NYSCRe: FG Overrules NYSC On Posting To Troubled States by boyendowed(m): 1:52pm On Jul 11, 2012
Baawaa: Well-done,98.8% of those who comment on this topic condemned the speech of the minister, whereas we don't put into consideration that this could be the outcome of the meeting he had with the president.GEJ,will be the one that told them that NYSC was established by law,and it cannot be tampered for now because changing it now will have negative effect on his record. So,we should not see the minister alone as the one who want to sacrifice youth corpers.
I agree with you.Like I said in my first post, people should blame Jonathan and not the minister. He couldn't have said that without Jonathan's endorsement

NYSCRe: FG Overrules NYSC On Posting To Troubled States by boyendowed(m): 1:23pm On Jul 11, 2012
maclatunji: The logic is sound and I have loved ones there.
Boko haram is killing Christians and the last time I checked, you are not a Christian. So I don't expect you to understand. So to me,your logic is still twisted
NYSCRe: FG Overrules NYSC On Posting To Troubled States by boyendowed(m): 12:49pm On Jul 11, 2012
maclatunji: You people don't get it, Nigeria is on the verge of becoming a failed state. If Corp members cannot be posted to any part of this country, then the government has failed. Now, I agree that people should not be posted to crisis-ridden states. However, instead of corp members and their families selfishly seeking to "escape" those states, we must ask the question, what about people living in these troubled states? Don't they deserve to live a normal life? Away from looking out for "our own." What pressure have we put on the Federal Government to secure these people's lives and property.

People like me say this every week on Nairaland and elsewhere, we get labelled "enemies of GEJ". You should put the same pressure and energy that you have put into protesting posting of corp members to troubled states into pushing the government to actively and efficiently protect the lives of all Nigerians irrespective of where they live.

Anything short of this is selfishness and hypocrisy and you should be ashamed of yourself on that account.
I hope they will post one of your loved ones to one of those states.Very twisted logic.Your post makes no sense. You are the selfish one and the hypocrite
NYSCRe: FG Overrules NYSC On Posting To Troubled States by boyendowed(m): 12:24pm On Jul 11, 2012
Jonathan makes me sick.Don't blame the minister. He couldn't have said that without Jonathan's support.Jonathan is more interested in pleasing a particular section of the country than doing what is right. Will he live with his conscience if these children are killed? What are the southern Governors doing?None of them have spoken out against these postings.Till these youth corpers become organized and launch a massive boycott, these postings will continue. When less than 20 people report to camp, they will think twice before posting

Musiwa2: You are not expose, it is not a combination of factors... that is stoping us.. You dont know anything about nigeria. They need to break it up to protect the people of Nigeria.
Only if people will put misplaced nationalism aside and speak more like you do.It's better to break peacefully before Nigeria becomes Yugoslavia part 2
PoliticsRe: U.S House Comm. on Foreign Affairs on Nigeria's Security status by boyendowed(m): 10:19pm On Jul 10, 2012
ooseven: I understand your sentiments but a breakup might not be as easy as you think. It may not also be to anyone's advantage. We are strong today simply because of our diversity just like the US. Unfortunately we have a combination of factors stopping us from fully achieving our true potentials. Those are the issues which should be tackled.
I love your optimism and admire your nationalism but it's time to tell ourselves the truth. Our diversity is not like that of the United States. So it's wrong to compare the two.Let's have a Sovereign National Conference. If we decide to stay together, fine but if we decide to break up,fine too.Czech Republic and Slovakia are doing well today

Billyonaire: Its time to import observatory drones, about 20,000 UAVs can monitor the Northern perimeters night and day and the feeds can be analyzed.
I like the point you made about the observatory drones but unfortunately,we don't have people that think that way within our intelligence agencies.
PoliticsRe: Senator Gyang Datong Killed In Jos by boyendowed(m): 7:55pm On Jul 08, 2012
Sun of god: "The funeral was just concluded when heavily armed men in military uniforms descended on the mourners, shooting at the senator and other officials at point blank range."

Was it soldiers - are an armed militia?

Do Boko Haram now have army uniforms? Or have the army joined Boko Haram?
Maybe they stole the uniforms or soldiers participated in the killings.Remember that soldiers were once accused by the berom
PoliticsRe: Senator Gyang Datong Killed In Jos by boyendowed(m): 7:06pm On Jul 08, 2012
Emmy9ite: if a senator can be killed with tight security, who again is safe..am sure at his funeral, gunmen will come and kill another top chief,so will the cycle continue!
Who said he had tight security? There was no mention of tight security in the report.A report I saw said the attackers wore military uniforms.I hope soldiers were not part of this

EducationRe: Flogging Children In School And At Home: Good Or Bad? Whats Your Take? by boyendowed(m): 3:01pm On Jul 08, 2012
Reyginus: Flogging a child will not make him/her a better citizen or person. The touts and scalywags on our streets today passed through the same lashing routine, yet, nothing to justify the stroking they received.I believe communication is the key.Their is nothing as good as pointing to a child the effects of whatever ill he/she committed and advising on the proper thing to do
Good comment. You just spoke my mind.

Ngwakwe: @Op
How will you like it, if your mother is turned to a property by the gods.

And your daughters kill you as soon as you finish training them to atone for this sin your have committed against humanity by comparing the living with the non living. What a shame.

Sorry to call you a fool. Am writing with a pain in my heart as I just lost my only daughter in a car accident to a careless driver.

Come and take all I have and give me back my daughter. I will be glad to have her and start afresh to labour in life.
Sorry for your loss.I can only imagine

FamilyRe: A Wife Or A Car: Which Is More Expensive To Maintain? by boyendowed(m): 11:57am On Jul 08, 2012
Depends on the wife.If you have a working class wife that earns good pay, then she will be more expensive to maintain than a car but if your wife is a housewife, then she will be more expensive to maintain.

Must suck living in a world where one is not certain if tomorrow will exist. A country of cowards ran by clowns and committees of clowns.
That's the reality of life in Nigeria. How can crimes like these stop when perpetrators are never punished? The people that massacred those youth corpers are still walking around freely

Your tribalism is sickening. It was people like you in Rwanda that massacred 800,000 tutsis.I don't understand why the moderators tolerate a sick mind like you.How do we end tribalism in Nigeria when low lives like you exist?
