Very true about your last statements. My experience with her made me realize that women in general have a way of sensing things even when they are kept from them, unless if they chose not to pay attention. It baffles me how a 23 year old lady that is unemployed, broke, and from a relatively poorer background can chose to enter the mud to support a broken, broke and hopeless guy. She was burrowing credit just to make sure we talk, because she knew I was barely eating. She could have chosen to abandon me for other suitors, but she didn't.

When I recently told her how I battled with suicidal thoughts she was alarmed. She looked at me and said "You would have finished me. Was the car more important than me that you even contemplated taking your life?" I felt so bad that I had to apologize for even thinking of suicide.
Awww..you need to see the way my eyes filled up with tears at these your last lines.
I`m so glad you told her. smiley smiley smiley

Lol @replacement. Dude cannot even afford a trip from Kano to Zuba from his own pocket. He is my senior, hence, I was forced by my parents to allow him drive the vehicle for some days in a week, because he returned from his own NYSC without a dime to his name, despite the fact he served in a place where he earned almost twice as I did. Dude was unemployed, proud and waiting for manner from heaven. That decision by my parents almost got me killed by hopelessness. This is because it took me three years of menial jobs including my NYSC to save enough for the car.

Dude did not even apoligize for what he did talk less of replacement. Everyone was more concerned about the fact that he survived the accident while I was left to drown in sorrow. That was when I knew that my fiancee is indeed the right woman; she stood by me and gave me a reason not to take my own life. She never knew I was suicidal at the time anyway.

Sometimes the shoulders to cry on are not blood relatives.

Well, am trying to put that behind me because I have a future to build. Life does throw some of those hard times at people, how you handle them determines whether you can learn from them or allow them to destroy you.
I`m so sorryr.
I thank God for your this your mindset and for your Fiancee who stood by you.
I feel so angry right now at the attitude of everyone else.
Well, it`s past.

Then, I also think you should let her know the gravity of the state of your mind at that point now.
Why I say this is because it would encourage her to follow her intuition to offer you comfort when she is prompted from within.

Gagare1:
Brother, the transport business is very lucrative if, and only if, you drive your vehicle yourself. I owned a sharan minibus about a year ago, and I can confidently tell you that I made about 10,000 naira daily travelling from Kano to Abuja (Zuba) and back. This figure is after fuel, union, men in black, and meals are accounted for. I placed myself on a daily salary of 3,000 naira while 7,000 was kept for business expansion. I lost the vehicle barely two months after buying it when my brother condemned it in an accident due to recklessness. Transportation is good, lucrative and without chains from bosses if you manage it yourself. But if you get a driver, that person can ruin you completely. I learnt this lesson the hard way. Now am back to square zero (unemployed) because my NYSC savings was what I used to buy the vehicle.
Just like that? Is your brother not planning a replacement?

Typical human behavior... We blame something for our short comings...

He should confess he is addicted to drugs because it is a temporary escape from reality.. And his reality is not what he imagined way back when he was the wiz kid of music...

He needs to accept his present self and he will be free...

I have been in that dark place and I was always blaming my wife... My family and anything.... But I read a book too and I learnt you have to look within to find freedom.
That is where he is at right now, he is not out yet.
You are out
Don`t you think you`re in a better position to show more empathy?
