QuinModah:You are Gen Z… right? 😏😏 |
The irony of this, for those who don’t know. Most of the guys that live around there are the real problem with Nigeria as we know it. A lot of them (or their parents) have been involved in government for decades … they are the invisible thieving hands, hiding in plain sight. But, Sure, the president only is the problem… not the over 1k staff that work in the presidency and lived there too… nonsense!! My first task if I ever become president tho… which I would advise any new government to do…. CHANGE ALL THE STAFF OF THE PRESIDENCY …. Every single one of them should be posted away… redeploy them all… and contract any top notch recruiting firm to pick the best hands from amongst the entire public service. |
KlausMichaelson:Have you maybe considered changing you female (general) network? While I worry that you might be “disliking” them, I dnt think it’s totally out of place for us not to “feel” everyone. Male and female alike. You can be friends with person A, but don’t care so much about person B ( not going as far as disliking the person sha) I will give an example (not necessarily relating to you please). I feel if one hangs around a LovePeddler house long enough, you are bound to start seeing every lady as a LovePeddler….. if you hang around yahoo boys/ritualist long enough…. You might start seeing every guy in that light. As a “logical thinking” … you should knw when your network falls outside your station and needs changing, you either adjust, or you begin to feel resentment. I stopped reading Joro on Instagram for a similar reason…. His posts didn’t really serve my mental purpose, same as a number of Twitter accounts (you can trust the algorithms to keep pushing similar posts) So, my recommendations 1. Renew you mind by changing you network (online and offline). Create new social media accounts, if you must… and be deliberate with accounts you follow. Follow more high flying ladies (they are a lot of them) and avoid “ass shaking” accounts . 2. In you real life dealings…. Go to more premium locations, it improves your chances of meeting more premium people (or atleast, you kind of people) |
Cubalabloo:Please, kindly humor me. Make me understand seeing as I really dnt wnt to wait to get fvcked |
Shadysen:If I’m to be honest… the description has always bothered me, especially when used by Nigerians. What level of self-hate (or ignorance) will make someone refer to themselves as shit (seeing as they describe the country as a shit-hole). A ‘shit’ out of the shit-hole doesn’t make it any less of a ‘shit” (aka the jakpa’d) So… if only the guy can help me understand |
Cubalabloo:I have always found it weird that Nigerian (we) use the term shit-hole to describe Nigeria….. maybe my thinking is off, but i feel it derogates us, and not the country. A hole is just a hole, what makes it a shit-hole is the shit that is contained there in. I don’t see how referring to oneself as shit is a thing to say. The description doesn’t exclude any Nigerian (You inclusive) regardless of your location as a Nigerian. I feel this is akin to calling your fathers house a pigsty and assume I’m not looking at you as a pig, but just ur other siblings and folks Please help me understand your thinking in this regard, I’m genuinely interested in knowing. |
10. That everyone in nigeria can/will/shld be on the same page, so long as it seems/looks/feels like a just cause |
So... with the #endsars protest kinda over... I want to highlight some aspects where I feel, naivety played a huge role. 1. We do not hv leaders or representatives 2. No exit plan, we just stay on the streets indefinitely 3. Protests can be 100percent peaceful 4. The resolve of the ruling class and ability and willingness to use excess force, including shooting 5. Agberos and hoodlums will not obtain & rob the protesters 6. If you are carrying the Nigerian flag, the military will not shoot u 7. UN will intervene after 1 mnth of protest 8. Govt or someone needs to sponsor and pay hoodlums for them to come out to cause trouble 9. That the world really really cares 10. . 11. . Add some of urs please. |
The directors will just end up being compromised and everything will return to “business as usual” in no time. The problem is not the system, it’s the people within the system |
executive12:Why? You think it’s the pe**s that calls for the respect? It’s the breadwinner that gets the respect. Husband is not a gender role, it’s responsibility role. OP, u forgot to add that the jobless man (wife), needs to be reading the role of the wife, as contained in the Bible.... He shld be submissive and the rest.... |
let me help us all here, and spare us som anyhow comment 1. He was not complaining about lack of equipment 2. He was reporting that the intelligence they were given was wrong 3. He obviously was accused over radio of running away from battle 4. In the heat of the moment he made a video recording to prove that they were there... even showed the other General with him 5. Message was obviously leaked 6. As a result of the video, pointing at two things, poor intelligence and the general losing his cool (tho wrongly accused) those in charge needed to shake things up. 7. This alone also, is more than sufficient for the CinC to shake up the service chiefs Finally... he was not just removed, there was a general shakeup, so let’s stop sensationalizing everything Lastly... whoever leaked that video shld be jailed, it can be easily traced I rest my case |
souljar:Good for you then. Wishing u best of luck. Cheers |

JackIsrael:I seem to be hving a similar challenge. Anyone with a solution to this yet? Mine says “error processing your request” |
