2mch: In Finance there is a reason why they cap years of service. It creates too much opportunity to commit fraud. That fixed term is not because they want to share amongst tribes or because it’s political. You literally have too much money at your disposal and if you know your term is short, to be possibly audited by the next Governor, you will be cautious as a professional.
This is why dictators act with impunity. They have too much time on their hands and opportunity
Well stated, but Buhari is the worst leader Nigeria ever had and the spineless Osinbajo in charge of his economic team did not advise him to sack Emefiele for incompetence
Obi and his followers are shameless and insincere bunch of jokes. They are all residing and living in the comfort and peaceful environment of Lagos whilst expressing deeply rooted hatred for their host community and leaders. Obi is deeply divisive and will definitely plunge Nigeria into a civil war if he gets the chance to be president
Penguin2: As usual, Tinubu has recruited faceless idiots to issue statements in the name of Ohaneze to make it seem like Ohaneze is defending a criminal who the rest of Nigeria is celebrating his arrest.
That’s how they bought and commissioned another idiot who calls himself Okechukwu Isiguzoro to issue scrupulous statements in the name of Ohaneze during the elections.
What we don’t understand is why Tinubu and Owambe boys are going this far just to tarnish the name of Igbos.
Or are they so threatened by Igbos?
According to Kanu, mad people everywhere expressing deeply frustrated comments
Obakoolex: I used to think you are real nigga until weed started turning your reasoning upside down....why can't you be optimistic for Tinubu governance for once rather than expecting doom for yourself always...
He’s a fake ass wannabe. Real niggas are coded and don’t go on SM bragging about smoking weed or the number of pussy they smashed
Emefiele is a compound fool and deeply naive to think he can escape justice with all the atrocities he committed. His phone has been hacked tey tey by DSS and the evidence against him is overwhelming
Have you asked yourself how APC got their 5k votes?
Because maybe nobody actually voted APC at all in Anambra or anywhere in the Southeast but APC used force to allocate some figures to themselves, no matter how small, just so they don’t appear not to have presence in the southeast at all.
Nsogbu001: Three months after arriving in the UK, Nigerian student arrested for allegedly attempting to date children
A Nigerian man identified as Cyril Kenneth has been arrested by the police after being accused of dating minors in Belfast, UK.
According to a video shared by warriors of children, Kenneth who arrived in February for his masters degree, was arrested after multiple children between the ages of 14 and 15 reported him with evidence of him grooming and sexually harassing them.
In the text messages he had with some of the victims, Kenneth sent his unsolicited indecent pictures, asked some of them for their house addresses, invited one of them to his house for sex, amongst other disturbing messages.
The suspect, however, confessed to the crime and blamed it on temptation from the devil. He said he contacted the kids because he needed friends as he was new to the country. He was subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation and possible prosecution(instablog)
Most Nigerian graduates are not well informed, they literally learn nothing at Uni. No one has the right to interrogate you without your lawyer present. He should have replied with “No Comment“ - he has the right to remain silent, it’s standard procedure in the world
Cashless policy that people died It was during cashless I know that uch Ibadan doesn’t take transfer u must pay in cash, do u know d number of patients that died?
I locked shop for close to 2 months Do u know d number of people that strip naked in banks or u didn’t have data then? In Ibadan here, a family had money but no cash n they have to give their children sleeping pill so they will sleep n before they wake up they would have gotten money, the children died in their sleep
During cashless I will have to send money to my customer like 3 days before n wit enough call as reminder
No make me vex for u this boy
I went to sleep hungry even wit money in my account
U no well at all comparing cashless to subsidy removal
If that nlc guy didn’t talk during cashless he should keep quiet for life
Redoil: Tinubu once opposed subsidy removal during GEJ administration when cost of living was relatively cheap. His party is in government for the past eight years and they didn't build any refinery. The masses will suffer it the more now his party has removed subsidy in the midst of suffering. ' Same way when the past regime of President Goodluck Jonathan wanted to remove and rid Nigeria of this economic monster 13 years ago, but all you demons in the APC vehemently opposed him only to perpetuate the same fraudulent fuel subsidy then lied of removing it again and again. Bunch of fucktards and retards.
and as for you posting this clip carry your broom go filling station and shout emilokan and see the amount of biscuit that will fill your jerrycan
Jonathan was spineless, anyone can oppose your policies but a president should be assertive and enforce policies in the general interest of the people
May I never sell my conscience because of tribal affiliations. The only way I can benefit is if we elect a leader accountable to the masses not one that feels its his turn.
