The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the Peoples Democratic Party winner in the presidential polls held in Ebonyi State on Saturday. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that All Progressive Congress in the state has , however , rejected the result and vowed to challenge it through appropriate channels. The Presidential Election Collation Officer in the state , Prof . Chukwuemeka Eze , supervised the declaration of the results by INEC ’ s collation officers in the 13 local government areas in the state at the commission ’ s headquarters in Abakaliki . According to the results , as declared , PDP won in 12 LGAs – Afikpo South , Afikpo North , Ivo , Ohaozara , Ebonyi , Ishiellu , Onicha , Ohaukwu , Izzi , Abakaliki , Ezza South and Ezza North , leaving APC with victory in Ikwo . The PDP garnered a total of 258 , 575 votes as against APC ’ s 90 , 726 votes . Reacting to the result , Chairman of APC in the state , Mr Eze Nwachukwu, said that the party rejected it in its entirety and would challenge it appropriately . “ We call for the cancellation of the entire exercise due to acts of intimidation , electoral violence , over -voting, among others, committed by the ruling party in the state. “ The APC agent in my polling unit , for instance , Mr Uche Ubochi , was arrested and detained for 6 hours by the police for frivolous charges orchestrated by the ruling party in the state . “ When he was eventually released after my intervention , the voting process had been manipulated and huge figures allotted to the ruling party , ” he said . He urged INEC to re- conduct the elections as the results did not reflect wishes of the electorate in the state . Chairman of PDP in the state , Mr Onyekachi Nwebonyi , was not available for comments , but the Governor ’ s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Emmanuel Uzor , said that APC should ‘ lick its wounds ’ . “ The entire process was transparent and we highly commend INEC for ensuring that the will of the people prevailed . “ The people showed that they are happy with the transformational strides of the governor and all elected PDP members across the state . “ They would further demonstrate this resolve during the gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections on March 9 and the APC should realise that Ebonyi is for PDP, ” he said . slawomir:Thank God u didn't go as far as saying they are lecturing. Those persons dat are there may probably be doing one thing or the other but not lecturing. Uniben and strike be like bread and butter, even when it was a week 2 finish exam last year, they still joined the strike b4 it was latter called off after some days. To me, the strike shouldn't be called off cos it's the students that will suffer it. The students will b the ones to fund d sch via increased tuition fees. Education In Nigeria isn't education again. I weep 4 this Country. |

IT WAS THEN It was then We pampered fufu Romancing it into a sphere Before sending it on the hollow trip Now, it is laid on the dining At the mercy of cutlery Shredded for no crime It was then Our fathers could walk a million miles Fatigue, not even a trace in them Now, a visit to the next gate We go in wheels It was then Veiling the teen's mammary glands A norm and a show of maturity The youth reeled in years of wait To behold the succulent siblings on the teen's chest Now, the teen's mammary glands, a public spectacle It was then The tears of the cloud was an invite to the teens So innocent, they were Laundering their nascent skin In the chilly drops from the cloud's eyes Now, that act is a lost pin in an ocean For the teens are now slay queens Their faces, wearing coats of many colours It was then The elders' blessings, the actual desideratum for matrimony Now, the elders' blessings, only but a prelude The ceremony at the pulpit, the chief rite A rite guarded by a splurge of naira and time Needless extravagance! It was then Mum and dad, wrappers on their waists When they crawled on the walls of procreation Now, dad in boxers Understandably, a boxing contest with mum It was then Life, a delectable meal Not now It was then Hilary Chika |
IT'S YOU AGAIN It's you again! It was you we saw three years ago You were the preacher of hope It was when you came to rake our votes The votes you could murder to clutch It was, then, that you stood on the platform I could see our resources safely stored in the protruding bank beneath your chest So convincing, were your lies Our appetites, aroused The rhythm of a new life, you recited perfectly Your true intents, we could not unravel As our mentation had been clouded by your mesmerizing lies The drum of election sounded, And our personal interests, we divorced Mothers with malnourished babies, glued to their backs The aged, offering their bald heads to the piercing rays of the sun All determined to staple your butt to the seat you so desired Congratulations! You were victorious! But where did you go? We looked for you But the more we looked for you The less we saw you That was three years ago Now, you have revisited your hunting ground The lion that devoured the elephant Is famished again The elusive ghost has become human Your posters, pined to every wall on the street Like pupa on a green leaf Your posters, leaning on every damaged automobile Like granny on her staff Regalia with your images, hung at all markets Perhaps, depicting the sentence that awaits you Your impoverished forerunners, disseminating your fliers even to the bat begging for alms A manifestation of malady! It's you again! I recognise you! It's you again! Hilary Chika |

Emmagenius:Bro I understand how u feel. I have felt same but u don't have to be blame God coz he knows best for u. I applied for same Economics in Uniben twice (2015 & 2016) after applying for computer sci in Delsu (2014) and I wasn't admitted into any department despite crossing the Benchmark. I decided to go for a course I considered not competitive so I applied to Entrepreneurship not knowing that those that applied to it this year were much because of disappointments from competitive courses. The cutoff was high as a result of this but I am happy I made it with my 59 aggregate score. I know when it's my time no one can stop me and God's plans are always the best for me. God exist the fact that u are praying and things aren't going well doesn't mean u should doubt his existence. U will be admitted but it may likely be a related course. Pls accept any course given to u cos everything that happens, happen for a reason. |
Richdee1:There's nothing wrong with ur combination. ur combination is same as mine and I was admitted yesterday. I also checked for a guy and he was also admitted, we both had an aggregate of 59. Maybe they cut at 58 for a start. keeping hoping, u will b admitted. |
[quote author=BuhariNaWah post=61891567]go and sleep. zenith bank did not steal your money. blame CBN The charge is same for all banks..........52.50 permonth for all debit cards.[/quote learn to interact politely especially with strangers. thanks |
I have been noticing monthly deductions on my Zenith bank account without notice. Sometimes I do receive debit alert stating deduction for MasterCard. Nawa o when was this introduced? even if I don't make a transaction, I will still be debited. I topped my last deposit with additional #70 so that even if there's deduction, there won't b fraction but to my surprise I saw two debit alerts one for SMS charge and the other for MasterCard fee thereby affecting my original balance. What is even the meaning of this deduction? This kind of deduction has not occurred to my account before, so, what is the rationale behind this deductions. Right now, as a customer of zenith bank, I demand explanation as regards this new charges as it is very strange to me.

The few years I have lived on this earth, one thing I have learnt is that *No matter who u are or what u do be it good or bad, people must still criticise u* If I were the minister of Education, I would introduced Business minding as a course. pls let's mind our businesses, there's nothing wrong in that pix. At times people look at men of God as if they aren't humans. Isokay continue. |
