eye4eye: Foolish Y1bo PDP mouthpiece. You tried to be neutral but you failed. Read the poo you penned again. Stup1d Y1bo go and die if you have problem with Fashola. You son of an animal. Just go and die omo Y1bo.
Thanks. I feel your pain. Hope you are happy now?
PoliticsRe: Watch That Shows Your Death Date Invented [photo] by brainpower(m): 4:59am On Oct 02, 2014
What if someone is supposed to die by accident, will it also tell? I know people that smoke and yet they live very long and going by what they say about a smokers, this watch will predict a shorter lifespan especially if the person doesn't exercise. Buying this watch will mean mortgaging your happiness cos you will always be guided by it. Let them go to refugee camps and see people that look like they won't survive the next day yet they live for many years, I believe their watch will get it wrong there.

I have always said we don't have an opposition in this country, what we have are political haters. I expected this kind of statement sooner from one of them. He is sectionalizing this country, ebola control was the collective effort of both state and FG. Outsiders don't see us as south, west, east or north, they see us as nigeria, they see us as one. And this is why every accolade must go to the FG. We are just playing politics with bitterness in this country, before you know it this ebola will be twisted by the opposition controlled media and Fashola has started it. He knows how much he will lose from internal revenue if he didn't work hard to stop the ebola, if not he would have been ordered by his Godfather not to do anything about the ebola afterall, it was a national epidemic and we know how unpatriotic they are. Starting from forcefully returning non-indegenes to sectionalizing this country by these statements, I think I can safely say that he doesn't believe in one Nigeria and this isn't the kind of people we want in the centre. And I really like this man but see what politics can do.

PoliticsRe: President Shagari Is Overthrown===> Sani Abacha Coup Speech by brainpower(m): 6:25pm On Oct 01, 2014
Sibabasibaba1: Imagine where we would have been today if that despot, Buhari, had not truncated our democracy then. The power drunk fascist took us back a century. This coup 20 months later to give us the unfortunate eight years of IBB, the hellish five years of Abacha, the roguish nine months of Abdulsalam and eventually the 15 years of stagnation with unprecedented looting by politicians across political divides.

Yet some backward thinking nitwits want the vision-less undemocratic Buhari to ruin us again. It's a shame that most of them are youths. Pray! What are Buhari's ideas? What is his vision for Nigeria that we can buy into. In terms of ideas his other corrupt fellow conservatives, Kwakwanso and Atiku, are even ahead of him. And you know why Buhari cannot say anything bad about Atiku? The later was the custom boss at Murtala Mohammed Airport in 1984 during the infamous '52 suit cases' issue. He as every fact and Buhari dares not say nonsense about Atiku. Any wonder he has advised his followers not to insult Atiku?

The most ridiculous thing is that these guys are the so-called progressives. What is progressive about Buhari, Atiku and Kwakwanso?

The man who hates Nigeria the most is the man who calls APC progressives. I am sure Abacha would have been a progressive if he had been alive. Lest I forget, didn't the progressive go cap in hand and 'dobaleed' to Obasanjo to be their NAVIGATOR? Certainly, APC has redefined progressivism.

Yeye de smell.

You have said it all. Do people seriously know the negative effect that coup brought upon us as a country? GMB truncated democracy, no matter how we try to twist it, he would have rejected if he didn't support the coup. And as God would have it, he didn't even enjoy the position cos IBB came and took it away from him. To me he has never been destined to rule this nation. Even if he wins the election, he will have it hotter than GEJ is having it now cos even his fellow northerners will fight him. I pray for the day Nigeria will have an opposition where people can be born into just like they have it in America, political parties with ideologies of their own. But for now, we don't have an opposition. What we have are power hungry politicians. And I pity the youths that follow them.
PoliticsRe: We’ll Keep Catching PDP Moles, Says Lai Mohammed by brainpower(m): 12:59am On Oct 01, 2014
This man is funny. So Atiku isn't a mole? Which means OBJ and tambuwal are moles in PDP? If you keep calling everybody that isn't ready to to be dictated to in APC a mole then it means you will lose more members. Cos there will always be misunderstanding, the best way to show that you are progressives is to iron out your issues rather than pushing out whoever opposes Tinubu and Buhari. No difference btw PDP and APC at all. We do not have an opposition in this country what we have is Association of Political Critics (APC). I pity this nation. Happy independence.