kingi777:No one is saying conferences, visiting profs and whatnot shld not be captured. What the FG is saying is.... let’s hv all permanent personnel on IPPIS, all other expenditure will be captured under other budget heads. Conferences and visiting Profs shld not be paid from the university personnel. I really dnt see what the big deal is joh. |
Y’all knw the headline is misleading ... right? WHAT DOES “Maintaining status quo” mean? The judge didn’t say “stay action” , he said maintain status quo, in other words keep doing as u were doing. Or dnt change Let me give an example, if I am driving and I am stopped, then I am told to maintain status quo, (go back to what I was doing) do I remain there or keep driving? If I am told to stay action, I will stop, if I am told to maintain status quo, I will keep driving. |
comshots:Swear that it’s only flood and breeze that moves the waste into the gutter make I hear!!! ( please dnt oh, nah joke I dey joke) but u knw that to be false.... as much as our govt is irresponsible, we sef mostly dey irresponsible.... mediocrity and irresponsibility everywhere |
comshots:We have policemen and DSS and all, why exactly do u bother to lock your doors exactly? Any body that dumps refuse in the gutters and on the streets in good concise shld be let to die of flood and cholera It’s people like you that feel the politicians are brought down from heaven and not part of the buck passing populace ... LAWMA comes to pick refuse from ur refuse dumps not frm the gutters. Nigerians deserve the life they get. |
Why shld the govt clean it up.... is it the govt that littered the place... if people choose to live like animals, why shld the govt not aid them. #Nonsense&ingredients. Personally, I hv stopped pitying anyone over self inflicted harm.... |

greatnaija01:Thnk you... good sir for helping me drive home the point better. Was too tired to talk of all the advantages of having ICT skills can bring. Thnk you again |
Dear graduate, please Permit me to rant abit.... PLEASE BUY A LAPTOP. You cannot be using an iPhone and say you cannot afford a 50k (or even less for a used one) laptop. I discovered frm most of those I sent the NNPC advert to said they were going to the cafe to get it done. I understand the economy is hard and all... but it is of utmost importance to hv a PC, actually, in ur final year of school atleast. You need to get comfortable using ur laptop over ur phone. At the very least, be very conversant with the PC, this can usually come with owning and using one. Be very good with the MS office packages, ms word and excel atleast Some wld say they can do anything on their smart phones... but I feel job applications are best on a laptop. So... please,do ur very best to own one. Thank you. Guys, do I think this opinion is wrong? Let us hear ur views |
Fuckyoumod:From ur rant, it is evident that you hv realized that every arm of govt wld protect its own, therefore it behoves the other arms to take action.... now, the executive has played its hand, im waiting for the legislature to “check and balance” them. You can imagine the legislature passing a resolution that Kemi, The grass cutter or Ganduje be procecuted and the judiciary hearing the cases speedily and passing sentence.... dnt u think only then wld our democracy be best for it? But then again, who am I deceiving? The other arms of govt especially the judiciary has been useless for too long to even knw their duties of checking the executive |
I am seriously beginning to really dislike media houses with their stupid headlines.... most often just to score cheap political points. Aisha Buhari was represented by Mrs Osinbajo.... and the purported disagreement was not so much as a quarrel... rather individual “different” views on whom the people shld vote for. I feel sensationalism or half truths are outright falsehoods in my books |
Whoever wrote this article apparently doesn’t knw how these appointments work. The two people u mentioned will be retired, mainly for one reason.... they both joined the force 1984, their retirement is already in sight.... I actually wldnt recommend a new IG this close to elections tho... especially seeing as I feel the election might go into a runoff, some stability during the period might just be what wld save the country frm burning down. |
As much as i feel the timing is quite not very right, i dnt believe it will be fair to deny anyone their legitimate position, one they are qualified, by virtue of whom their father married. Except evidence abound of irregularities in the persons promotion or evidence of incompetence. |
What is the difference between talking on ur phones loudspeakers (or inbuilt car bluetooth) and talking with a passenger seated in the car. I guess very soon.... “Talking while Driving” wld be considered a traffic offense. |
1. Except he plans to run as a dictator or bribe the entire national and state assembly members to do his bidding, how exactly does he plan to make the restructuring work? Ordinary constitution amended, the National Assembly finds it a Herculian task, talk less of doing an entire overhaul of the system these same people are benefiting from. This is akin to asking the National Assembly to reducing their pay. With different persons hving a different idea of how the nation shld be restructured... the debate will go on forever at the assemblies As I see it... the only thing we can do as a nation is to work within the system we currently have and try to perfect it as much as we can. Or there is a war or some major tragedy, a dictator takes over and “orders” the restructuring. So... no, his idea is just a pipe dream. |
Location for inspection please? |
... and we all mostly still think the problem with Nigeria is the “system” and not the people within the system... We the people are our own problem. We do not need a new system, we need a new people. |
location please? |
