Good evening,
I need help. I did a drop box and my passport was returned. I was asked to schedule interview appointment. Are my supposed to pick a date like others (available date for Lagos is Aug 2024) or I will be given a special consideration for a closer date?

Thanks

No you don’t need to, if they need further documentation, they will schedule you for 221g.

All you need:

Your current passport
Passport with the expired visa
1 passport photograph (the required size)
DS-160 confirmation page
Visa fee payment receipt
Appointment schedule print-out

Good day people,

I want to renew our visa through drop box. Do we need to add receipts child birth to the documents to be submitted at DHL or not?
Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by borryworld: 11:30pm On Dec 18, 2022
Did you include your receipts in the drop box application
Rikkytokunbo:
I second your opinion.

Uh oh… why don’t you just try IW, if they need you to appear, then they’ll invite you. Idk.. I had a baby in U.S 2019, yet I got an IW approval without interview.

I couldn't pick a date for the dropbox too because it looks more like physical interview
Enishit:

For others who might not understand this is how it looks like but the appointment confirmation page must be presented at the Dhl drop off center which is either Ikeja or Isolo . No other place is allowed in lagos

Did you pick Lagos? It only appears for Lagos and not for Abuja

@seyewest do you have an idea of the May 1, 2022 restriction on Lagos Embassy IW program?
seyewest:

Your name on DS160 and International Passport must match, that should be your concern. The CGI profile encourage just 2 names.
Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by borryworld: 10:02am On Nov 29, 2022
The marked message shows for IW application when you select Lagos as preferred Embassy. Why is the restriction/limitation on Lagos and not Abuja. Anybody with fact on this.

YES. That is the instruction on the site. Let me know how it goes.

Thank you so much, this is good news. Another huddle is, we've already booked an interview appointment for April 2024 prior to this new development. Should I cancel and select IW option?

I paid for my Visa in August, you mean I am not qualified? Where can I read about the May 2021 limitation?.
Funiam:
You wld need to apply asap b4 Feb 2023. The embassy is only giving priority to visa fees paid before May 1, 2022.
If the question pops up on your profile, give a honest answer and wait for the next page...
Guess this only for Lagos

Please where did you get the May 1, 2022 visa fee payment criteria? I can't find it anywhere. My visa expired Feb 2019 and I paid for a new visa fee in August 2022.
Tamad101:
Yes, you now qualify for interview waiver provided you paid visa fee prior to May 1 2022. Dropbox validity has been extended to 48 months. I was able to get appointments dates for both my parents for 1st week in Dec

1. When we pay for visa on arrival with card is it naira card or dollar card

2. How early do you write Nigeria immigration for the approval for your LO VOA
You will pay with a Dollar card or pay $190 in cash. Apply as soon as you have your LO passport. Approval takes like 2 working days.

If you are going with just this little, I'll advise that you go to any bdc and ask for $20 notes. You may get it for like N340 to $1. I only got to know this recently, smaller denominations don't sell at the same rate as the $100 note. Please also note that when you come back to the country with these smaller notes, you may not be able to sell more that N335 to $1. Also note that the banks reject deposit of smaller notes except the big $100 note. This was my personal experience few months ago. You can thank me later.
This is very true. The Nigerian Immigration Service doesn't not take any note other than $100 bill for cash payment for Visa on Arrival. In addition to your advise, one can change the note to 100s while in the US.

Am also a victim of this same woman her name is Rachael Uwabunkeonye Okwagbe nairaland id is "Rayray". She is a thief and a very greedy woman, I can't express my feelings .
I knew it. God answered my prayers. I can't recollect how I got linked to her. God saved me from the devil. I am thanking him greatly for providing a wonderful host at no cost. When people are willing to pay they still went through this in the hand of a fellow country man. Too bad.
I am using this opportunity to thank my wonderful host for the gesture and his kind heart. I pray America or wherever you may choose to live will bring you Allah's Rahma and peace. And to everyone that supported my family during the missionary journey, Allah will continue to enrich you all and provide you at your time of need.

Yes. You will need a transit visa. You will do it yourself via their website or at the Turkish airport on your way back. Payment can only be made with an American bank card, no cash. Confirm the amount for Nigerian passport holder, it use to be $40. Travelling with American passport is $20

Accommodation - After my horrible experience living with a family friend during my last missionary journey, I decided to rent a one bedroom apartment via Airbnb. Paid $3,400 for 11 weeks. God blessed me with the most fantastic airbnb host ever. I can't sing her praises enough. She made sure I had everything I needed in the apartment to make me comfortable. She bought a dry mill blender so I could blend my banga and pepper soup spices, bought a bassinet for my baby, books and toys for my toddler daughter and a sweater for my mum when it got cold. She took me to my doctor appointments, to the hospital, passport appointment, shopping, sightseeing and then returned to pick me up afterwards when she could. She took me to pick my husband up from the airport when he arrived and even went to drop him when he was returning. Upon my departure, her car was too small to fit me and my countless bags so she rented a truck just so she could drop us off at the airport. At the airport, she helped with my bags and paid a trolley guy to move my bags to the check in area before leaving. All this she did at no extra cost to me. Even when I offered to buy her fuel for her car, she'd vehemently refuse and tell me I am spending enough already as it is. This is a total stranger o, oyibo woman at that. Someone I didn't know from Adam and had never met before. I was beyond amazed at her hospitality and generosity. She saved me a lot on transportation and made my trip a lot easier. She was simply amazing to my family and I. God bless her immensely!

Maybe she is the Aunty Favour many were looking for. I can imagine the joy in your heart for meeting her kind. I had a wonderful experience too with my host (not a paid accommodation). He helped with transportation (I refuse to drive his car) and our families feed together. I can't stop praying for the family and others that made journey splendid.
