gj22:Well i have a crystal ball called hindsight ![]() |
Rorachy:Why can't she? Kill cersei i mean? |
Yonce:I mean the act of taking depends on the taker and the takee we already know who the taker is, with a takee like Danny, erm, you just gotta ask nicely you know ![]() So like i said, there's the small matter of who exactly you're taking from ![]() |
Rorachy:almost as related as i want to be with you darling ![]() |
Yonce:Yes he was all goody goody two shoes until he crowned lyanna stark queen of love and beauty at harrenhal in the presence of all the gentry of the realm irrespective of whose ox was gored and all that followed as they say is history on Ned's POV, aren't we saying the same thing?Barristen selmy was kings guard, of course he would murder a suckling infant on rhaegar's orders and rationalize it as being necessary for the realm, his oath commands that of him i.e see no evil! Unlike Jamie who saw and recognized the evil for what it was and coped by daydreaming about screwing cersei until he did something about it and in the process broke his oath and yet people call him a bad guy! purrrrlleeeeeeaaazzzz selmy saw no evil while the red keep itself was sh**t deep in it! And don't tell me he knew rhaegar did it for an altruistic purpose! Ser Arthur dayne was rhaegars confidant, not him. |
Yonce:Ned doesn't speak about rhaegar simple! He didn't not say Ill about him, he just had his doubts about whether he was all evil with no redeeming qualities as Robert painted him, this is the same Ned who while in the dungeon in kingslanding was busy humanizing cersei lannister the architect of his woes rationalizing that she did what she had to do as a mother and wouldn't really fault her! Simply put, it was in neds nature to see some good in people, the only person who spoke about him from a knowledgeable position was ser barristen selmy, and we both know what his opinion was worth in this case. |
Yonce:there's the small matter of who you take it from ![]() |
JhyMedex:I see your point |
Yonce:Finally you get the question, it is not on a real greyjoy to ask for what they want, it is their creed to take whatever they want! Euron asking is him just playing to cersei's gallery. Cersei knows this too and that is why she is keeping ser strong closer than ever ![]() |
Yonce:you don't seem to understand the question |
Coyotejack:it is a TV fact that the magic of the faceless men is more than just glamor(red priestess) and will pass serious magical scrutiny because it allows you actually become the person whose face you're wearing with their memories intact and that's why they're called faceless because they lack an identity of their own |
Yonce:no not really, who has the power when you hand over the launch codes and nuclear football of a nuclear arsenal to a supposed ally? You or the ally? |
Gbola5:A garrison wiped out by cersei? Not properly manned and whose defenders would have fled at the sight of a thousand ships flying the three headed dragon on their sail |
kay9:I wouldn't underestimate baelish either, but unless you can tell me baelish's affections for cathelyn stark were false, you can't honestly rule out his having transferred his affections to sansa which wouldn't stop him from using her as a stepping stone to achieve his ultimate aim which is the iron throne! The question is, is sansa aware what his real desire is? I think yes, with him having admitted this to her on more than one occasion which is an unusual thing to do for baelish, so sansa abdicating the throne in winterfell in favor of Jon was no mistake rather a strategic move to keep him at bay and give her time to come to grips with the game of thrones and the fact that she was also a player. Baelish still staying at winterfell means Jon's life is in danger and sansa knows this too even if Jon isn't aware, sansa intends to protect Jon even without his permission and entrap baelish! My personal musings though |
Gbola5:You'll notice that it was only the Frey males of the age of combat duty that were invited to the feast where she killed them implying that she had a partiality for those she believed were implicated as active murderers at the red wedding! Also, the magic of the faceless men of bravos which came into play here implies that in wearing walder Frey's face, she had access to his thoughts and memories too so she knew who to kill to send winters message to house Frey so yes, mass killing is allowed |
TheKingIsHere:Battles are not always about numbers, they are more about strategy or tactics, Jon is all heart and no brain. They stood a fair chance of winning, he made the decision to save his brother with his heart, if he had used his head he would had admitted the truth that sansa the one you called useless told him which is whether victorious or not, rickon as a trueborn son of Ned and catelyn stark, would never be allowed to live beyond that day by Ramsey Bolton! And you congratulate him for being willing to die forgetting that his ragtag Arny was built around him with no secondary commander that commands the respect of the different constituents of the army so simply put, he dies, they die without putting much of a fight! In fact, most of his men died in that battle because of his stupidity! They left a solid defensive position to come save him thereby committing into an attack in which they were grossly outnumbered! Playing into Ramsey's hand allowing him to execute his plans where all he needed to do was sacrifice only his Calvary alongside almost the entirety of Jon's army while mopping any remnants and stragglers with his infantry in a circumvalliation! And you are here praising Jon! Who had to be saved by sansa who brought the vale knights. When Jamie was captured, did you see tywin flying with his army to go rescue him? Instead he retired to a strong defensive position in harrenhall. Now that is a leader who used his head |
JhyMedex:And why shouldn't arya smile after the genocide? Imagine watching your loved ones murdered before you as a kid and memorizing and reciting their names nightly in hope of retribution and finally getting the retribution, i will even have an orchestra performing to the beat of their diminishing heartbeats if it were me! so me, I think the smile is in order |
Yonce:Tell us something we haven't read of before from the rose flavored honey colored do no harm, see no evil perspective of see barristen selmy ![]() |
armadeo:presssssssss plaaaaaaaaaaay ![]() You're on a loooooooooooooooooong thang ![]() |
TheKingIsHere:he rules with his heart and follows the code of honor as a stark, this only works in an ideal world where all men are honorable! A good leader like tywin will rather not fight a battle he can't win e.g against Robb preferring to form alliances and slay him and his army at a wedding. My point is the goodness of a leader is judged by results |
TheKingIsHere:I just log in dey play catch up no vex abeg, na back back i been dey I don dey near front sha ![]() |
TheKingIsHere:piece the puzzle together then you'll get my point |
Yonce:emphasis on "mad" before he turned mad he was an ambitious king with a penchant for extravagant goodwill projects to capture the imagination of his subjects, they weren't feasible anyway ![]() |
Akanniade:the best is yet to come and reading eurons winds of winter snippets doesn't help too just modify your expectations! It will be extremely hard to bring his book personality to life ![]() |
Yonce:oh really? so you've met him? What was he like? |
Gbola5:Thank goodness someone else gets it! |
Coyotejack:wrong! |
TheKingIsHere:Write the exam and get okondo over 100 first ![]() |
Yonce:lost and adrift means a connection was broken and where a connection was broken, there once existed a connection and the connection that existed was the connection of a warg so simply put, all stark brats are wargs! That they didn't know enough to recognize this ability of theirs for what it was and put it down to it being a "natural or mystical" connection to the spirit of the siegil of their house doesn't mean that north of the wall, those to whom the old superstitions and ways aren't just fairy tales won't recognize them for what they were! Those like varymir sixskins. Only two or maybe three families were of current date possessing the dormant ability to warg in westeros south of the wall, the starks and the targaeryans and maybe the reeds of blackwater watch, one produced the three eyed raven and another the blood raven. That is enough circumstantial evidence |
Gbola5:two words "love" and "family" |

on Ned's POV, aren't we saying the same thing?