PoliticsRe: Synagogue: We Had Approval To Build12 Floors —joshua’s Aide by brainpower(m): 11:14am On Sep 30, 2014
I believe its been more than two weeks since this incidence happened and the Lagos state govt made the comment of approval, how come it took this long before they made a counter claim about it? I know SCOAN to be quick to responses but in the case of bribery and approval, it took them long. Anyway, I hope there hasn't been any closed door meeting cos it will be very disastrous for this country. Let's see the result of the state govt's investigation. I heard Fashola is the last hope of good governance in Nigeria, he never does anything wrong, hope something meaningful is done. Someone needs to go to jail for this since some people believe that except someone goes to jail, corruption is not being fought.
PoliticsRe: No Reasons To Celebrate 54th Independence Day – Tinubu by brainpower(m): 11:02am On Sep 30, 2014
I hope we all know that after all these unpatriotic statements, GEJ will still win the election? Not cos he is the best but cos it is in the best interest of the nation and he is ready to do anything on earth including rigging to make sure he retains it. After withstanding so much pressure from people he didn't even expect, he will see the election as a compensation for himself. Moreover personally I have not seen any replacement for him too. Obama is classified as one of the worst presidents America has ever had but you can't hear republicans make this kind of statement during their independence. The only thing that will give most of these people joy is just to see that GEJ is no longer in that position no matter how much money they make. They are tired of power from one side of the country, they want central power by all costs. So even the recent victory against boko haram isn't worth celebrating? No Nigerian leader has the interest of the country at heart, its all about themselves.
PoliticsRe: I’m Not Expecting Anything From Govt - Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi by brainpower(m): 4:56am On Sep 30, 2014
His son just told the whole nation that his father is now having amnesia cos he said the govt has been helping him. Who do we believe? He even indirectly shifted the blame of caring for his father to his sisters, something isn't right here. If I am a state governor and I meet the son, just 10minutes of talking with him I will see through him and know he is just being greedy and expecting too much from govt. The reporters didn't notice the man behaving like he isn't right in his senses, yet his son claims so. No wonder govts have not been really bothering about him, it was a competition, he reitred in civil service, he has two houses, his children are being taken care of. That his son must be a smart guy, he must have used his father's name to get a lot of help. Let him go out their and hussle to better the life of his father.

