Nothing is impossible for God, but we the children/servants of God need the necessary faith to make it happen. Every miracle done among men is based on our faith to release the ever present power of God. Do we have the necessary faith to move every mountain? Growing back an amputated limb is less in might to raising the dead. That's my immediate understanding and contribution to the question. |
Saraben: I don't bliv this. y should everything b based on politics..Just to support the OP: 2014 Prophecy: some parts where released during the last night 31/12/2013 service by Prophet T. B. Joshua. He read it twice on Emmanuel TV to avoid being misquoted. He said 2014 is a year of crossing bridge. To cross the bridge you need to grab onto faith. Faith in God, your destiny. The way of the Lord. He said many mighty will fall who believe it is their making to be great without going with God. Many people who were not known will rise in destiny. Just continue in the way of the Lord, he advised. He mentioned there would be challenges in Airline business especially in Africa. The demand would be more than supply, thus increase in ticket and 40% would be grounded. On Nigerian politics: PDP will pay a heavy price to unite. On many key leaders of the political parties going down, he further explained 'go down' to also mean: 'may not be able to function'. Many corrupt leaders will go down in 2014 in Nigeria. My dear Nairalanders, honestly let's go beyond doubting to seeing what good we can make from these. This is the year of crossing bridge; the year of destiny. Let's make it happen. Peace..... |
Happy New Year to all Nairalanders! Let's all cross the bridge together to greatness. |
Jacksol thanks for your post, and you have made me comment thrice on a thread. I understand your view and is well noted. Honestly, if we have this kind of level playing and tolerant views here, we can actually proffer solutions to fix our challenges. But you and I know that intolerance is high. I just viewed the Wole Soyinka daughter's death thread and was shocked by the horrible comments. I traced it to grudges people had when both GEJ and Madam Patience lost their relatives and the resultant harsh comments. I didn't support Soyinka's one-on-one with Madam Patience, but the present harsh comments on his late daughter by some contributors are also harsh. Abi na Moses law we they use here? Just know one thing, the same man of God (Prophet T.B. Joshua) people may harshly criticise could be the life saver of many others. So in our individual disagreements, we must have a common agreement to progress. Just imagine, if all the big ministries (churches) come together in the name of Jesus Christ(for Christians) and pray and work together for this country rather than fighting each other. Just imagine..... Peace. |
Abel202, with this kind of your perspective on this thread, honestly we need more of you on Nairaland. We severally complain of our leaders, yet we exhibit even worse attitudes here. Simply because we do not believe in what others believe and what works for them, we just go ahead and condemn beyond measure. Well, if you know how well people's lives have changed for good through Prophet T.B. Joshua and his ministry, you probably wouldn't be attacking him (not that the criticisms have any effect anyway). Some people, however, could be hell-bent on sticking to their old stand even with overwhelming evidence to the contrary. There is so much intolerance in us, yet we all cry and want to move forward. It never occurred to critics of Prophet T.B. Joshua that rather than diminish, the church population is ever growing and bringing more revenue and employment to Lagos State/Nigeria and changing our bad image outside the country. Honestly, if we are tolerant, more responsible and fair citizens, but differ in belief with the Prophet, we could at least acknowledge his contributions to society. Helping the needy, developing a football team that brought out some Nigeria's best at the national level, massive scholarships to many students home and abroad (even in your schools, up to PhD levels), sponsoring and improving the lives of our Paralympic sportsmen and women, creating an outlet with an arm of UN for employment and scholarships (just ask), attracting foreign heads of states (about 9) and other top guys (even world wrestlers WWA), thus helping to change our bad 419 image abroad, etc. The point here is that we complain bitterly about our situation, yet we do not encourage ourselves, we just keep attacking and destroying our own that outsiders cherish. So, fellow Nairalanders, tell me how we can grow in Nigeria? Peace: seeing the other side, the other view.... ![]() |
Everyone can vent their anger or disagreement as much as they want, it's ok, but @ Dave50 at a point one gets pissed off by the politicians antics. Certainly we can do without corruption , we don't want it, however, a pattern I see on these politicians is that they only come out to the public when they have their selfish interest against the norms. They shouldn't play with our intelligence because it is usually when they are nearing their end or have other selfish interests that they open their mouth to the public. I don't value that kind of exposure because it will give them popularity that will move them to new positions to continue bigger corrupt practices. In the process they cause more harm than good to the country. Look at my State, all in disarray and just remember that barely 2years ago the feuding parties were all seen smiling together during campaign and sharing money because there was common interest to win elections. Now the same people have different interests and we see madness and different exposures to the public. Honestly, apart from our knowledge, has these exposures actually brought real good? Maybe, but I'm not certain. The same politicians are still around, whether in new guise or name. We need people who are sincere and aim really to make changes that will move this nation and not only make them when they have other personal interests. |
