Please can someone make me understand what he meant by " lack of trust for leadership in the country"? I am confused. Was he angry that and complaining because people do not trust him? |

This news is a big scam. They are just waiting to justify the huge sum of money that has been budgeted into this ebola case in PH. Our politicians are not helping us at all. Just recently they said the mortuary attendants that were quarantined are free of ebola yet they still have this large number. Even lagos that is supposed to have a larger number have said they don't cos they know what playing politics with the number of people will do to their economy but since we in PH solely depend on oil money, we don't care about that. And please this isn't about APC or PDP. |
uchedydy: I see you are so vast with the law, do you also know that killing is not murder in some case but manslaughter, considering the circumstance, but in it all someone's life is cut short, but the penalties are way different. That tells u that you dont judge things in isolation. What would have caused their rebellion, has been been attended to, and many more issues therein.I get your point my brother. But Femi Falana cannot always be right but that's not where I am coming from. My point is I think nothing is going to happen, though they may be pardoned but the judgment isn't wrong to my own view anyway and I don't also think that starting another social media thread with a hashtag can do anything. If it hasnt brought back to girls then what will this do? And who knows, the wrong people might hijack it and turn it into a political problem. Anyway sorry if you were offeneded. |
Lol, this thread is one of the funniest I have ever read in recent times, I think it should be moved to jokes section. Now I know that a lot of Nigerians are living under an illusion believing what they do in social media actually matter cos they have MB. Pls note that this is not to insult anyone but to state that these soldiers know the penalty for what they did and yet they did it. It is sheer indiscipline and the height of irresponsibilty. Ask yourselves, if you as an ordinary citizen insults an army GOC in front of his subordinates, will you go free? You will hre things like- bloody civilian yet they know what they signed for. Talking abt soldiers starving in my own opinion, for over 30years now our soldiers have been feeding fat and doing nothing except going for peacekeeping and coming back to be paid huge sums of money. They were trained to withstand these kind of suffering incase need be. They slept in forests as part of their training process and at times are not fed three times daily. So they were prepared for it incase of war amd believe it or not, Nigeria is at war. There is a reason why a soldier can't be tried in our normal court, so whatever they do to themselves is how they seem fit afterall I just read that the GOC has been fired. My opinion anyway |
kel4soft: Which indigenes? PDP was not created with Rivers State. Like as I said, I only seek inputs of Rivers eligible voters or PDP members in my state? .Not one TAN rascal that is from south east and interested in GEJ's job to his state progress.Obviously you don't know me and that's why you went ahead to insult me. Anyway not that it matters. I won't insult you cos I know that a lot of nairalanders are immature and can't do without insulting anyone. You have already chosen a region for me and if after reading what I wrote you still believe I'm not from rivers state then it means you don't know nothing abt the state. Tackle the points I raised and not me. And for your reminder, the COAS is from Opobo and you know what that means. On election day, I bet you won't even go close to a polling boot. |
After reading through this thread, I still didn't see where it was confirmed that the ticket has been given to him. Why are APC members bothered about him being PDP flag bearer? They shld even be happy since they said he will not win. Imagine a political perty where everyone is scared to declare their interest cos the governor will be angry with them yet we have over 15 aspirants already from PDP, that will show you that it is diversified in PDP and everybody has a say. APC in rivers state is owned by one man alone who decides what happens. The question is- why the many confidence in PDP form all these notable men from River state? Why aren't they going to APC to contest? They know the heart of rivers indegenes are in PDP |
The fact that he apologized doesn't change the fact that he still believes they sponsor boko haram and will not vote APC and so do many other nigerians. Its something we have in our subconsciousness. When you finally want to thumbprint, you will find out that it is a hot seat, so the next question you ask yourself is- will my vote make any difference? With that you will vote the person that has the higher chance of winning just to associate yourself with victory and moreover Nigeria isn't one and can't be changed with the kind of politicians we have today. But 2015 will tell. |
Amaechi will never be able to forget this line in his life. Lol |
This govt is funny, I think they have run out of ideas and are just waiting to leave office. Except this directive is for the private schools alone(though in court they will still win the state govt cos it is its responsibilty to provide basic amenities like water for the masses) I think this directive won't stand. Except they want to play politics and indirectly make it look like they don't have pipe borne water cos the FG refused to sign for the world bank loan. I state with full confidence and fact that 80percent of state owned secondary schools in rivers state don't have water at all not to talk of pipe borne water, they don't even have good classrooms. |
Politics in Rivers state! Anyway 2015 will tell. But my problem is that more than half of Nairalanders will not go out to vote that's if they legible to vote. Mbu has left Rivers States yet he is stillbeing talked about, its like a lot of people know, amaechi has so much ego and never likes being beaten and the reason why he is still complaining is that he didn't win Mr. Mbu. 2015 will tell |
