerian businesses don't succeed for too long. The vision is not passed down. |
You knw this country is doomed when out of 2 pages of an argument... Nobody tried providing any link to prove the facts.. one way or another. Reason why I hate Nairaland as the days go by. Fyi... A simple Google search brought this up http://www.signalng.com/abuja-kaduna-railway-project-facts/ I rest my case.

Here is my submission oh... Usually, with a law/rule comes a curse/punishment. So... If you paying ur tithe to the point where you feel if u dnt pay, you are punished or not blessed... You need to reevaluate urself. Show me a tither doing well, and I will show u plenty non-tithers doing equally as well. Also.. show me one wretched tither, and I will show u equally wretched non tithers. Bottom line.. GRACE is favour you did nothing to get. And what you did... Well, is just what you did for the sake of it. Just do good... Give joyfully, not because ur pastor or even the Bible says u shld. Just give because it's a good thing to do. Help whomever u can help joyfully. But then again... What do I know? I'm not a pastor |
saint047:Bros.. is ur brain paining you? HOW DARE YOU MAKE LIGHT OF JESUS'S SACRIFICE? YOU LEFT GRACE, AND WENT BACK TO THE CURSE!! Just listen to urself... U just attracted the curse on urself. You better go back to Sunday school |
So... The pastor of the church i attended today finally said a truth I hv known for quite a while... And somehow, my respect for her truly doubled.... Who knows, I might start even paying tithe to that church finally; just simply because of that truth she had the confidence to voice out. THE TRUTH IS... THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN RELIGION AND PROSPERITY, WEALTH AND/OR FINANCIAL INCREASE. I REPEAT... NONE WHATSOEVER. You cannot bribe God into blessing u financially either by paying tithe or giving offerings. Religion and financial increase are two different concepts, that operate under different rules. Little wonder riches/prosperity is not limited to religion or race. You find rich and poor people across all religions or even non religions. I dare to say that those that don't hv any religion tend to even hv better chances of becoming wealthy for the simple reason that they don't get to confuse both concepts and therefore work under the strict rules of increase and prosperity. What point am I trying to make?... Dnt let any "man of God or god" ever decieve u into thinking their religion holds the key to increase. Do religion for the right reason... And when u done... Go follow the rules of increase if u wnt to prosper... Simple!! Nuff said.... #proudlyChristian!! |

I GET REALLY ANGRY WHEN THE YOUTH PITCH THEIR TENT WITH ONE LEADER OR ANOTHER THAT CONTRIBUTED IN NO SMALL MEASURE TO THE FAILURE WE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCE AS A NATION. AS MUCH AS I DO NOT SEE HIS STATEMENT AS TOTALLY FALSE... BUT THE "IDI.OT" CALLED BALARABE HAS BEEN ON THE CORRIDOR OF POWER FOR ATLEAST 2 DECADES... WHAT EXACTLY ARE HIS LEGACIES? FOR ALL I CARE....NO PAST OR CURRENT LEADER HAS THE MORAL RIGHT TO TALK SH.IT ABOUT THE STATE OF OUR FAILED NATION... RATHER THEY SHLD BURY THEIR FACES IN SHAME AT THEIR FAILURE TO BETTER THIS COUNTRY WHEN THEY HAD THEIR CHANCE, AND JUST HOPE AND PRAY THE POPULACE DNT WAKEUP AND LYNCH THEM AND/OR THEIR FAMILIES SOME TIME IN FUTURE. SO.. MR MUSA JUST SHUT UP ALREADY, AND ENJOY UR LOOT WHILE U CAN. FOR THE DAY OF RECkONING IS FAST APPROACHING. THAT ALSO APPLIES TO THE CURRENT GOVT AND ITS BANDS OF THIEVES. I REST MY CASE. |
just kind of explains why Nigeria will never work WE ARE ALL EITHER CORRUPT, CORRUPTIBLE OR BOTH. let me explain. Persons A, B, C and D goes to the immigration office and insist on the official price and are ready to wait in line. Then all of a sudden, a morally bankrupt person F comes, offers the dude double the cost to jump the line, and the person behind the desk accepts, then after a while, it becomes the norm. the person behind the desk knws the sweet taste of the extra charge. He is not afraid either of the consequences if Persons A to D report, because he kicks the money back upstairs. And so the cycle continues. its a very sad situation. My recommended solution tho is a critical mass of people that are ready to do things right, whatever the cost might be. i think even 5 out of every ten people wld do. |