Sanusi's deliberately exposed letter may be true, but it's equally disturbing that such a high and sensitive position is occupied by a man that can bend because he is 'blackmailed' to change figures hastily. Having exposed such level of corruption, he should just have stuck to his position. Hastily changing his position after deliberately leaking the letter brings his reputation to question. One question though: Are all these deliberate exposes really aimed at the betterment of Nigeria, or are they because of different political, religious and ethnic interests? I ask this question because, though we the public like exposes of this nature, I still see that all these guys exposing the different information have different levels of corruption in their field and constituencies , as well as very personal interests. I'm all for these exposes if they are for the good of the country, but against it if they're aimed at heating up the polity to gain sympathy for politician's selfish interest. |
The First Family pictures are really nice. The first thought that came to me was 'nice pics'. Of course, I also expected a follow-up condemnation from guys in any form, a recurring norm on Nairaland. I wasn't disappointed. ![]() Enjoy the season guys, and do spend less time online. Mingling more with real people can reduce pent-up emotions and make us laugh more. |
This 'Sources' must be a very close confidant following the 1st Lady. An indication of the security condition in the country, and a call to improve on security. Presido, do something. S@NNiE: |
SHAAWA and pickabeau1 thanks immensely for your so mature, candid, educative and level contributions. I don't see curses, unnecessary hate, venom or insults here, just people expressing their sincere opinion, no matter how differing! Thank you so much. I think Nairaland needs more of your likes to balance what is churned out of Nairaland. |
Let's all be the change we seek rather than word-attacking politicians or others. An insightful talk from Amaechi, but let's all walk the talk rather than just talking it. Amaechi should probably go further and state that he has stolen too but declare that he will never steal again and also state the remedial actions to take to correct the errors, then do them. On that bedrock, he should then call on others to follow his footstep. We as Nigerians should then give maximum practical support to make others do same. This is one way to become the change we seek. |
Wow! Guys are just supporting brutality and almost death to an individual just doing his job. At the same time when police and politicians do the same, the same guys here come out blazing attack on the police and politicians. Interesting |
@ verajite thanks for the fun, showing us all that the news was just for laughs. Though sha some Gs don fire shots already. Lol |
Many guys complain of no jobs and stagnation in the economy, but right here many display poor skills of appreciation and getting more from a customer. A simple marketing, PR or front desk skill would be to appreciate or credit efforts to get best response. Rather than being flat conclusive and condemn the soft spoken leader, shouldn't we as individuals or groups give credit to the President in order to encourage him and get something better. I mean lets all actually be responsible and contribute, rather than shutting the door and just pouring out negatives. I mean we are all educated here, so lets be the change we seek for us all. |
A great light has ascended. The Inspiration lives on- Nelson Mandela. |
bebe2: Why are they not here now criticising dis cow for all this waste of public funds and disruption to life of other citizens. NONSENSE!!!Small small oh, lady. This kind fire and brimstone curse to an elder person ![]() |
Izusco: He wants to sack ministers with governorship ambition while HE has another PRESIDENTIAL AMBITION come 2015.The post didn't say the relieve of duty is to punish them oh. Some were even begged to wait a bit before resigning to pursue their ambition. |
Very funny, but you can work it through too . I did one with one Eloquent Touch and a lot of these played out, but in a good way. Its funny how true. ![]() |
moodswing: NIGERIA MENTALITY: Anyone in government is a thief and against the popular will of the people.Funny. Na so we see am. |
Ok, we'll try to make some funny comments @ the Top to encourage the OP ![]() |
Bpriest: You made some good points. But your question is hummmmmYou just said the key words. @ mizzocho.cinco: strong character Relationship is two ways. If you feel you aren't getting any benefits from a relationship, quitting is a good option. It's so easy people ranting the perfections they aren't online. |
Every discussion on politics goes down below-belt to become ethnic related with abuses and curses. You see it gives one little choices. The activities at the airport wouldn't have been different if it were a northern president. Its a normal occurrence in Naija. If the burial of the president's late in-law brought goodies to PHC, like roads construction and completion, then it's a good thing. Who cares what brought it about, if it's done. That Mr Aboki and others leave the north to regularly visit the south, and running away from Boko Haram that they support is a good thing. Welcome! But we have our rules here on air safety and giving respect to our rulers whether we like and support them or not. We can't overnight become US or UK standard, but encourage everyone to contribute. What have you done to advance the country? Crying or spewing bile from now till midnight doesn't change that, or anything at that. Haven't you learnt? |
Abel202: [b]TB Joshua MinistriesYou know, upon the Prophet even cautioning against being misquoted, people still do that. That itself is a confirmation . Even when it is easy to see the actual prophecies on live TV and the official website, people just ignore and follow the twisted one. Yeah, so the old ways of attack can just continue. Now it's clearer, the goal is not to report correctly or know the real thing, just provide an avenue to keep hating Prophet T.B. Joshua. |
Red_Card: yeah! Clap for yourself......TB Joshua's spokes person (don't care about the grammer), you're on his payroll and that's final. Let him start giving positive prophesies or even find ways to sieze the negative ones he gives...after then, we can stop hating like you said. And yes, he predicts only after the events had occured. FACT!Sorry lad if my comment unnerves you. Don't worry about your grammar, I'm not bothered. One love Being a T.B. Joshua's spokes person is a job many unemployed Nigerian youths are clamouring for. Do you want it? |