I read through this thread more than twice to see if any reason at all no matter how stupid will be given for this panic from the govt but I couldn't find anyone. Amaechi wants to remain in the news and for that he brought up this story. A lot of govnors are having good relationships with d CP in their states but not the case in Rivers because he doesn't have a hand to choose which CP comes to Rivers state or not and that's where his proble is. He always wants to be in charge and make all the decisions and that's why the Rivers State Judiciary workers are still on strike because he has some powers over them. Yet in Delta state the govnor has signed a bill into law to give the judiciary financial autonomy. 2015 is coming and we will see what will happen. Even the APC will soon see that he isn't worth more than the money he is giving to them and will still betray him the way they betrayed Tom Ikimi. |
Though there's no link to this news but if it is true then this just flawed Tinubu's reply. Tinubu was just pouring accusations on the man and he made it look like he was a sore loser but either way I think they know each other more than we do." But my only issue here is where he accused the Lagos state govt of using thesame contractors Abacha used during his regime". Though if the contractors are competent and qualified then its ok but yet hypocritical of them over there. A man once said that the only reason why Abacha appears worse than other rulers is because "he died before covering his tracks and making amends" if not he would probably have been our president by now. |
They just confirmed everybody's fears that this ebola news in PH is blown out of proportion for money and to stop the TAN rally in PH. Though the FG still needs to give them the money as promised but I doubt it will come soon them. How many people did they treat of the ebola disease? Adding everything they claim to have spent and will still spend, it means they have put atleast 500million into this ebola news in PH alone and more will be spent afterall afterall they have the house of assembly at their beck and call to pass whatever bill they want passed. It isn't about APC or PDP here, it is about politicians stealing our money with flimzy excuses. |
Its a pity actually, the man isn't a politician or a contractor. But let's shift from looking at this as political a bit. First of all I am from that region and I know how far some men can go because of land issues or possibly he caught someone trying to steal his meat and it could be his rival. But on a second note, someone just mentioned Fulani and I'm nt trying to sound tribalistic, it has happened before around there and is still happening everywhere in this country. If you are alone and you see a fulani man rearing his cattles around your farm, go back and get more people cos if you confront him alone, they make kill you and run away. Human life doesn't mean anything to them. Just don't let them feel threatened when you are alone. |
With this bashing against SR it shows that people are already getting tired of this online negative report about Nigeria. People no longer see them as being against the president but against the country itself. The problem with APC is that they started this their negative bashing against the president oo early including the formation of the party. I could swear that APC would have won the presidential election hands down as at 5 or 6months ago but right now people are getting tired of these too many negativities about the country. It now sounds ridiculous, as at 6months ago they made it look like Nigeria wouldn't have been in existence by now. I still maintain that these negative threads will end as soon as 2015 elections come and go, they will come back when 2019 approaches. Let's join hands to build this nation even though I know fully well that Nigeria isn't supposed to be a country but what can we do? Even apart from politics, so much negativity in life doesn't make one happy it actually weighs you down. Let's be guided. |
I expected to see this news in nairaland since yesterday or so when it came out. But just to prove that the APC control the media and proapganda, it is just coming now. It won't make so much wave like the Australian negotiator's. If SSS invites Shettima him though he is a governor, the north will cry foul. One of the problem we have in this country is the fact that people like to transfer blames so when you are frustrated perosnally and you get home and find out there is no light, you say our leaders are bad but deep inside its as a result of your frustration. Nierian youths are so myopic and a lot are still illiterates and that's why even those that don't know the intricasies in politics or leadership will still insult people because they have free MB. |
El rufai is no critic. If you call him a critic what will you call Wole Soyinka? And definitely you will agree with me that their form of "criticism" are not thesame. That man is a social media activist and its so because he isn't in govt anymore and seems jobless. A good example is how he felt about Buhari during his time in office and how he feels about him. Creating threads about him is giving him more popularity. |
Truth is, the govt knows how to stop boko haram but its not just straight forward like the movies portray. We have to realise that Nigeria isn't patriotic enough to just do that without some people crying foul. Already the ex-militants are already demanding for extension of their amnesty programme. It all boils down to two things. One, just like every other country, Nigeria is ruled by cabals and u can't just bring them down without a fight and secondly, ethnicity- believe what you may, but Nigeria isn't a country, we are a combination of different people with different ideas and relgions and that's why we can't be one and put national unity in front. In the south, d militants lived among the indegenes and that's why OBJ had to bomb Odi to succeed and therefore killing civilians, that's thesame thing happening with boko boys, they live among the indegenes and the only way to stop them is if the indegenes want to help which boils down to patriotism. |