courage54: If those people u mentioned are corrupt as u claim what is stoping ur PDP government from persecuting them? Or are they above the law
That's the same question every intelligent Nigerian should ask. And the answer will make you understand that leadership is more than any social media and foreign movies. Why did the USA pull away from the assist against boko haram? Why do you think that foreign govt in any other country are called diplomats? Too many diplomacy in govt and that's why Buhari can only survive if he is ready to work with those that are in charge of power or he will face the kind of heat GEJ faced. I am not saying he is going to be corrupt or will not do better but not as much as he is being hyped now. Buhari is coming back for revenge against those that removed him before. And moreover you have not answered my question especially about Fela
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Was Jonathan's Re-election Plan All Along by brainpower(m): 1:16pm On Sep 28, 2014
The problem APC has with GEJ is the proverbial "if GEJ walks on water, they will it is because he can't swim" 1. GEJ changed COAS, which means strategies changed. 2. Modu sheriff was in apC till just few months ago. 3. Ihejirika's case is cos he is igbo and they are sympathetic to boko ahram and as such they saw everything he did as genocide cos they feel he was retaliating the civil war. 4. Davis wasn't hired by the FG, he mentioned that aPC are gaining from boko haram through CBN, but that one has been put aside. It is better for your enemies to underestimate you than for them to overestimate you. This is the case of GEJ when he was seen as clueless.
PoliticsRe: The Fear Of Buhari Is The Begining Of Wisdom For Corrupt Politicians. by brainpower(m): 12:49pm On Sep 28, 2014
Let me ask the OP a question. If Buhari is this incorruptible as you say, does it mean that he will prosecute Tinubu, Amaechi, Kwankwaso, Rochas, Oshiomole, El Rufai, OBJ, IBB, Abdusalami etc? Just name them, or are these people not corrupt or thieves? Atleast Tinubu, OBJ and IBB, these ones are confirmed looters. Do you think after he opened his mouth and said he won't forgive OBJ and IBB, that they will be alive and see him rule this country? If the people Buhari jailed were corrupt and thieves then what did "Fela" do to him?
PoliticsRe: My "Miracles" Are Not Fake, TB Joshua Cries Out: Calls For Arrest Of Journalists by brainpower(m): 6:41am On Sep 28, 2014
To reply someone here, he didn't stop ebola victims from coming. The Lagos state govt were the ones that went to meet him to stop him from accepting them since they know that ebola victims might be coming to his church and he has so much crowd. But that being said, I think this matter is a simple one, its been confirmed that the building was initially meant for two storey building only. He added three more without due clearance, this is the basis where I think he should be prosecuted for manslaughter. It is that simple. Whether his miracles are real or fake isn't my business afterall he has never forced anyone to come to his church and he is the biggest philantropist as far as Nigerian pastors are concerned. But for not taking due clearance to add more levels to his building even though he proves that it was an attack on the church, he should still be prosecuted. But cos of the fear of these powerful men of God, nobody can touch him. Its appalling at the rate our so called educated Nigerians worship their fellow men all in the name of men of God. How can you call a man of God "body of Jesus Christ on earth"? Then what are you? Anyway as the saying goes, give a man religion and he will die praying for fish.

In as much as I think the money is high I still believe the motive is right. Though they may need to increase the transport and bicycle allowance in camp. I know the kind of stress I went through during my own registration at the camp and like I gathered, the online registration was contracted to a private firm and so they have to make money. To me the best way would have been for the FG to put this part into budget also to make sure prospective corps members don't spend a dime since this is the main course of the NYSC programme. But it will take a very long process for that to be achieved cos there's this belief by some elites especially the legislators that the NYSC programme is taking up too much money and not yielding the required results. Therefore, in my opinion, the registration is necessary but the fee should be reduced or removed entirely.
PoliticsRe: Fayose Issues A Statement On The Recent Happenings In Ekiti. by brainpower(m): 7:38am On Sep 27, 2014
In as much as I'm not an APC supporter, I still sense that this man is indirectly saying he supports the violence happening in Ekiti right now to extent of thugs assaulting a judge. He should be reminded that this is the kind of statement that Buhari made which is making him appear like he sponsored the riot and killing of people in the north during the last election. Fayose shouldbe careful and understand that the world is getting more civilized and should flow with the trend by condemning violence. Though I still believe he let them do that so he could stall court judgments till he is sworn in, then he can rearrange the judiciary to his favour, for now he doesn't trust them and I can't blame him for not trusting them cos the Godfather in southwest APC is very powerful.moreover the way he sounds he seems to have a vendetta with APC and seem more concerned with bringing them down than working for the people that voted him. ibrahym47: How did OBJ makes sure Atiku can't become Nigerian president? My brother none of these politicians is holier than Atiku. If the power that be rallied around him today,
the rest na story
I guess you are right. I have been saying the same thing cos Nigeria hasn't gotten to the extend of one man one vote. Its the cabals that usually decide who goes or not. Then ask yourself, would the cabals let Buhari lead them? When they know that he may imprison them. That's why I keep begging the youths to thread carefully especially on social media cos they will only be used and dumped. A lot of people that watch foreign movies or see what happens outside in the western countries use that same knowledge to talk here but forgetin that Nigeria is a regional country. If you are really following Nigeria's politics and you live in Nigeria you will know that no south west indegene will contest cos OBJ has done theirs.
PoliticsRe: Election Will Be Tough In 2015, We Want To Take Over – Buhari (see) by brainpower(m): 6:08am On Sep 26, 2014
In the words of APC supporters, in a sane society Buhari would be covering his eyes in shame for truncating a democratically elected govt. So far so good all the aspirants from APC are counting on their support from the North which shows that they are not nationalists and for Atiku who seems to be more popular in the south, OBJ has made sure he can't be the president of Nigeria. The only person that can actually fight the PDP is Fashola but we all know that Nigeria would divide before APC would give him or any other south west person the flag. So all said and done, the APC still has no candidate to fight the PDP. My opinion anyway.
PoliticsRe: Pandemonium In Ekiti High Court As Ayo Fayose Slaps Judge Orders Beating by brainpower(m): 5:10pm On Sep 25, 2014
We believe what we want to believe, its quite unfortunate that even when this man won the election which was acclaimed to be free and fair the so called saviours of Nigeria(APC) have decided to make his tenure hell even before he is sworn in. But until he comes out to deny it which I know he will, I can't believe it. Just like one of you stated, he hasn't been sworn in which means he can still be arrested yet he wasn't arrested. This story smells of lies. But the truth is, just GEJ withstood all the propaganda and pressure that's how he will withstand them too. Some people do not cease to amaze me, just picture Fayose leaving his seat to go all up to the Judge's seat without anyone stopping him and when he got there, he slapped the judge without being held. Common disturbing inside the court when proceedings are on is held as contempt not to talk of assault. Lol, slapping a judge indeed.

