I have a family friend inviting/sponsoring me for vacation in the UK come December, someone is of the opinion he file an application for me over there since he is sponsoring me..according to the person the UK embassy will see if he is eligible to invite/sponsor me
then he would b giving a letter for me to present at the embassy here......and that if I meet their requirements here then I would be granted visa without filling online application form.
Can someone confirm this for me.

Hi All, I got my visa today ,
Lemme advise y'all, don't book any hotel needing credit card details because any funny events can happen with your card or your bank. This situation almost got me unnerved. When you get your visa, you can then book your hotel of interest for your stay. I had to call the hotel I booked like a million times after they cancelled my booking and had no availability on my dates, when I already submitted my application. Of which my bank were the ones blocking the transaction on my card, I showed those ones na when I went there. Told them they will refund my visa fee, if I got denied because of the issue. All in all, for a frequent UK traveller, this is the first time I have been so anxious about the outcome of my visa that I almost had high BP. Thank God o, LESSON LEARNT, no way will I ever reserve an hotel requiring credit card info for my visa application.

I applied to renew my visit visa to the UK. But I have a problem. The hotel I booked mailed me today that my reservation has been cancelled. I have already submitted and done biometrics using this hotel details. I just re-booked the hotel now, but my fear is that the booking now has another confirmation number. Does anyone know if this will cause an issue with the ECO, when they try to confirm my reservation, or does the ECO confirm reservations at all?. Although, I have studied in the UK before and also, visited the UK twice after that on a visit visa.

I arrived london on that same flight,the airline we connected with wad Qantas airline,an Australian airline,there service was also superb,its just d cultural difference they didn't put into consideration,like food and stuff,i enjoyed emirates meals especially the 2bottles of white wine i drank,i couldn't relate well with the meal offered on Qantas,above all,i felt a guilt that i needed to pay extra to both airlines for their superb services.

Yes u are right. That Qantas meal ws something else. I was like what da heck is ds, when I tasted d food. I jst respected myself, put d food aside, drank water and Pepsi and continued wit my movie.

It's just one 30kg, which u can split into 20 pieces if u like, but must all equal 30. But of course u have ur hand luggage too.

So I arrived Heathrow 1:45pm. Didnt get my luggage examined which got me regretting nt parking my palmoil. Any ways flew Emirates and it ws rilly smooth. The service ws 9ce. My flight had a one way stop at Dubai. Dubai intl airport is like d finest I ave ever seen. I ws rilly mesmerised. After 1hr transit time we took off for heathrow. Bt wht pissed me off ws dt it ws Emirates we were connected 2 for dubai 2 London bt one other dt I cant rilly rem. Having received Emirates service on d trip to dubai, I fell in love wit dem already and sure am a loyal customer of deirs already. And even wit 30kg luggage allowance I ws still allowed my 33kg.
chillaxing 2day at east london wit my cos, preparing 2 head 2 Leicester 2moro which by bus is said 2 be 2hrs 30mins, which got me wandering when I will stop travelling? Can I just get to Leicester already..oops...it's like it's taking 4eva 2 get 2 dmu.
Well am glad d weather in London ds 9t is 9ce. It's nt cold atall, which means I can gracoously stretch myself and ave a sound sleep ave been denied on those flights.

You don't have anything to worry about. Call your school very early tomorrow morning and try as much as possible for them to send your CAS same day or latest, Friday. It is all possible.

Make ur application this weekend and remember to select Abuja. If possible, you can get appointment date early next week and that will give you 3 weeks for processing which btw, Abuja processes within 2 weeks

Thank you so much @spikesC I followed ur advice. Made some deposit d day after ds post, got a new cas d wed after, booked at vfs abj for dt fri and flew to submit at vfs abj on fri 12th, and 2day 19Th I got my approval mail frm abj. Thk u so much. Much grace to yr elbow.

I submitted at ikeja on the 10th of sep. Ikeja peeps, anyone getting similar message in approval mail. Does this mean i go to teleperformance to pick up or what do you think? My status on vfs website still says your visa application has been forwarded to british highcommission.

Saw this on the vfs website. Good to knw that collection pf passport is still on in Abj till 26th. Cos I cant imagine hw I will feel if my application is pass on to teleperformance. It wld ave been devastating, because I didnt want them 2 lay their hands on my passport ws d reason I flew frm Lag 2 Abj in d first place.

Since an agent is involved in this I will not be replying further on this, somebody is paid already to do this job. Have a discussion with that agent. Good luck

Thanks at justwise for this. U were actually right tho I was mad at u cos of d agent stuff u mentioned. Thankfully got my package delivered 2day at my Enugu lodge even tho I neither received message nor test that I paid wit my hard earned 400naira. I got a refusal tho, and d reason been wht u stated above. EcO said my tuition is£ 12200 wit maintenance £7380 making 19580, bt that my LG scholarship is worth 5M which is only £18444. And that they contacted my LG if they were willing to be responsible for the rest of the maintenance, but they declined. And since I have nt provided any further evidence of any other funds, that it wsnt sufficient.

So, I can say u were right.
but nw I intend to reapply this time adding my mom's statement. But the problem is that latest arrival date for my course is oct 1st, and b4 I can get a new CAS and reapply can be like tue or wed leaving exactly 14 or 15 working days 4 processing, and we knw d standard is to allow 15 working days. Pls am confused, wht can I do. Shd I still go ahead and reapply or just forfeit the admission thus d scholarship. It's really the scholarship that is paining me if it's wasted. Pls I need some suggestions

Hey Mr Justwise, I paid no agent. Said I used Ukeas agent. U can google abt them if u aint heard of dem b4. They are education advisory agents, and all over the world there seevices are absolutely free. The school is DMU Leicester, school fees is 12200 pounds. And Leicester is outside London
The agent I made mentioned of is a Ukeas agent.
