LG G3 lags and gets jerky on overheating, which it does a lot, period. Case closed. |
refreshrate:Don't lie, bruv. G3 UI lags more than it should because of the power tripping QHD res. The S801 chipsets, though powerful, alas, weren't strong enough to facilitate a smooth seamless performance. GSMARENA said something of similar nature in one of their reviews of LG G3 last year. |
Lies and counter lies, punch and counter punch, childish drivels and counter childish drivels... what a zoo! ![]() |
Both are learners... buy Dstv or better yet, save your money for something better. |
kazzonline:True that. |
donhils:Lolz... you got jokes bruv. G3's QHD resolution on an LCD based display without a QHD video file to back up it's superiority is like owning a white elephant. A GS5 FHD display that is of OLED in built, is superior in practicality, and gives off a more vivid colors with deeper and darker reds and blacks than the G3's. Any person that knows a bit about screen res will confirm what I just postulated. Anyhoo... to get your MX player to play subtitles automatically, download ES file explorer if you don't have it, and edit the name of any subtitle to match that of the video file in question. Eg, Winter's Bone_Hdtv_lol.mp4, the subtitle Or google and download an app called Subloader pro (there's a free version on Playstore). |
donhils:Throw away that ihot note joor and get yourself a better smartphone to able to see the difference, or better still, go see an Ophthalmologist... your poor eyesight might need some fixing. |
donhils:I don't believe in senseless argument when I can simply prove my point. Now take a look at the screenshots below. 1. I played a scene from Quantico S01E01 on two media players on my GS5 simultaneously. Notice the blurry video quality of the one on the left compared to the sharp res of the one on the right? I downloaded the one on the left from o2tvseries btw. 2. Solo played the video by the left: Result? Lots of noise can be seen on the image, thus, giving off a low res kind of quality... in other words, blurry. 3. Solo played the video by the right: Result? Sharp and somewhat crystal clear image completely devoid of noise. Side Note The low res video file of o2tvseries is 75mb in size, while the other one is only 218mb in size. So as you can see for yourselves, size does indeed truly matter.
|
donhils:Anyone that considers low res video files hosted by o2tvseries as high quality must either have a fvcked up vision or a crappy phone display. I strongly urge you to take a strong look at your mirror, sir. |
donhils:Don't need to sir. Super Amoled display on a GS5 is as good as it gets. |
Hotdiamond:Exactly. |
kazzonline:The so-called HQ mp4 video files on Mobiletvshows are nearly as bad as those found on o2tvseries. An MP4 file of 360p is okay to be enjoyed on a low-end smartphone, but on an high-end counterpart or bigger screen of a lappy, something of much higher resolution is ideal. |
darkenedrebel:Obviously, you don't know the real definition of Clarity, unless you're one of those that watch videos on small screens with low PPI. |
darkenedrebel:Do people actually watch those blurred things on o2tvseries?? |
maxdozie:The usual way... sub for Mtn bblited, create an access point and input '127.0.0.1' in the proxy address space, port must be '8080' of course. In APN, simply type 'etisalat' in lower case. Then open the simple server, go to settings: at the proxy host, input '10.199.212.2, proxy port, input '8080, then tick 'Enable Proxy'. Scroll down to injection settings, then at the injection method options, choose 'Get', at the Injection Query, input 'http://blackberry.com', at the Injection host, input 'web.blackberry.com, at the Injection line, simply click on the enter key 4 times, then click on 'Enable Injection' Scroll down to Advance settings, and set the 'Buffer Size' to 8092, then under Concurrent connection, input 10, and finally choose 'Debug' under Log level. Connect and you're good to go. |
Double post. |
johnyumez:For something I bought for 95k, my asking price of 80k is more than fair. Remember, this is G900f model, not the cheaper international model (G900H) without LTE support, download booster and 32gb rom. |
johnyumez:It's in mint condition, running lollipop 5.0, 32gb rom, LTE support, and a UK variant (G900f).