PoliticsRe: What Do You Think Is Nigeria's Greatest Problem by brainpower(m): 12:28pm On Sep 25, 2014
Nigeria's greatest problem is ethnicity and religious differences. Nigeria wasn't a christian country and neither did the orignal hausa people practice this kind of islam that was brought into the north by the Fulanis.

Its as if some of us do not want this shekau to die. Anyway, the first shekau is dead, the 2nd shekau is dead and if a third shekau surfaces he will die. I know the media is scared cos they won't have any negative news to spread but they shouldn't worry cos every nation has negative news and so they will still find news. But not boko haram news.
PoliticsRe: Amnesty Report: NHRC Exonerates Nigerian Military Over Extra-judicial Killings by brainpower(m): 7:17am On Sep 25, 2014
This news will be good for some people and bad for some people. But truth is that, there is no way there won't be extra judicial killings in any country that is fighting a war like Nigeria is doing. Even the US does it, there are several instances especially the killing of Gadaffi of Libya. He wasn't armed yet he was killed at first sight. So nobody should expect anything from them and even if they indict the military, nothing is still going to happen. Obasanjo did extra judicial killing at Odi in Bayelsa state and the court has actually told the FG to pay compensation for it yet nothing has happened to Obasanjo cos he did it in the interest of the country as at then to bring peace.
PoliticsRe: 0 by brainpower(m): 7:01am On Sep 25, 2014
I think this guy or girl or whoever it is is taken too seriously here in nairaland. Anyway he has warned of another shekau and I think we should believe him cos the last time the military claimed to have killed shekau, the opposition said it was lie and they went to bring another shelau impersonator. Now that this one is dead, they may rally round to bring another perosn just to make our military look incompetent for their campiagn gains. My opinion anyway.
PoliticsRe: Cameroonians Declares ''the Best Nigerian Is A Dead Nigerian'' by brainpower(m): 6:55am On Sep 25, 2014
I think this writer should have been ignored but just like somebody commented above, it is still the Nigerians who are to blame for this effrontry. We go about digging up dirts about our own country, the only news we enjoy are news of negativities about the country and we post them online just becasue we think its going to hurt one person or the other. I commented sometime ago about the way we youths are portraying the image of our country outside. The Nigerian military claimed to have killed shekau last year but it was we Nigerians that called them liars, especially the opposition and they decided to find a shekau impersonator just to make sure the military doesn't claim victory. I bet this writer doesn't know that we now produce cars in Nigeria and many other things. The only example I will give to him to prove that Nigeria despite its negative news being spread by frustrated people is that you can never find Nigerians being too concerned with any african country's news, whether positive or negative. And the poverty news in Nigeria is higly overrated. UN's definition of poverty is living below 1dollar a day. Yet a lot of Nigerians use android fones and recharge them. Its just misplaced priority and our youths are too lazy.

