PoliticsRe: What Can Be Done To Curb Corruption In Nigeria? by boron10(m): 9:52am On Jan 16, 2013
stupor: Its very simple.

Checks and balances.
By ensuring gòvernment agency like the EFCC monitors all monetary and finance relcontracts,expenditure,pay-outs,Expenses,budgets etc from the first day the cheque is signed and approved to the very last day the project is completed and executed.

EFCC should monitor every little spending and bring tO fore any expenditure which has been carried out-in an ultra-vire manner i.e not according to what has been earmarked for such projects.

This is the check and balance being operated by The United States.

EFCC shòuld be aware of any Government spending nô matter how small it may seem, till the very last day the contract would be totally completed.

With this, any misappropriation would be easily detected and not when the government officials have embezzled the money !

EFCC should be aware of whose Govt Contract is expended upon, amount paid, date for execution completion and not to wait till the money had been embezzled before taking their 'James Bond' action.

If EFCC cannot do these things, then I think they have no rights chasing fraud perpetrators around when the evil deed had been done and already carried out.

This is the basics and if US does it,why not Nigeria, except EFCC officials are also parties to all the scams and frauds itself.

Otherwise why would they be eager to investigate scams that had already been perpetrated and not investigate scams from the very beginning before it gets blue and shady.

EFCC do your work !

Monitor all Govt.Payables from scratch and not from the end when the money gets stolen !
So there is no corruption in EFCC ba?

Sorry to say o, the only solution to our corruption is allowing our colonial masters to re-colonize us. We were not ripe for independence when we got it.

dangiwa09: @kx

As expected, you miss the point by a mile. The larger point is simply to highlight the benefits of having a global view point and mental process, and not squirming in a dwarfed, sychophant, ignorant and pedestrian ignominy.
You have not communicated

Op, i totally disagree with number 1. Lack of breakfast has no negative impact whatsoever on the brain. From my personal experience, i tend to concentrate more in class whenever i refuse to take breakfast before going to class. I even read it somewhere that excess food causes the brain to age quickly.

Ok, you've succeeded in naming few failed Governors from the south, needless to say they did better than their past and present igbo counterparts.

You may as well mention an Igbo governor that has done a great job worthy of accolades from those they rule.
PoliticsRe: What Exactly Is Rochas Doing In Imo State? by boron10(m): 7:36am On Jan 13, 2013
I'm not surprised he hasn't done anything meaningful. Like every other igbo leaders, Rochas sees being in governorship position as an avenue to enrich himself more.

Igbo men had better put more effort in business rather than go into politics where their cluelessness are exposed.
PoliticsRe: I Was Not Arrested By EFCC - Soludo by boron10(m): 11:57am On Jan 12, 2013
Okorocha, Soludo, theodor orji, orji uzor kalu are all thieves. Yet the gullible backward people in those states they rule celebrate them. They are clamouring for secession. If they're given independence sef, are these not the people who would rule them?

As a state, there is no development of any sort, would there be anything better if they become a nation?

The igbos need to open their eyes and cease to support their corrupt leaders. Once you engage in an aguement with them, they resort to violence, yet they can't use their strength to protest against their corrupt politicians.

Anyway, if EFCC decide to investigate properly, the thief will be found guilty. And I hope EFCC would investigate other equally corrupt ibo leaders.