You have definitely been brainwashed, you just don’t know it because you’re stupid and lazy to analyse facts. Now, ask yourself, why did Peter Obi refused to conduct LG Elections when he was governor? if he was a leader accountable to the masses as you claimed above. Ironically, The local government is the closest to the masses
Nigeria will burn if the people could get a glimpse of the atrocities committed by Emeifele and the Aso Rock cabal. The guy and his cronies were literally printing our naira and swapping it for foreign currency. They came up with the naira design to enable fake naira printed abroad to mix with the naira currency in circulation. It would take ages to figure out the damaged done by a few during Buhari administration due to the advanced level of corruption it perpetrated
tomitrace: War destroys cities: Every Nigeria City or aspiring city should learn something from the Collapse of Warri as Oil City👇👇👇
Warri was a big industrial hub in the 70's - 90's.
Warri Refinery, NNPC, DSC, Delta Glass, Shell, Chevron, Schlumberger, Dunlop, Agip, Saipem, Halliburton were in full operation back then. Escravos & Forcados were at their peak.
The city thrived. The city was full of zeal and zestful activities. People living outside hardcore Warri called themselves Wafarians because of propinquity to Warri even though they were not Wafarians. To be a Wafarian was to belong to supposedly a unique lifestyle.
Multinational/Local Banks were present Citibank, FBN, ACB, Savannah Bank.
Business activities thrived. Warri port was a beehive of economic activities
Entertainment/Night life was at its peak, Musicians, Live bands at Palmgroove Hotel, Comedians held their sway: Fela, legendary Don Baker, Majek Fashek, Emma Grey, Oritz Wiliki, Rex Lawson were a few of many of the entertainers that made Warri ebullient. Lido, Zina, etc were comparable to their ilks anywhere.
The town was full of life and it thrived.
McDermot road was busy with Maritime activities and contractors. Kingsway Mall offered anything sold in Lagos at that time.
Joma & Mosheshe were big fish distributors across the Niger Delta.
Rubber produced locally, was used to produce plastics and tyres.
The town grew in size and became a conurbation with people coming from all over the country to settle down in Warri for economic activities.
The Airports were super busy, Escravos, Forcados & Warri Airport. The Warri Airport was even relocated to Osubi for expansion.
Warri was revelling in its glory. Warri Port was fully operational and served as an economic booster for the city. It served businesses in Warri, Benin, Asaba & Onitsha. The Port created huge employment opportunities for locals and the state.
Things started to go downhill from the late 90's. The community leaders and youth chairmen began to fight themselves over control/sharing formula for royalties that came from oil & businesses from settlers.
Itsekiri, Urhobo & Ijaw leaders & youths started fighting each other. The bloody fight started around 1999 and lasted for years till 2003/2004.
The community leaders started imposing local taxes called "Deve" on all companies, industries and local businesses, buildings & projects.
Little by little, the companies frustrated, started leaving.
This continued throughout the early 2000's till 2010. The companies kept on leaving, one after the other. The companies layed off their employees. Unemployment rose.
More companies left for PH, Lagos, Akwa Ibom. They layed off more staff. Unemployment increased still.
Today all that is left in Warri, is a shadow of its glorious past.
95% of all the big companies in Warri had either left or closed down.
Most of the young people have left Warri.
The ones left are driving Keke, doing P.O.S, Spa or Boutique, Beer parlour or doing hookup.
There's peace now, but the damage the greedy community leaders did to Warri, still lingers on and is almost irredeemable at this point.
Do not assume that your city can not be destroyed if it toes the same route Warri followed. Warri leaders did not ever believe that Warri will be this economically empty today while they were fighting then. Learn from Warri and protect our economies
Have you asked why big eeconomies like US, China, etc will never allow war in their countries?
We must learn and avoid things that will trigger war in our country no matter how strong we believe we are. Businesses and investors go where there is peace than where there is war.
Follow us on This Is Nigeria
Very interesting write up but you deliberately left out the the fact that Warri was the origin of Kidnapping
chukkystar: I just Pray he works. The hardship is too much. People haven't even seen food to eat left alone to have strength to complain. I just Pray he Works
He will work for you bro IJN Amen. Just keep your faith, it’s a personal thing
This monumental failure (F9 parallel) would soon try to go on a borrowing spree, but the good news is that no serious financial institution will lend to him. We are about to witness the the worst governed state in the history of Nigeria
press9jatv: My Take As Supreme Court Prepare to Deliver Judgment Today.
These are points to note in the previous Apeal Court judgement delivered in favor of Sen. Ademola Adeleke. We should all recall that the Appeal Court which has 3 Judge's as Member that decided the Tribunal Appeal gave unanimous decision. Their unanimous judgment are from this point below.