jude33084: Have you taken your time to look at the bump on his forehead?

That is the self acclaimed Leader we always see on youtube.
I can see it and I am not directly saying it is a lie. But my only point there is that the military didn't confirm it. They strictly warned that if the info doesn't come from these twitter handles or websites that we should disregard. That's just the point I was trying to make.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Army Confirms Shekau Is Dead Boko-Haram Leader by brainpower(m): 7:53pm On Sep 24, 2014
The Nigerian Military haven't comfirmed this news. Go to their website and check or follow them on twitter. It is boldly stated that any news not coming from those twitter handles isn't true. Not that I don't want it to be true anyway but we should try a lil bit to show that most of us are educated and verify some news before praising or condemning.
PoliticsRe: Real Shekau Killed Since June 2013 – FGN Australian Negotiator Stephen Davis by brainpower(m): 2:22pm On Sep 24, 2014
Point of correction, that man isn't a FGN negotiator. The FGN denied him, he confirmed it that they didn't recruit him. If he knew that shekau died since 2013, why didn't he come out to say it or even include it when he was making the other revelations about sponsors of bok haram? We are only taking him serious because he's white and in our small minds, whatever comes from the whites is genuine. Anyway, it is well.
PoliticsRe: “abubakar Shekau” Killed Was One Bashir Mohammed - Sahara Reporters by brainpower(m): 7:31pm On Sep 22, 2014
I think its time we started asking sahara reporters how they get their news. Its as if they hvae sources everywhere about boko haram even in the president's bedroom. If they really have such sources I think it will go a long way if they releaved these sources cos they seem to be the ones giving boko haram info about our military too. So I think it will be patriotic of them to reveal these people rather than hidng them to male money and have more followers while the country is burning. Makes me wonder if they don't actually have a connection to boko haram.
PoliticsRe: President Jonathan Lacks The Experience To Lead Nigeria- Atiku Abubakar by brainpower(m): 4:05am On Sep 20, 2014
This insecurity that the opposition keeps using as a yardstick to judge this govt is becoming to much and when they are accused of using the insecurity in some part of the country to their own advantage or that they sponsor, they get angry. Its as if they don't really sympathize with Nigerians on this problem. But that's me thinking aloud so please I wouldn't like to be insulted. Concerning the experienced issue, GEJ as a former dep gov, gov, VP and now president for 5years now is more experienced than any other aspirant among them. So if its in the area of experience, then he will win them hands down.
PoliticsRe: 2015 Election: Will There Be Presidential Debate? by brainpower(m): 3:43am On Sep 20, 2014
I agree that there should be a debate cos in a working democracy the debate is a very important part of the election campaigns but ours isn't a working democracy. In the anambra debate, one of the candidates had to go over to another's position to borrow a particular document and they all laughed about it. Nigerian elections are played and won by cabals and so debate or not they will still not value it. The debate will only serve as an amusement for those of us on social media, abusing ourselves here while they do whatever they want. Those expecting the president to flop should think again, cos so far that man has held more media chats than any other president, when he talks a lot of open minded people will see reasons cos he will come prepared. Others may have better theories of how to fix Nigeria but truth is almost every Nigerian knows that all our politicians are thesame and therefore will have good theories. Let me borrow from Arsene wenger's lines- "so many people are tactical experts, yet they hv never managed one game". Bottomline, debate is good but can't determine who wins or not.