daPretender:Honestly.. had to really chk where I was oh. It's actually a very very popular penticostal Church. Seeing as I didn't understand the thing.. I jejely politely declined tho. Just trying to understand it now... That's why I'm asking more knowledgeable people on here |
Hi guys.... So.. that's how I went to church today.... Decided to attend this particular popular church close to my house. Got to the "transfer of mantle" time... We were asked to drop white handkerchief on the floor... Then, sm others were passed arnd on which we were supposed to touch and keep on our head. So, Sha... I hv mixed feelings about the whole thing. Let me know ur tots on the mantle thingy please |
MarketingXpert:Google oh... I just searched small corner bars for sitting room |
Looking to get one of these for my sitting room... Price and location please. Wld prefer it's in Abuja tho...
|
somethinggood:Bros, I just sent u a request for PM, please holla at me. As per salary. |
As much as I do not want to believe that is what is happening in the posted picture... If it is, I dare say the policemen just lost their jobs over allowances. People of the armed forces CANNOT (are forbidden from) protest. It's almost a treasonable offense. |
Why are the discos still been run like a government owned establishment for heaven's sake? MDAs are owing.... Yank them off ASAP until the last Kobo is paid. Does MTN, GLO etc still complain about govt agencies owing them as was with nitel? More realistically Sha.... A debt forgiveness scheme shld be organized for those Govt MDAs if they can say.. pay up 70percent, the other 30percent is forgiven and things are started on a clean sheet. I am tired of hearing about this useless shortfall. Let the discos go bankrupt or be sold if it cannot be run profitably. |
Op... Title of ur topic is wrong Joh... It should be "TRUCK COWS INTO VOLKSWAGEN IN KOGI" coz I can only see cows not rams.... ![]() |
We Nigerians can be dumb atimes Joh. Everybody here shouting hw they cannot see the effect.... we complain too much out here just for the sake of complaining Anyways... Ministry of budget and national planning just did its part... What we are to do is just save it.. then wait for each ministry to release what they did with their share, and then finally, that's when we can now verify or ask people living around said projects to verify them. Befor then.. please yall just shut up and go comment in romance section if u got nothing meaningful to say. |
The reason for the drop in rent in Abuja given in this thread is not entirely true. 1stof.. recession is everywhere, why is it only Abuja tent that is dropping. 2ndly, Abuja being largely a civil servant town and salaries are not owed... The effect of the recession isn't really as high as compared to other business towns The real reason... Public servants are beginning to find it increasingly difficult to steal and embezzle govt funds (partly because it's not even there to steal and also govt is abit more vigilant) and for the politicians that do rent for gfs and at whatever prices... The feat of efcc harassment no be here. Also, Abuja rent has always been unrealistically high... I think when it comes down to it sef.. and the public servants live within their means, it wld even reduce further |
As much as I understand a need for similar development as is in kogi east, in the center and west, I do not get why the university shld be made multi campus. Why not open a state university of agriculture in kogi West. Kogi central already got a federal university of technology. So that covers engineering and technology courses. Our major problem in this country is a rush towards setting up new stuff.. and very poor maintenance culture afterwards. Let's consolidate abeg and maintain what we have well. |
Aisha Buhari: Occupation - Housewife, repeat ... HOUSEwife. She belongs beside him in HIS HOUSE (Kitchen, bedroom and the other bedroom) End of story. Nigerians shld choose... Create a first ladies office or she shld just be house wife of the president |
