bros that cover design is a big wahala. I just shut down my pc now after converting my already made cover to pdf,then I tried to upload it. The thing just dey load without result. I tired O.... Pls how did you solve the problem.

I downloaded a template from the link I posted above and then opened it in my fireworks and used it to design mine, as in i now changed everything there. Then I went to smallpdf.com and convereted that designed cover to pdf and submitted to createspace

Just fill the blank spaces, its usually 6x9. Ignore the ISBN aspect. Createspace will give you free ISBN. Then download it, it should give you a size that you should then edit in an editor. That was wat I used to learn their cover size and specs

@bros1234, is create space the same as registering and uploading on kdp? I'm working on photos and pls where is the best place to market that? I have 3 different photobooks,each with minimum of 50 pictures. I've done the conversion to Ms word. And waiting for the procedure to upload on amazon or kdp. Pls help me

1. Createspace is same as registering with KDP. They are the paperback version of Amazon.

2. I dont have knowledge with photobook but i think they should be same.

I found a way to get rid of that 30%. I called them and got my EIN and have supplied it to amazon. I cannot afford to lose 30% in this recession.

But it's actually easy...Just go to www.google.com/adwords

Note that activation means adding a payment method, that is how Google will charge you if you run an ad

Today, I was able to get my EIN - Employer Identification Number.

This number will help you remove the 30% withholding fee on amazon.

What happens is that if you make $100, Amazon will withold $30 (that's 30%) for tax.

Now imagine making $1,000. And amazon keeps $300. Thats a lot of money. The only way to scrap this is to get an EIN and re-update your tax information. Today, I called IRS and got this EIN.

We're moving forward.

I suggest you can research and write on topics in the following niches....Productivity, Teenagers, Children, finance (security), Prayer. There are many actually.

That small book is ranked 15,000 in paid category and is by a felow Nigerian. That book sells no less than 5 daily. I wont go into details, but you should get an idea of what to write about once you browse a little on amazon site and check out other books that are selling.

CAVEAT: That book is not mine. But it has shown me area I will write about soon. For now my books are ranked around 50,000...80,000, 100,000 in paid category.

I now understand the graph...it goes up on days of transaction and comes down to zero if no transaction is recorded on a particular day.

The cover is great. But I think that top purple color does not fit the flower. Try change it to something else that rhyme with the flowers and lets see how it looks.

Bro, you have a very good book. But I dont know why its not selling. some days are like that. I know one book that I took a lot of pain to write and it ended up as 200 page book. Guess what. No one is buying it. since I released it, it has not sold a copy. But I didnt give up. Now I sell at least 3-5 books daily, many times I sell up to 10. but the barest minimum is 3. so go ahead and write more.

My advise is that you should go ahead and write more books. I would recommend the non fiction niche. Any book that solves people's problems are okay

This is a tough question. I'm sure no one will reveal this. Maybe you should start with what area you are good at. Find books selling well in that area and then write similar books with different titles and different pen names. But if you email me I could show you one of my books in a pen name.

Not sure what u mean by that u registered on the 9th. Your report shows whats happening day by day. If it shows, no sales, then no sales. And yes, those oyibo people do return books. Usually u will see the sale but there will be no money credited to you. If you go to month to date reports, u will see the details. This month so far I have sold 101 books in the US market with 5 returns. Why those oyibos return books is what i dont know. Something they can even read few pages before buying.

Dont give up Write more books on different subjects until u get whats selling. I have 18 books so far. some are not selling at all. but the ones that are selling encourage me

What you saw was what exactly happened.
My story, after a week of publishing my book at $3 ...I haven't had any sales at all. Even the bleep I saw on the graph before the release date just went up and came back to zero. Meaning the person returned the book. So no sales and no money.

OK now I have changed my pricing from 70% royalty to 35% royalty today... Just to see if the 65% will be attractive to Amazon to showcase my book more... I'm still watching events. I'm working on createspace now.

I didn't want to rush into createspace since because I was still proof reading for minor errors and ommisions and I'm glad I didn't rush to creatspace.

I even did a paid promotion on Amazon... That only brought about 6 clicks costing me $0.90 dollars before I terminated the promotion.

So far no sales and I don't know what I'm doing wrongly.

Bro. dont be discouraged. Go ahead and write more books. I dont do fiction. I write mainly on my passion. So far, I make 2 sales a day. In fact sometimes I sell more. Yesterday I sold 19, two days ago, i sold 15, today-6, several other days, 2, 3, 7, etc. So I just tell myself that I sell two books a day. In fact my books rank 1, 15, etc, in their categories. What i dont understand is how 700 people downloaded one of my books in one day and i didnt sell up to 100 books that day.

Remember we are in this for the cash, so maybe you should consider doing non fiction

Omo, I just cant still figure out what happened on Sunday. I put out one of my books for free on Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, it had 24 downloads. then on sunday, 675 downloads. I'm still trying to understand what happened. If anyone has had such experiece, pls tell us what happened.

The easiest way to get your money is payoneer. The will give u a USA bank acct which u will submit in amazon. Thats what i'm talking about.
