Good morning guys, we did bio on June 20th for a family of 3, MA got empty nsf june 23rd. Just last week Thursday after paid mail we got a reply that decision made on MA application while the 2 dependents are awaiting decision. We have been expecting tracker to move or collection mail to drop since. Please could it be the awaiting decision for the dependents that is delaying the MA's collection mail from dropping. |

Good morning @duchess90, so what is your take on people who already uploaded and submitted their pof before the inflation in FX, but are yet to do biometric. Have seen people with different opinions, some day ukvi uses the rate on the day your application is been decided by eco. Thank you duchess90: Hello
Policies are policies for a reason
There are other countries with worse volatile currency fluctuations
Would you expect UKVI to bend policies for currency fluctuations for every country??
There are options of paying more deposit to your Uni's and/or paying for accommodation to help buffer the difference.
A straight answer to your question No. If the criteria for study visa application are met, and documents are genuine then the applicant's visa will be issued, if not then it will be refused.
Cheers |

Pls, i paid for IHS and Visa on 9th June, but i didn't print my pof and upload on tls till 14th to booked biometric. Pls does that mean my pof is not up to 28days. It's kinda confusing |

Good morning everyone, please i want a clarification on how ukvi calculate pof. Is it the rate on the date application is been decided or the rate on the date you uploaded and submitted all documents. Cos different ppl have been saying different things on that. |

Hello everyone, please what is the best way to get the same appointment time for both MA and dependants for biometric, i heard some dependants who didn't have appointment were allegedly refused biometric last week. Secondly will booking the same appointment date cut the cost of paying the 44k walk-in fee. |

Good morning guys, i want to ask if it's okay to bombard UKVI with every document i deem necessary when applying or be minimal and let them ask for whatever they needed. For example, attaching as much proof of relationship with my wife and maybe 2 or 3 reference letter as evidence of study gap. Thank you |

Sorry about that, please what questions were you asked during the interview, my wife is going for dundee too. Wakando: Guys Good evening. I recently had an interview with a representative from Dundee University. She informed me that I failed the interview and that I should schedule another one. If i didn't pass next one will that affect my chances of receiving a cas from another institution? |

I know, though we applied to another schools with her maiden name, marriage cert and other evidence of marriage are available, but would you advice we should go for the schools done with her maiden name or this too should be fine? Cheers dduchess90: Hello
She should have applied with her maiden name
2. She should submit the affidavit and marriage certificate when applying for her visa in this situation.

Hello all, my wife been the MA decided to use my surname for few schools application, even though none of her documents has my surname. Even her passport carrys her maiden name. Stirling asked for affidavit of name change which we provided and she was given offer. Now having secured admission with my surname, won't UKVI have an more query for us? |

Thank you, but if she uses her maiden name, do we now choose Mrs or Miss for title and also can one choose married while still using her maiden name. Kinda confusing dduchess90: Hello
1. She can use her maiden name, your marriage certificate and other documents will be the proof of your relationship
2. She will need to havea court order declaring her the sole custody before she can apply for her child dependant
Cheers |

My first question is, should my wife apply to schools using her full name or she should use my surname instead. She has no document with my surname on it, will it just be better she use her full name, even though married to me. Why I'm curious is, won't the school be thinking since we are married she should be using my surname? I hope you understand. Nelsmannnnnnnnn: Hi, I didn't really get your first question. You might want to rephrase it. As for your second question, is the biological father of the child still alive, if yes, does she have the consent/full custody of the child legally? |

Good evening all, please i have few questions to ask.
1, My wife is the main applicant and we got married 2021, her passport and all other documents are in her father's surname, my question is when applying to schools should we use my surname as "Mrs" or her surname as "Mrs". We only have our marriage cert has proof of been married.
2, She has a child before we got married with another man and the child bears the father's surname, will the different surnames not going to be an issue in our application.
I will appreciate your quick response please. |

Darvick: If your mum is British citizen by birth, you should be a British citizen too. Are you sure your mum is a British citizen by birth? If she is she should apply for a British passport for you.
You need to read more about right to a British citizenship, google how to be a British citizen. All the rules conditions will come up and see if you meet the requirements.
Please follow this up, don’t waste your golden opportunity. Have attached and See the link
https://www.gov.uk/check-british-citizenship/born-in-the-uk-between-1-january-1983-and-1-october-2000 Oh no! My mum is not British by birth, she just a British residence, but the rest of my siblings are British by birth. Thank you for the prompt replies and guidelines |

Darvick: See attached doc and read it, once they know you have many members of your family in UK, they would believe you wanna go join them and it would be easy for you to fight for family right to stay in UK. With this they will just pick irrelevant points to refuse someone.
How come you are not giving right of appeal for family visit ? That’s strange. I just don't know why i wasn't given right of appeal, I'm a building contractor and i submitted my well runned statement of account of almost 200pages....i guess it might be due to the point you made of me having so much family in the UK, probably thinking i won't return back to naija |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by boss1401: 12:51pm On Aug 27, 2019 |
Darvick: Did they give you right of appeal ? Under human right/right to family under article 8 of immigration rules, You should be given right of appeal or administrative review, this is a family visit and not tourist visa that doesn’t have right of appeal.
These people tried to cancel appeal for all visits so that they can be refusing anyhow. Reason they limit family to just husband wife children parents and grandparents. Sister brother uncle cousin not under family anymore. They said NO right of appeal or administrative review, do you advice I chill out a bit and reapply later? I was to attend my younger brother graduation which is far gone in July anyway. I have my mum and all siblings who are British by birth in UK, im the only one born in naija. I don't know if there are other type of visa category suitable for me besides Family visit. Thank you everyone for the love. |
