bushdoc9919: A message and some homework for the two of you.
Go home and imagine...suppose GEJ or GMB lose in March?
Does that mean that all hope is lost for you? (Am sure both of you are already thinking about oil money loss, and job connection things! Lost...lost...lost!).
No.
A loss for the condidates you support means only one thing....go home, vote for the right people in the state, LG and National Assembly. Next, get them to work hard for you. Get the national assembly to pass fair laws...and see that the country is run well...so that people won't find extremist ideas right. (Oh...and remember the funding for the Police too. Funding for the police seems to have been better during Shagari's time).
Get your governors to build roads, schools, healthcare centers(does not have to be a big 500bed hospital), housing, and invest heavily in technical education. Get your governors to fight corruption(one reason why Ribadu failed was because we left him to fight corruption alone...and it was a big job for him...and he failed).Get your governors to plan well, especially things like land issues. Get them to be proactive in ending inter tribal fighting. Get them to promote the development of your states economy so that oga governor will be able to say that the state no longer depends on Abuja oil. Get them to invest in large scale farming. Get them....in short...to work for you.
Stop looking at Abuja. Because...the fact that both of you are behaving like big sulks(and talking about secession like it is a walk in the park...when history teaches us that it is always bound to end in war....yes Eritrea split peacefully from Ethiopia...only to fight a war over a few measly villages 7 years later....and they are still at war) is testament to your political laziness. Both of you do not want a better Nigeria, or even a better North or South or region. You both want to chop oil money all day long. Better stop it. We are not a rich nation....and we all are going to work for our money over the next few years. So....stop bothering about Abuja. Whoever wins....it is up to you to work for the govt you want.
If you feel angry....I am not apologising. I want Nigerians to realise that life does not start and end in Abuja...and that you people are not paying attention to how you can make your area better. And war talk always ends badly. I am a doctor....and I want to spend the rest of my life treating people with malaria, heart disease, lung disease, etc...not war casualties or malnutrition.So....you Nigerians better man up. ...yawns... Bro you don chop so? |

nagoma: Brothel upbringing is good for you. Now you can get a job in the only factories GEJ regime created in you enclave - baby factories. GEJ does not deserve a vote from any serious Nigerian. Alright, better than IED and bomb factory, how about we not exporting destitute amputated by some blood thirsty religion leaders to the north. Remember GEJ is not responsible for the poverty in your region, but your leaders who under the guise of religion deny you of education and basic amenities so they can have robots and almajiris to be shouting Sai Buhari, Sai kwakwaso. |

But I am also not able to accept the picture painted of Tinubu as someone without a single redeeming feature. Whenever the APC describes President Goodluck Jonathan as clueless, I have often disagreed. It is not true that Jonathan has done nothing for Nigeria. He may not have known how to present his achievements or his negatives may, by today’s reckoning, dwarf his positives; there is, however, no denying the fact that he has won plaudits in certain areas – agriculture, for example; affirmative action for women is another. How about his making our elections more credible? With OBJ, we would have known by now who would ‘win’ next month’s elections! When tempers calm and politics recedes, Jonathan will be accorded his rightful place in history. The bold and colored part my favorite. It baffles me how some APC sycophant will throw caution to the wind and hail Obasanjo for his fooolish criticism, one even said OBJ did very well during his regime because he brought GSM to nigeria, i laugh in swahil |

judiciarypalava: APC's major selling point is Buhari as a person and his record as a military head of state, which is captioned to be a DICTATORSHIP era. For a man that was in charge for just a year plus to have such a career killing past is not just worth having as a formidable change agent. APC as the strongest opposition party made a very bad choice in the person of Buhari. PDP under GEJ, though have not done marvellously well but is on the transformation process. We all know that building is a process and must be followed, even if the opposition party takes over. But Nigeria is just filled with wicked, unpatriotic and self-centered politicians that would not want continuity wether in the interest of the masses or not. So long as you are from the opposition camp, all your programmes l'll be terminated once the incumbent or his candidate loses election.

barcanista: This election postponement is most embarrassing and a testament that Preofessor Attahiru Jega is an incompetent and clueless dude just like the President. This is the first time since we returned to democracy that the INEC Boss will openly take orders from the NSA, the Military and members of pro-PDP as regards election scheduling and rescheduling. Since when has the Military activities determines elections scheduling? The Electoral Act and the Constitution did not say NSA, Military and INEC should determine election date. Even if there is crises in a part of the country, Section 26(1) of the Electoral Act 2010 (amended) permit INEC to hold election in the peaceful area and reschedule for the trouble zone at a convenient date. Why can't Jega invoke this section and exclude Gombe, Borno, Adamawa and Yobe from Feb 14 and Feb 28 poll until March 28 and Aprill 11 respectively? Since when do we need the Military for election? What is the Statutory duties of the Police, the NSCDC, and by extension the DSS with respect to internal security? If personnels are not enough then why not bring in other paramilitary to assist? Must it be the Military? Was the Military used in 2003, 2007 and 2011 election? Militarisation started from Edo 2012,then Ondo(2012), Anambra(2011), Osun and Ekiti(2014) Gubernatorial contests. When did the Military become statutory responsible for internal security? The letter of the Chief of Defense State that was communicated to Jega through NSA Sambo Dasuki is treachery and unfortunate. Jega's announcement yesternight only confirmed that he doesn't know what he is doing. This is a shame, our democracy has been raped. Stop talking rubbish to sound intelligent my friend, those countries telling you only police should be used for election are advanced countries with high tech. to protect the votes of the people, CCTV alone can secure a polling unit without having police there, also you don't have violent and desperate politicians who are ready to do anything to win votes, this is what you should be looking at and not blabbing and ranting about constitution, who doesn't know the military are not supposed to be deployed for internal security, but a situation where you have thugs that have little or no respect for police what choice do you have? Those 2003, 2007 you referring our votes was never counted, i can recall on several elections in edo state, we leave our house to polling unit not to vote but to watch how PDP and ANPP thugs will come snatch ballot box and rig elections, i know of someone who was given police uniform just to disguise as a security agent and today he has a federal job as result of that, i also remember one election someone came and shoot sporadically into crowd and drove off without confrontation, this was the case of 2003, 2007 but today our votes are counting and electorates are no longer afraid to go out for fear of being intimidated during election, so take your nonsense rant else where, you cry militarization, in all of those election starting from edo, to ekiti, ondo etc PDP has won just one with apc having two, the once conducted by APC in their state was neither free nor fair e.g ( Edo and Kano ) house of assembly and LG elections. So stop ranting, we know what the constitution says, we need to crawl before we start running |
