I know. What you said is not the reality though about NIU. I20 processing may take up to 21days but that's not the actual time it takes most times. I have processed i20 for my friend there and it took just 10days.
OK.
The default mail the international office sends is I20 takes up to 3 weeks . Hence the need for the information I shared with the person I mentioned.

Mine took 3 weeks tho

Good Day everyone! I need someone to reply me on this. I already asked in other threads I feel it's related to my topic but I'm yet to get a response that's why I'm bringing it here.

There's this American woman (First Class citizen) I've known for years now. It never occurred to me to discuss traveling with her since I was still in school all those years and doing well plus things was still better off in Nig a little.
fast-forward to now that I'm done with nysc plus finding job been difficult, the current situation of the country and so on. I then informed of my plans to come over to the US to work since I don't have enough funds to go via student route.
She suggested she is going to get me a nanny job (ps I'm a guy) reason been that that's the best way to get me in. she said she's going to convince a rich American Family to sponsor me on work visa etc.
After she told me all this I came online to verify but I didn't see any thing of such kind of visa (nanny work visa) so I need you all to help me shed light to this. Thank you all
What Visa Category did she say a Nanny job falls under? The only option for you here in Nigeria is visiting Visa.

I have schools in the West with full GA for data analytics, although competitive as most funding. You just have to search and contact schools until you get what you want!
I know UT Dallas gives 50% Tuition waiver and that was the best available .

Kindly mention the schools in the West that give full GA for Data Analytics let's peruse.

You are still concluding based on what you have personally seen, based on the schools you applied to. Maybe. To get funding, apply and get the admission and push for the funding. Not every funding comes automatically. The programs you listed have nothing to do with determining GA, GTA. If you apply to schools with need for graduate assistants for administrative works, teaching, and other on-campus activies, GA will still be offered. What you don't know, you don't know.
You are just repeating what I have said in another way.
Anyone can get funding offer by pushing .

I made my points clear. If one is in dire need of funding those courses will not bring answers to their quest.

Mathematics and Chemistry are the highest funded course in the US.
Yes because of a very high research activity.
Government and agencies put in huge sum unlike others.

No. That is not true. You could still get scholarship to study them. More so, Funding is not always about research activities on a program and the funds available to conduct them. GA means Graduate Assistantship (including GTA (Graduate Teaching Assistantship), which means it is not offered based on your program, but availability of position for a graduate assistants or for the duties therein.

If the department the programs you listed below need Graduate Assistants, or Graduate Teaching Assistants, GA or GTA will be offered to students--irrespective of the program. There are students going for these programs with GA and GTA. The same reason is why we have MBA students with full GA. Do you understand?
No doubt non research inclined courses get funds.

But you see those 3 courses I listed, my brother no funds. The best you can get is partial tuition waiver.

And how do you guys get this info cause I have checked online, no clue on how to get full or partial fundings.
Communication .. Information

I was in touch with the grad cord of a the schools I applied to. Even if few did not respond, most of them did. They advised me on the best time to submit my application for funding and also had great rapport.

If you want funding for fall 20 , start asking questions and carrying out your research now!

BTW , I heard the US government reduced her funds allocated to schools this year. Schools struggled to fund students this year compared to last year and the previous.
So fall 20 need be on their toes on choice of schools and choice of courses. Making very apt informed decisions will be key for funds.

You are Looking for funds and you apply for Masters degree in cybersecurity? No school funds that.
So information is key!

Some people sha!
I know someone that has 5 admits with full funding and has gotten Visa approved but is still yet to decline the remaining 4 funding offer.
Thus, leaving the destinies of 4 people hanging grin

Pls make your funding decisions on time so that the funds can be given to others that are placed on wait.

Don't be stingy sad

Hello everyone, I have a few questions that I need clarification on. Is it possible for my husband and child to accompany me on a study visa?
Also is anyone applying for an mph degree that got a gre waiver?
Its not possible .
But nothing is impossible.
So I would say it is not realistic.
Your child can accompany you but not your husband.

What will he be doing there?
Why is he following you since you will be back to Nigeria after your degree?
Who will fend for you guys over there?
What does your Husband do currently to earn a living and why would he quit to follow you?

So you see?

good day house..please anybody, am already having bsc physics, now i have been admitted into tamuc to study masters in physics.
my question now is that am i the only person on this table, or can somebody refer me to see like a past visa interview trasncript that was approved on this or related? please house so i can start my prparation from there..because from what i have been reading, i havnt come across this my case..thanks as i await your reply..GOd bless
There is no specific transcript for MSC in Physics if you ask me.
Infact everyone must have a unique transcript.

So once you get an understanding of how the VO asks questions and the manner you should respond, you must create your own unique transcript.

and one more question please,my husband works here and intends to only visit while im schooling and has a running b1/b2 visa to expire january 2020 do you think i should apply an f2 visa for him while applying for my f1? or should he just keep renewing his b1/b2 visa whenever it expires? please help a sister
You don't need to apply for F2 since his visa is still active and it is not even advisable to apply for Visa for your husband on F1 Visa. There is a high likelihood of getting a denial.

Hello House,
Its been awhile, after 5yrs of waiting am ready to re-fire my gun. Got denied twice even with schlarship 2013 & 2014, was going for undergraduate. Now I have my Bsc in Agriculture 2017, age 32. Please house, Which is visible to refire and go for 2nd Bsc in health or kukuma jejely go for my Masters direct.huh House plz help to reason am ooo......thx, God bless nairaland,God bless this room.....!!
At age 32, no VO will approve your Visa for Bsc. That's not realistic.
MSC or PhD is what's expected of you at this stage.

You should be very prepared on your course of study, and choice of school plus how it aligns with your aspirations back here in Nigeria.

I respect your Tenacity.

Most of

Almost all of my colleagues get their MBA from this institution and they are all back to Nigeria to get promoted to a managerial level. in this field, MBA has more relevance than MSC, alot of guys here has MSC but they are not being considered for managerial position. The company believe they MBA is an executive-level business course designed for people with executive or management level experience and that the degrees are designed to develop leadership skills and offer professionals the opportunity to formally recognise their business expertise hence it create a significant room for growth in this organisation.

I will appreciate every replies I got from this...kindly help

Hello house, I just gained admission into Lincoln university in MBA in Human resources management my background is engineering, and I was employed as a graduate trainee into one of the multinationals and later employed fully into the organisation. presently working in one of the multinational companies in Nigeria as human resources executive for two years now..I wrote GRE. Now I am preparing for my visa interview in a month's time. Please house how can I ace the interview and convince the VO since my background is in engineering when I'm being asked these two questions " why Lincoln university?, and why am i leaving engineering to human resources management?@theamerican and other gurus in the house pls help.
Why Lincoln University? First of all.. Which of the Lincoln Universities are you referring to?
From the way you sound, I can guess you have well over 2 years work experience in HR management. That's good enough to justify your cause if you ask me. My concern is the MBA program you chose. Why not masters program?

What's playing down here is not making informed decisions during application.

You should weigh your profile critically to know schools that's ambitious and safe.
It is always wise to apply to at least 2 safe schools that'll give admit and full funding .
