Pls @mk82 and others. I would like to draw your attention to something going on. While I have been following this thread, ya all aware that Iopened another thread also to keep track of my my publishing and provide updates, so that I dont clog this thread which has gone into it's 3rd year.

At the 9th page of the thread, someone bumps in and says that people should beware of dealing with the OP, that his real name is Jude Ibro and that he is a scammer. His exact post in the quoted below:

I want to use this opportunity to inform and warn anyone who does business with Jude Ibro nairaland moniker bros1234 and bros12345 that s/he does so at her/his own risk.

This is because I have very strong reason with evidence - which I will make available shortly - that he is a scammer! He uses gentle words and evidence from his kindle sales to bamboozle and sway you to part with your cash for services he will never render.

Like I said, to be forewarned is to be forearmed.

I was confused for the following reasons.


1. Yes, the above usernames bros1234 and bros12345 are my monikers..(that's the monikers the complainant stated scammed him)

2. My full names are not Jude Ibro (that is the name the complainant stated scammed him)

3. I have never received money from any Nairalander in the form of payment for service or product.

4. Since I started that thread, I have only offered free advice and never asked for monetary compensation.

5. Right now, I am as confused as everyone regarding this accusation, but I'm also glad it's coming out. I want to know what's happening. Just so we can set the record straight.

Just like I stated in that thread:


I want anyone with any kind of details to come forward.

My name is not Jude Ibro. That's for real.

I'll provide my real name and link to my amazon books, payments, payoneer, all. I'll provide login details to trusted investigators willing to take this matter up.

People can also come to my office for confirmation.

Something fishy is going on and I don't know it unless I know details. My office is at Ikeja, 6 Alen Avenue.

Please who is coming and when are û coming.

Is it possible that someone hijacks another person's moniker on Nairaland and use it to sell something or solicit for funds.

Oh ok. I met my clients on Freelancer. Very demanding work with deadlines and set premise to follow. You are given a brief storyline to expand into minimum of 30k words. Turnaround 3-4 weeks. Freelancer has great options so definitely start from there.

1. God is on our side. It is moving gradually. Though I would have wanted it faster than this, but we manage to pull five to 10 sales daily. See pic below.

2. You have to fill the tax information to be able to publish books. It's not difficult to fill. Just fill that you are not a US citizen and select the right options. Thats all.

3. Pls finish this book and write and upload more books. The premium is on more books you have.

At least I can now do other things and work on Amazon gradually since it will bring in small change monthly on autopilot henceforth. At least 5 sales drop in every day. So I have to do other stuff. Waiting.

lol,. I don't sell that much,. I have only two books and i sell about 300-350 books per month. My kenp is around 700-1300. Some authors do sell 5000 books per day though and kenp of around 300k daily, we will reach their level one day,. The key is to write a best seller and stuff it with ads, promos, mailing list etc. If truly the glitch has not reached your side then count yourself among the lucky few. I know they are working on it though.

I am praying and believing God and working towards beeing able to sell 100 books a day, that's like 3,000 books a month. I know it's tall, but as I get better, both at marketing and at content, I know I will reach there...hopefully in 2 years time.

And by the way, you are doing very well. 300 books with only two titles. I hope I could learn from you. I believe that if you have more books, you'll get past 1,000/month easily.

Amazon still controls 60% of the book market (ebook and paperback joined). I guess there's nothing much some of us can do, judging that Amazon makes it very easy for us to get started. Though I haven't been observant to notice this but I guess We'll just keep following until they can resolve whatever issue they have, cos, I don't make that much sales like you do (I manage to sell 150-200 books only)

No advertising yet. I will buy ads and create a blog around my niche but that is a plan for next year. I just write and upload. That's all.

Pls know that I have some books that have not sold even 1 since 2 months. I have some that manage 2 sale a month, I also have some that sale at least 2 daily. I guess I just kept writing and editing and uploading. I believe if I was waiting for my first four books to make sales before continuing to write, I would have been discouraged.

Those figures look inspiring. With 20 books out it's good to see that readers are interested enough to buy copies daily. That Createspace... Will jump on it soon.

My strengths lie with KENP reads which will average 25,000 pages read in October. I'm picturing what it will look like if I had 20 or even 10 books on sale... Whew. Got to get to work work work work.

I ignored adding up the other ones and also counted the pounds as dollars, so that I don't exaggerate anything. So add the createspace earning and KDP earning, you'll get my calculation for Oct.



LESSONS

I have now proved that this works. It's now time to scale up into other niches. I have also improved my writing speed and skills so much that I can now write 5-6000 words per day.

If you are still sitting on the fence, come on and give this business a chance. My major reason for considering this business model is that you can keep earning from these books for life. No more work on your part. Isnt that great?

I hope I have motivated someone. I don't know if I will share further earning proof. I may or may not.

The USA bank account provided by Payoneer works for all marketplaces no matter the currency. Each country's earning will be converted to dollars and paid to you. Sometimes there could be delays in payment but it is always sorted out within a few days. This month, I'm still waiting for payment from Australia and some European countries.

I got to slightly increase my price for my new book and for subsequent Titles I will go higher while also improving quality and substance.

I now correctly check my sales records using the custom settings. I soon realized my sales weren't as bad as they looked in general. Thanks for your pointers which really helped.

Ignore the bank option for now and start uploading your books. Later you can apply for Payoneer and use the US Bank info that Payoneer gives

Nice to hear that you just published.

1. Please keep writing and publishing.

2. You can only offer free promo, where people can download your book for free....but you must enrol the book in KDP Select. If you did not enrol it while publishing it, you can still enrol it. It's after that you can promote it for free. There are other promo options where you pay and amazon promotes the book, but the book must have had its price unchanged for like 3 months or so (can't remember) before you can use that option.

I'm having issues understanding this "royalty earned" stuff. Sometimes it will be a certain amount and then later it will reduce. For example in the section where it says "royalty earned" I noted it could be like $9.00 then the next day up to $10 but then suddenly it will go down to around $6.00 and now even $5.00.

Who understands what is going on? How can royalties be reducing even when you see you are making everyday unit sales? I realky don't get it.

Nothing is going on sis.

1. Check to be sure there are no returns.

2. If there are no returns, then check the date and refresh. Most likely when you enter a new date frame it will reduce, but the money is still there. You can select date range to view and you can see that your money is there
