perryy:Thank you bro. I keep telling folks (Donhills et al) that G3 only has better resolution than the S5 in theory, not in practise. I remembered saying something of similar nature to yours to someone once - that the QHD resolution is useless for now as 98% videos we have today were/are been shot in 720i and 1080i color formats respectively. When it comes to connectivity, you were quite right again, the downloading speed on my S5 is something to behold.

ritababe:Damn straight. Superior processors and GPU matters much more than a mere dazzling exterior - Snapdragon and Samsung-made Exynos chipset floors their Mediatek competition any day... but I guess a non-tech savvy Nigerian lady wouldn't understand such. |
No smartphone made by Infinix Mobility is in the high end category, so don't expect a CHEAP mid-ranger to have real high end features like gorilla glass etal - some Smartphone manufacturers like Infinix mobility & Gionee would claim their smartphones do but it's rarely ever the case in practice. As for REAL high enders outfitted with gorilla glass 3 and 4, most often than not, their screens are difficult to break. I have a GS5, which has taken a tumble on numerous occasions with nary a scratch. |
Don't count your chicks before they hatch, kiddo. |
Hardware keys rock. Way less intrusive than the soft-key counterpart. One of the reasons I'll always pick Samsung smartphones over any other brand is because of the unique hard-key layout, which is present even on their tabs. |
Konami finally got it right. Since I don't have any brand loyalty to begin with, switching fully to PES 16 has never been easier. |
Craven:Not a fan of powerbanks myself. Many people don't know this, but ferrying powerbanks around (most especially the chunky type) or holding it in close proximity to one's anatomy poses a lot of health risk to the user. I'd rather own a device with more than average battery life optimization than have one that spend more time on powerbanks than off 'em. |
Craven:Like I said earlier, his battery would perform admirably in a device without a power gulping QHD screen resolution of LCD extraction. GS6 has a battery capacity of just 2500mAh but had the advantage of having an Amoled screen technology that doesn't task on the battery life like any it's counterparts (Triluminious, Retina, and Super LCD). |
donhils:The problem isn't with the battery (3000mAh should be mighty powerful on the right device) but rather with your phone's power hungry Quad HD display. The S801 chipset can't do sh*t when a PPI so thick and dense and of LCD in origin tries to hijack everything. Little wonder the UI tends to lag more often than what could be considered as normal. Anyhoo, any battery with a capacity that exceeds 2500mAh is generally considered a powerful battery. |
Craven:It's all about the chip, yeah, but when a device is powered by low-end s410 chipset, then there is no hope for any credible optimization.. the battery life would hence become deplorable to say the least. |
donhils:Any battery below 2500mAh 'MUST' be considered poor. |
GS5 stock browser.

The A5 reminds me of Infinix Zero: pretty and visually stunning on the outside, but lacking exponentially on the inside. Poor battery life, poor processing speed, mediocre processor and archaic gpu. If you're an hardcore mobile gamer, you would be better served by staying away. |
ShaheedBinAliyu:Nope, they ain't. It's not that simple. Lollipop is heavier and more complex than Kitkat. Sometimes an app that would normally run on Kitkat will invariably crash on Lollipop because of the later's permission policies and other stuff I wouldn't go into right now. |
tayo52:Download CPU-Z from playstore. |
Gejpresident:You're obviously a learner. Samsung personally tweak the stock browsers on their premium devices to outperform Google chrome and other 3rd party competitions. The fastest android web browser right now is GS6' stock browser, followed closely by Puffin browser. Ever heard of it? Super swift. Not very far behind are GS5 stock browser, CM browser, Lightening browser, and UC browser respectively, then... Google Chrome. |
My GS5 stock browser for surfing. Noticeably load webpages faster than Chrome. CM browser for downloads. |
Galaxy S5 on lollipop 5.0. Pros: -Quick charging (add a percentage every minute on airplane mode) -Availability of 4 differing screen display. (All guaranteed to give the user a sharp well pixeled resolution experience) -Doesn't overheat. -Powerful processor that is designed for battery life optimization -Excellent Gpu designed for hard multitasking and gaming. -Multi-Window feature whereby the user can do 2 separate things simultaneously on one display -Removable battery -Greyscale mode that extends battery life to a whole day without charging (depends on the user anyway) -Loads of features, etc. Cons: -External Speaker sound could be better |
koice:Netflix is the future. I love their style. |
Etinosajay:A Used Verizon, Vodafone, T-Mobile, AT&T model should be cheaper cuz unlike the G900f, G900W8, G900S, G900I, and G900H, they were network locked. To use them with any service provider in Nigeria, you'd have to unlock 'em first. |
Etinosajay:The F indicates it's for Europe. The international model is G900H. The European version however is the better model. |
Etinosajay:An original uk used GS5 G900f price range is between 60-65k anywhere in Nigeria, same as Galaxy Note 3. An original uk used HTC M8 price range is between 55k-60k anywhere in Nigeria, same as LG G3 2gb ram variant. |
Phens:Not in a retail shop, nope. |
Phens:There is no such like a Uk used infinix smartphone as infinix range of phones are only available to African and Asian Markets. |
Not even one funny joke.. Geez ![]() |
samsonkjohn:95% of USB cables are made in China (copper and silver plated both). |
Na now you dey know? Ss powers all my apps alone (Samsung apps, stock browser, UC, CM, Whatsapp, Facebook, etc) without any help from autoproxy, and its just as well... autoproxy is not compatible with my Lollipop OS. |
tobbiiqq:Doesn't have a notification light at the front. The UI looks alien (the time should be at the top right not centre) and too much space between the screen and the fingerprint sensor/home key. Pure clone. |