Thesame Fashola who always seem to have all the details prefers to thread carefully in this one cos he knows that when you are a leader, you see what many others can't see. But yet some people who are blinded by hate and personal frustration will still go against it. In a normal scenario on nairaland, people will not only bash the president but will also bash the person that made the comment. To show that the problem is just hate against the president, nobody will insult fashola for making the comment, they will tactically avoid it. This kind of comment can't come from El Rufai even though he's dreaming cos he's the leader of APC social media activists and propagandists. |
Simple! Buhari is a fulani man while Atiku is hausa(I think). But truth is that it doesn't matter because both of them can't win the presidential election. Though if its just left to two of them, then I think Atiku will do better, afterall he is a Nigerian and Buhari isn't. Buhari is only dwelling on past glory of "incorruptible" |
People will always believe what they want to believe. Who is the current president of South Africa? Where is he sitted in that first picture? Is it possible that he will be sitting behing when GEJ and others are sitting comfortably? I believe this picture isn't a recent picture. But its normal for everyone to conclude cos at the end we see what we want to see. And the OP of this thread will probably be dancing and wondering how stupid some nairalnders are and that's APC's pattern, they know Nigerians are nt enlightened and therefore don't verify any lie they spew but the question that shld be on our lips is this, if GEJ is removed will Nigeria sincerely be better with these people in charge? And the sheriff man jas not been convicted of the crime. Buhari has also been accused of sponsoring boko haram and according to the interview the Opposition is strongly behind boko haram and yet nobody is talking about that. Hypocrites |
Omerelu has long been neglected by the govt, let's hope this will be the beginning of new things there and also pray our youths will not kill themsleves cos of this. Never knew there were omerelu indegenes here. Good to know. |
Where is Sahara Reporters when you need them? |
I ordinarily would not have responded to Tom Ikimi’s lengthy chronicle of falsehoods, cheap blackmail and abuse. My only reason for this response is that I know Tom Ikimi’s style. He subscribes to the view that no matter how unbelievable a lie may sound if you brazenly assert it and repeat it often enough you may persuade many that it is in fact true. - Tinubu This explains APC's modus operandi and I pity Nigerians that believe them |

Tinubu just exposed APC's mode of operation. They tell Nigerians lies and know that Nigerians are foolish enough to believe it. |
If only Nigerians could channel the energy they use to cook up propaganda into more productive things, this country would have been a better place. Anyway I don't blame them, its as a result of unemployment and El Rufai is their leader. All these things will calm down when GEJ wins next year. But I'm afraid we are yet to see or hear the worst from these sponsors of propaganda and violence in this country. Before the election holds next year, something drastic is going to happen again probabaly worse than what we've already seen. |
Read this article and it was very hilarious. I agree with the last point to an extent cos I said it before that man talks before he thinks, he is too childish with his tweets ands comments. But as for the rest of the points I don't agree cos El Rufai was called a commander and not a funder of boko haram. So all he has to do is give orders and moreover he is rich enough, the fact that he is stingy doesn't make him poor. Afterall there is evidence that he collected contracts worth billions from former CBN. But I doubt if he is a sponsor anyway, he is just an opportunist that will soon be thought a lesson about politics. |
These allegations are too childish. Let him speak to NTA and not only the media that are believed to be controlled by the opposition. As a professional investigator or rather negatiator, he is only allowed to disclose such fatcs to the person that hired him. Even if they told him so, now that Ihejirika is out, why hasn't Boko Haram been conquered or did he pass the mantle to the new COAS? What about the aion of funding of boko haram by CBN? Thesame CBN that gave el rufai ccontracts worth billions of naira? This el rufai plays politics with so much bitterness, he only thinks straight just like the boko boys and forgetting that this is politics and not terrorism and he can't mix them both. Let's see what happens to his activism when he is betrayed by his party. |
meforyou1: Opobo is an igbo man from amaigbo in the present imo state. How can they speak igbo till date without being igbos? you are very funny.Don't get me wrong. You might argue that being a descendant of igbo makes you igbo then no problem with your assertions. Now there are stories of the igbos being descendants of the jews in israel, but does it make you an israelite? If so the ikwerres and opobos are israelites and not igbos. What about the case of benin and yorubas? My point is that this argument will continue for ages but an average ikwerre man will know that he descends from igbo or is actually igbo. But let's look beyond trying to own the ikwerres, they feel they are independent enough to be called a tribe, they have their own intellectuals, their own bible and many other things and traditions. We respect our fore fathers but we still deserve to be respected and accepted as a different tribe from the igbos. I served at nsukka and can tell you that ikwerre speak more of igbo than the Nsukka people, so if its about the language then Nsukka isn't igbo too. |
If this news is true, I will like to kno what our "new generation born agains have to say about it. This church believes that if you are a member which automatically makes you a born again, you can't sin and nothing bad can happen to you. They also believe masturbation isn't sin and abortion isn't sin. |