|
Saving up for a Galaxy Note 5... Presently using an S5 though, fully modded and running on Lollipop 5.0, still in mint condition, any interested buyer should quote me, price is 80k, non-negiotiable. |
skywolf66:How's your budget? |
That name tho... Pussyfap. Pusssy: can be used to denote a Cat, a cowardly person or a female gen!talia. Fap: A slang word describing the art of Masturbation. |
Homguy:I had to laugh at the bold. Samsung does not put much stock on exterior beauty, especially on their flagships, cuz, to the Korean Electronics giant, practically, durability and continuity were the most important factors to building an ideal smartphone. When a device comes equipped with superior screen resolution, top of the line screen protector, superior chipsets, fascinating processing speed, great gpu, memory card slot expandable to 128gb, Internal rom of 32gb and more, dust and water resistant (GS5), quick charging capability, and loads of other features, then exterior beauty becomes irrelevant/obsolete. If you value beauty above all, then better stick to HTC, Xiaomi, and Sony, but don't expect those brands to best Samsung flagships on performance alone talk more of durability. Come to think of it, whom in their right minds would pay half a mind to an irrelevant issue like chrome-peeling, when both the smartphone's hardware and software operate like a million bucks. In my experience It's only newbies (amateurs) and women that buy smartphones based on beauty alone. Homguy:Like I said earlier, if you're a visual person, then, you would be best served sticking with Sony and HTC... but wait oh, weren't you kinda contradictory... and maybe a tad confused? Those aforementioned brands' flagships can only outshone an S4 and S5 only and ONLY IF their respective displays were in standby or off mode. Fully activated, with their displays on full effect, Samsung's former flagship duo will arguably take HTC (M7 & M8) and Sony (Z1 and Z2) to the cleaners, visually. Nothing beats a Super Amoled FHD Display on a 5.1 inch screen in a darkened room. Who buys a phone just to admire it's exterior without taking the most important factor - the screen resolution - into account? Most certainly not a purist. Homguy:You forgot to mention the finger print scanner... and yeah, I use most of them on daily basis. Upon activation of Smart pause, you can pause a video by simply looking away, or by placing your palm on top of the display or better still, turning the device over to rest on it's posterior. Your display will consistently stay on as long as you're eyeballing it with Smart stay. You can capture a screenshot by swiping your palm from side to side across the display with Screen Capture, etc. Practicality?? Hell yeah! Nothing beats a Samsung premium smartphone when it comes to pure unadulterated performance. Side note: Before I go to sleep, I habitually check my heart rate for the day, then save the result to compare to the next day's. I use Air browse only if I want to show off, usually when I'm in a public transportation. |
Homguy:Have you seen the S6 Edge? |
johnyumez:Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, Stock Browser, UC Browser, CM browser, Playstore, Musixmatch, Google drive, Samsung Apps... the only apps that don't work are Operamini, YouTube and Tubemate. An alternative to autoproxy is Droid proxy btw. |
Life After You - Daughtry. |
johnyumez:The G4's display is basically like it's predecessor, the G3: the same LCD type QHD display and the same PPI. |
johnyumez:Auto proxy doesn't work on Lollipop bro, fortunately though, I don't need it cuz Simple Server powers most of my apps without any proxy help whatsoever. |
Hotdiamond:Newer HTC flagships like M8 and M9 are somewhere North of 70k (costlier). You can get a uk used HTC M8 for 60k in Computer village though. |
zleemshaddy:Samsung Push service (used to crash all the time till I googled and downloaded a version optimized for Android L, Watchseries apk (incessant crashing since I upgraded to Lollipop, Androvid pro (Sometimes crash in the middle of a video editing, Auto proxy lite (doesn't crash but doesn't work either), SCR Screen Recorder pro (incessant crashing upon activation). All used to work seamlessly during my Kitkat days, but since the upgrade, it's crash galore more or less. |
Smartphones with premium features that one can get under the 70k price range are as follows: -Samsung Galaxy S4 -Samsung Galaxy Note 2 -HTC One (M7) -LG G2 -Sony Xperia Z1 -Elephone p7000 -Elephone P8000 -Ulephone Be Touch -Xiaomi Redmi Note -Jiayu S3 -UMI Iron -Tecno Phantom 5 |
This phone will make a solid toy phone for my 5 year old niece. Ready to part with it for 2k? |