There is one thing that needs to be cleared. It's not Prophet T.B. Joshua that comes to Nairaland to post these news. Many times the information is twisted or presented wrongly, but people still just react anyway. For news on prophecies, if we are to be objective, let there be a quote verbatim so that people can comment appropriately. People also wrongly say these prophecies come out after the incidents have occurred. That's not true. The prophecies are made only in live church services via Emmanuel TV- no other outlet but this. If you watch Emmanuel TV on the free channel, you'll have a first hand source of the prophecies, not a belated and distorted presentation here. Even though such a prophecy was given, the context is not well captured here, and in prophecies such omission can distort the meaning significantly. It seems necessary to make this clarification here because of those who may have genuine concerns, not for the haters, because the haters will continue hating even if everything is 100% confirmed. You know what I'm saying... |
delishpot: Why do they have to record deliverances? Is the church a circus? To tell the world that what? See this woman had witchcraft and our product cured her so come one come all and grab yours. It makes no sense. I blame those who go there sha knowing that your problem will be broadcast to the world if their juju catch you.@ delishpot: Your question appears sincere. One thing is that it's not only deliverances that are recorded: healings, prayers, testimony et c. Originally keeping records was to show the reality of the events during testimonies of healing, deliverance et c. There has been so much accusation of false testimony and stage managing events. Prophet T.B. Joshua has been so attacked that he has taken a default status of defence and prove rather than attack. Keeping video records and live service are some of the ways to achieve this, to prove during the eventual testimonies that the activities started somewhere and came to fruition. It's to make the critics swallow their criticism and encourage sincere people seek genuine help from God. What happens in the church is all-inclusive and picked on camera. It didn't start today. Honestly, many people believed God through these videos. It's not always embarrassing or to be seen in that light. It's like embarrassing the devil rather than the person. You know, like: devil you are hereby publicly disgraced and defeated, therefore, you are powerless, pack your load and go. It's not and shouldn't be a secret. Are we hiding the devil? We should expose him! The challenge is that many people see the physical person as being the attention rather than the demon. It's the demon that is being tormented and cast out. The man of God alluded that Obasanjo and his government's ban on showing miracles on TV was targeted at him then, hence the launching of EmmanuelTV, the official TV of SCOAN. Just like in this case, people still say the healing, deliverances et c. are fake and stage-managed. It gives little choice than to continue proving, as the critics actually encourage it and give the publicity a tempo. One last thing, follow-up prayers can be offered by the Man of God and the prayer warriors for maintaining the healing and ensure total freedom from the ailment. |
The truth is always bitter they say. Okey Bakassi has just spoken wisely like a man who knows and brave to talk about it, just as brave as Jim Iyke. What people don't know is that the deliverance being televised is not unique to Jim Iyke but a standard occurrence at the Synagogue for years. Nothing happens without being aired live in church. In fact, what happened is a weekly occurrence there. If people had been watching EmmanuelTV, they would have known better. The noise is just because many people 'love-hate' Jim Iyke and he's very popular. If he were not popular would all this noise have been? So what about many others over the years happening weekly at the church. Please do not condemn what you don't know, it could backfire. Tomorrow may be your day. It is better you solve your multiple problems than involve yourself so much in another person's life. We are tired of your emotional ranting on the blogs. |
You can attack this man as much as you like, but Jim Iyke is headstrong. He's no weakling, and its only the person who experiences it that knows. Pray for your own, people. Let the guy be, jare. Big up Jim Iyke! |
I've mentioned it sometime here that Hon Patrick O. is a clown in elevated proportions, he entertains and makes people laugh. What else really? But now I think he's going for the full monty himself. So Hon Patrick and Afrocandy, really what do you think? They both need deliverance, right? Look well people, you'll agree with me. ![]() |
If I assume a typical Nigerian's mind-set of stereotyping, I would've said looking at the two pictures of Dencia above, no wonder, why won't she say what she did about T.B. Joshua and the church, because she looks like those agents that transmit all these marine and other demons possessing people and giving them problems. But never mind, her time has not come. When it does, she'll change her story. So she's ok normally. |
emeogbo: pls i first of all want to say that jim took a very brave and bold step. Its not every body that can do that. But what did not impress me at all is his tweet. He went there for worldly and financial success and not his eternal life. Casting out a demon is not the first step to heaven, accepting Jesus christ of Nazareth is. If the demon comes back its coming seven more wicked demonsThat's the point people need to note. When you are rescued from your enemy, you just don't go sitting lame. You arm yourself well and be ready to kick the crap outta that enemy if he/she comes again to your territory. After deliverance and blessing, we have to maintain it by reinforcing ourselves. Keep close to God. You just don't get delivered and you think its a right to go doing free will evil, you'll be repossessed. You can't blame God or the pastor then. If you get employed, you have to work hard to maintain that employment or you get sacked. |
