Romance › Re: I Told My Naija Parents I Don't Want To Get Married And This Was Their Response by Boyooosa(m): 5:20pm On May 26, 2023
siofra:
So, I told my parents I don't want to get married. I do not recommend telling your Nigerian parents you don't want to get married😹

My mom put her hand on her head and looked at me with pity lol. She said I don't have a goal in life, she said I'm empty.

My father was even more dramatic. He started praying o. He told me to kneel down and starting casting and binding all the evil spirits and his village people.

Ngl, it was hilarious. It's not like I don't want to get married though, I just wanted to see their reactions.

But why can't parents accept that not everyone wants to follow the way they did things? That I don't want a husband doesn't mean something is wrong with me and I won't be lonely because I plan on having 29 cats, a dozen goats and scores of chickens.
Truly, you are overdue at age 29

Politics › Re: Keyamo To Buhari: It’s Unconstitutional To Appoint Minister Of State by Boyooosa(m):
Well, he made a valid point and I think he had his shot when he unveiled the fact that ministers of state's office are undermined since they are dwarfed by the ministers' office, majorly during assessment.

Coincidentally, he washed off all his points when he was struggling to explain the constitutional reference that nullifies the existence of the office of the minister of state.

He eventually fell off his feet when he tried to compare it with the office of the Vice President, plying through the senate affirmation and deputy president path; Mr Keyamo, SAN, VP came into the government through election after presidential candidate's nomination and not through appointment by president after election as in the case of a minister.

Mw, senate don't affirm vp's appointment unlike what is obtainable in ministers' case

https://www.nairaland.com/7696874/phones-gadgets-not-allowed-presidential#123266044

Happening live at the Abuja Appeal Court..

Security personnel stood at the entrance, and produced Zip-Lock Bags for the visitors and Lawyers to drop their phones inside, and then, keep these locked bags at the entrance of the court..

The lawyers that were present started arguing seriously at the entrance.

They were like:
“... If Live-Streaming is not in the constitution,, then, does that mean that dropping phones outside before entering are also in the constitution too??
“Let us be doing only the things that are inside the constitution...”

They even started a Mini-protest at the entrance of the court, and were chanting..
“...No Phones,, No Court...”

The lawyers later won the argument, and the ban on phones and gadgets were lifted...

Dear All:

Ekiti State Electricity Board (EKSEB) is one of the agencies under my Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Utilities ,(MIPU) of which I am Special Adviser to the Govermor. EKSEB GM Atere went to Erijiyan to investigate this stone electricity matter earlier today. Here is his report:

Quote

I was personally at Erijiyan today
for on-the-spot assessment and the boy lied about what he posted. He only used lithium batteries joined together with masking tape to produce electricity not from the stone . If the stone is removed the power supply from the batteries will still produce power. The public should disregard this discovery it was a blatant lie and falls short of all principles of electricity generation. Thank you Sirs and Mas.

Unquote

We have our answer then. We thank you for the interest.

Second Tenure

1. By the end of the second tenure, our economy should be competing with the greatest in Africa
2. Drastic improvement in education sector and agriculture
3. Working and corruption free system

What monopoly business! Y’all keep shouting monopoly like Dangote handcuffed other competitors. Rise to the stage of you can compete and stop screaming “MONOPOLY”

Even several companies were issues license to build refineries, only Dangote did, and you still will accuse him of monopoly.

The very few still investing massively in the country, while others are stashing cash in safe havens.
No mind dem, Dem plenty like dat, they are everywhere. Monopoly ko, scrabble ni

Where dem otedola dey, Dem mike adenuga, Dem Sahara oil, Dem master energy, all these guys dat suck Nigeria dry through their scam scheme called oil subsidy.

Where are the funds they drew from the system through subsidy?

Na yatch and babes be their investment, now, look at someone that has never invested in a tank farm much more of importing fuel, he's the only person in the world that has ever owned a private standard refinery in Nigeria....shame on the governments and their goons they shared the fuel subsidy illicit proceeds with

That squad that started today could comfortably finish in the top 4 if they were a regular starting 11.