1. That Adeleke Ademola did not forge any certificate, which was one of the ground that Oyetola/APC used to challenge the declaration of Sen. Ademola Adeleke victory and it will be recall that even at Tribunal it was declared that no forgery in the document submitted to INEC.
2. That Alhaji Oyetola and APC did not proof any over voting at the Tribunal. It should be recall again that the over voting allegations was one of the ground OYETOLA/APC used in challenging the victory but they were unable to prove this over voting allegations and it is said in law that he who assert must proof beyond reasonable doubt.
3. That Oyetola/APC withness who was called to testify and prove the over voting was not an expert in the field. Which means that the evidence wasn't an expert to testify before the court.
4. That the court award the fine of #500,000 to be pay by Oyetola in favour of the Appellant, which means that court did not just award a fine in a litigation without finding such case null and void.
I will be right to say that we shouldn't be surprise if the Apex Court demise OYETOLA/APC appeal against the Appeal Court Jugdement which touch across all area of ground been challenge from the tribunal stage.
To the good people of Osun State, Our joy will last forever, while APC in Osun will continue to enjoy their opposition duty forever and ever.
By 2:00pm we dance and rejoice as we await victory.
I'm USELAW. Odo-Otin Local Government
You are on Nairaland to sway public opinions and garner support for Adeleke Dancer then as usual will accuse the supreme judges of corruption if the court decision does not favour your candidate
DMerciful: You don't know the meaning of fair and square!
If you're logical one bit, you'd asked yourself why was IREV switched of for presidential election only? Why was Obi's vote in Rivers swapped for Tinubu and 11 other states?
You're using previous elections to judge when 2023 election was the only election the youths mobilized massively for a presidential candidate
I will never forget how Peter Obi went to Rivers State and was begging Wike like a baby, and even willing to throw his own Labour Party gubernatorial candidate under the bus.
Very shameless and desperate politician who thought he could decieve the sane electorates.
Pastor Adeboye Prays for Governor Adeleke, Says "God will Continue to Suport You"
● I'm Annointed for Governorship-Governor Adeleke
It was a shower of praise and anointing today at the commissioning of Jennifer Etuh Medical Centre where Pastor Enoch Adeboye blessed and prayed for God's continous support for the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
Speaking at the event held at Ifewara attended by dignitaries from all over the country, Pastor Adeboye beseeched God to grant Governor Adeleke more wisdom, urging him to continue to govern with the fear of God.
Adeboye accompanied by his wife and senior pastors of the Redeemed Christian Church (RCCG) noted that as long as Governor Adeleke continues to uphold the path of God, he will continue to earn the favour of God.
Governor Adeleke had earlier narrated how his governorship ambition started with the anointing and prayers of Pastor Adeboye, testifying that the Lord Almighty has approved and installed him as the Governor of Osun State.
"I remembered Baba Adeboye anointed and prayed for me. His prayer on me is answered and I am here today as the Governor of Osun State.
"Baba has again prayed for me and re-anointed me. I will continue to toe the path of God. I govern by the fear of God. I will not derail as my governorship is anointed by God", Governor Adeleke declared.
Reiterating why he continue to sing and praise God at every occassion, Governor Adeleke said as part of his pact with God, he is instructed not to leave the habit of praise singing.
"When Baba Adeboye was anointing me, he asked me to continue to sing and praise God. So when you see me dancing and praising God, that is my promise to my God as instructed by God. That is my secret", he narrated.
In a commissioning full of praise singing, Pastor Adeboye described the location and completion of the ultra-modern multi-billion naira medical and vocational centre at Ifewara as a divine intervention in favour of Ifewara, praying to God to bless all smaller towns without possibility of government medical and educational interventions.
Praying for the Etuh family and the repose of late Mrs Jennifer, Pastor Adeboye applauded several human intervention programs aim at touching people’s lives promoted and supported by the Etuh family and urged well meaning Nigerians to offer hands of fellowship to their kith and kins.
Governor Adeleke who was accompanied by his brother, Dr Deji Adeleke, the Chief of Staff, Hon Kazeem Akinleye, Hon Sunday Bisi, Hon Adewale Egbedun, Hon Niyi Owolade, Rev Bunmi Jenyo and others later commissioned the medical and the vocational centre.
The Jennifer Etuh Foundation which is responsible for building the medical centre is inspired by late Mrs Etuh who before her death instructed that such medical centres should be built in six zones of the federation. The Ifewara Medical centre is the third of the planned sic medical centres.
Signed: Mallam Olawale Rasheed , Spokesperson to the Executive Governor
It’s obvious that this fat dude is running kitikiti katakata all over the place due to his guilty conscience. Gov Oyetola just calm knowing that justice will prevail
