Do you think i am a religious fanatic or i am stupid. I read is policies as head of state and i am totally disgusted about so many decrees and actions taken by his government. I know you would want to say they are mere propaganda but let us be honest why is He (Buhari) and some of his supporters always trying to brush aside some of his heinous policies in the past. Secondly, i don't see him improving this country because i feel he is out of torch on modern realities. Jonathan is not perfect but some of his policies has influenced me positively and i honestly don't have confidence in Buhari has a president of Nigeria.

Ur premise, sound as it may seem is quite flawed. Its like saying you will not buy a benz in 2015 bcause u heard the old model used to consume fuel and was problematic even after the company assures u of upgrades. Saying u wld rather stick to the ford u hv used for 4yrs+ and hv felt first hand how bad it is. (Ps: ford and benz used just for illustrative purposes)

Personally... I say, give the upgraded benz a trial again, and not keep suffering because u scared of a change which has a 50percent chance of success against the almost 100percent certainty of the fords bad performance..... #nuffsaid!!

Prof osibanjo does not only hv way more than enough publications, but if his monographs are published individually as is done for "Phd and publication". ... he wld hv atleast close to a dozen PHDs. Esp considering that for PHD and publications, most schools world over are happy with just 4 to 5 publications. Hence the general shift to PHD by publication.

Ps.. I inow guys with phds that hv less than 10 high impact publications and some lousy thesis. And no other meaningful publications therefter.

My point is.. Give me an Osibanjo with an Ond and this number of publications anyday.. and I call him a prof. Give me a GEJ with his 'missing" phd thesis and no publications and I call him a MR. .. kapish?

WHY POLICIES FAIL IN NIGERIA

Any successful policy is like making a pot of soup. All ingredients must be added at the right time and at the right proportion. Which is where policy makers in nigeria get it all wrong.

Why no locally assembly plants are in Nigeria has little to do with only the duties on the imported cars. The other ingredients are not just right.

Power supply
Condusive environment
Corrupt govt officials
And of course. . The low tarrif on the imported cars.

Increasing just the tariff without the other ingredients wld amount to the policy failing on the long run. Its just akin to getting maggi and expecting a delicacy. Heck, we dnt even hv the fire and/or pot, removing tariff is like just having the maggi even befor the pot and fire.

Smtimes I just cnt help but wonder how critical our policy makers are

This is one of those questions that do not hv a definite answer. Its akin to asking why we all behave the way we do.... male and female.

One thing we must know and appreciate is how masterful God (nature, whatever u believe in) is. Simple answer.... its just the wiring.

I mean, I female baby, even when an only child wld generally start playing with dulls at a very early age, even when they are other toys to play with. Just like the boy child wld prefer the guns and or the cars (atleast in most cases sha)

Once in a while... some pples wiring are off..... but for the greater part, women are wired to love kids, and most often one or two arnt just enough.