Thank God Arsenal surrendered themselves yesterday, otherwise maybe today would have been the day Chelsea conceded the highest goal in their history.
The best comment for the best bench, ever grin

already they have warned Peter Obi never to apologize on there behalf again ... when he went to meet soyinka,
A leader that can't control his follower is that one a leader undecided

The only thing they will do is just to continue defending him without any impact whatsoever

If peter obi was a true leader he should be the one guiding & calling his people to order not the other way round, naa leader suppose guide folllowers not the other way , now these people you hope will guide Peter Obi are on sec Antony blinken page insulting and lambasting him for calling Tinubu ... that is there New Nigeria
what i find more disturbing is what some youths went to do on the page of the indian gurl that holds the guiness cooking record, insulting and attacking the innocent lady, another one is how obedient mobbed Apapa in court, if not for security if the old man go die nko .. will Peter Obi pin it on Mc oluomo boyz or blame Apc ? will he be able to move pass that
I'm just wondering what they will do to obi the day his decision or action contradicts their ideology or position....

chidiokay:
NO ! it is not a case of Ka ka ki eku ma fi je sese, not if you've read Apapa speech

Every party had "chairman" dispute at some point, it happened in PDP and APC had feud with Adamu

In APC vs Adamu case the president, buhari stepped in to quench it

In PDP case, Atiku refuse to put the house in order and we saw how it ended

The high court as ordered Abure and others to step down, so it very normal for Apapa to feel entitled since he was chosen now if Peter Obi had a sense of leadership he would have made moves to put there house in order, call both parties and give both sides something to hold on to or offer compensation where the need arise

IF TINUBU was in the same situation as Peter Obi right now will he fold his arms n watch, what did you think he will do ... a guess is allowed
Hmmm....
You have a valid point here and that is the reason tinubu toppled the two of them in the last election.

Atiku couldn't manage ayu vs G5, hence the fall.

Truly, I don't know why obi has refused, reluctant or capable of reconciling the two factions,...and that may lead to the question of, if he couldn't reconcile the party he leads, how does he reconcile hausa, Igbo, Yoruba and other tribes in Nigeria?

You have a point and I suggest the obidients should take bias off their minds and guide obi appropriately...they shouldn't all sleep and face one place

People who have chosen not to recognize you and even relegate you without Power Why should they acknowledge or accept you when they are in Power. To make matter worst Peter Obi even said he does not Know APAPA, if Peter deny Apapa now he will definitely do it again, remember peter snr denied jesus 3times naa there way

There is a yoruba adage that says, what you won't take as a rich man naa from your poor status you go don dey reject am

Peter Obi has a leverage over Apapa already, the best time to get OBI attenton is when OBI is powerless, these period is so crucial to peter Obi and Labour party if Apapa does not cease these opportunity to reclaim his post then it is as good as so pe otilo e don go
Hmmmm...
This so deep...

So, it's now a case of 'ka ka ki EKU ma je sese, a fi se awadanu'....

Instead of losing the battle alone, we all lose it

It is well...this is another version of the story tho, some people claim that he has collected money from tinubu which I think it's a blackmail but as far as I'm concerned, his moves is still being made out of desperation. If you are good, you are good, truth is always one and for that fact, you will always triumph in every battle.

He should allow his goodwill to fight for him from now on instead of getting desperate.

His case now is just like the case of a sane man that suddenly finds himself on a bed in a psychiatric home, you and I know that it takes miracle to survive it.

The first thing the sane man needs to do is to accept that he's insane because the more he drags it, the more the reason he gets to that bed gets obvious...that is the situation at which Apapa finds himself right now!

Firstly, he needs to see himself as a loyal 'floor' member instead of seeing himself as the chairman of the party....let him contribute his quota as a member to their collective victory and go for legal means of restoration at the end with the mindset of if he wins, fine and if he doesn't, he continues with his life or refire.

Fighting a physical battle over intellectual battle will run him down finally with the set of people that constitute the group called Obidients
