LoL Omo I never thought I'll try betting until recently. All those punters that drop games steady I feel they are affiliated with them . As in when they drop code thousands of people play and it cut must of the time. But the one they'll play for themselves or few number of people will always work. So they sacrifice people's money for their own win.

Anyway , if you have sporty, betwinner or 1xbet be dropping the code let me be using my data money to play atleast it's better than wasting the money on reading about Yeyebitries all day.

Friendship is not by force but by choice. You can be sensible to choose friends that adds value to your life and help you move forward. You don't need to leave your friends as it were, you only need to properly define your friendship. You can hang around with them once in a while but you must understand that you need people that will help achieve your dream. They also don't have to "super glue friends" but as i said earlier the relationship with them also is defined.

And if you know that your current friends are negatively impacting you, dear friend you have to move on or get trapped in irrevocable academic failure.

This my university friends I've noticed are not good at supporting ones goals . Whenever I come up with an idea or a passion they always find ways to kill it tho they do so jokingly,,, but alas words cut deep especially to a sensitive person like me. I feel like I'm trapped between making a right or wrong decision and it's been bugging me for a long time now

Though I know they can change, I have just about enough will power for myself right now.

between your friends and a bright future, choose one

Everyone has a story to tell, I was isolated while growing up(friends and everything cancelled for me) and when I meet this people, I guess I felt I have found a group of people who finally understands me.

What am I saying sef , I'll pick my future because I can't jeopardize my chances of furthering my academics outside because of a few friends.

Thanks for the advice.

1. change your friends. start moving with those that have value for education. those that read like they will die if they don't get 1st class.

2. know the basics about your course of study. if it involves practicals - know them very well.
if it involves field works - get involved.

3. pray (if you believe in a supreme being)

4. be hopeful

5. start getting acquinted with lecturers and people of repute

6. learn a skill.

i can explain my reasons for every suggestion i made

Honestly, I'm scared of leaving my friends and if I try to make new friends now , I don't know if they'll stay. But it doesn't matter because they won't be there with me when I show my parents my results.

I already have a skill tho I'm yet to be perfect at it.

But can I still make a good result?
Education / Nlanders, Please Help Me Out!!! by born2loveee(f): 4:53am On Sep 21, 2021
Hello nlanders, I school in a federal university in Nigeria and honestly I'm not impressed with my academic results. Truly the saying show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are is playing out in my life right now, my friends are those who are not academic agile , the type that says 'school is scam' or any type of results you get is not important in a country like Nigeria. And frankly , I know I've joined their bandwagon and I've lost most interest in schooling.

The problem here is that this set of my friends always have a guy or family member around helping them out financially while I don't. In fact, I'm the first born of my family and I suppose to set the pace for my younger ones plus I'm not interested in following guys to live off them.

I've always have big dreams of making both myself and my family proud and being as independent as I can even as a lady and I can't afford to have my academic dreams crushed because of friends that do not care or probably find a guy later to foot their bills.

I have a GP of 3.8 and 3.21( licensed to more correction cause I don't know how to calculate it) in my first and second year respectively

Can I at least make a second class upper if I change my academic habits

NB: I'm saying most things mildly, it's pretty serious.
Politics / NIN: Is The Government Trying To Control The Activities Of It's Citizen? An OPIN by born2loveee(f): 12:39pm On Jan 07, 2021
The sudden need to get one's NIN (National Identification Number) linked to personal and business phone numbers has been a source of concern to me. During registration of any Sim ,one is required to provide finger prints and a must do face capture to make the registration complete and sometimes your email is also connected to the Sim card.

What then is the federal government goal in making it a must to include an identification number?

For most of us that have the identification number, if you can recall during the registration we provided sensitive details like our home addresses, BVN numbers, down to both immediate parents state of origin and local governments.

The government are yet to give any concrete reason on why the need to link such sensitive information to phone numbers.

If you recall during the endsars protest some people alleged to have received strange calls from private numbers threatening and asking them to stop leading the protests.

I can't help but worry about the motive of the federal government behind this move.

I sincerely hope it won't be used against us in the general election in 2023, or in any national crises.

Pls I really need your thought on this. Or am I over worrying?

It's really tiring to always read condescending articles about Nigerian women in this forum, reason why I left for a long time to preserve my mental health.
If all the girls you meet are gold diggers it's entirely your fault. Now let's assume your sisters friends or your mom friends daughters are productive and hard-working, then go for them and shut the bleep up . Tueh,,, always whinnying like a child as if you know all the girls/ladies in Nigeria.

So here is one.
I suppose I was in primary 5 or thereabouts in 2010.
My school then, had two gates (we called it big gate and small gate)which was directly opposite of each other.
I usually take the route of the big gate even if it was far from my house .

Then there was this day I decided to follow the small gate after giving in to peer pressure, for sure I did know the road that led to my house from the small gate.

Suddenly, one of my friends blurted out that she knows a short cut and it also happened to be a farm filled with mangoes and oranges that will lead to our destination fastest.
I was unsure for a moment, but what was wrong with catching a few adventures?
I dismissed my worry and followed them especially with the thought of catching some few treats along the way.

Few minutes into our journey, we came across a very big stream which had huge stones in it to enable one pass across. I looked at my friends and they were all grinning probably thinking our adventure has started already, well I was scared out of my wits and i can't really remember how I managed to cross that stream with the slimy Stones inside the water.

Moments later we came across another stream at least twice bigger than the one before. unfortunately it rained heavily the night before and the other water was overflowing without any rocks or stone in view.
It so happens that there was a building beside the water with some Haggard, old looking, forgotten blocks which I noticed passerby where using to get across the water while some were dipping their legs into the thighs reaching water as if it was the most natural thing to do in the world.

Haa!! How will a very, very slim person like me get across the water without it carrying me along lol

By now I was a bundle of mess with tears flowing freely down by cheeks already my friends have crossed to the other side of the water laughing their heads off at my predicament, they called me ajebutter, mummy's pet amongst other things and that only fueled my crying. Lol

No I can't go back because I had no one to help me across the slimy stream which we've already encountered.
At last one Uncle who noticed what was going on decided to help me by backing me and crossing the water .
My friends did not stop laughing and teasing me all the way.
It did not even occur to me that we were supposed to pick mangoes and oranges when we finally got to the farm. Lol. I couldn't wait to get home talk more of plucking mangoes.

From that day I vowed to never divert from the way I know , or get inticed.

But I have broken the damn promises now anyway LOL

why don't you guys sit and talk extensively about this, find out what he wants to do about the situation. I feel as the last he doesn't want to offend his family, it could still be his complexity issue raising up.
anyway you can't force yourself, don't cajole him so something does not go wrong later and he has you to blame. everything is up to him.
