Dress For SuccessDress For Success Mon, 23 May 2022 ‘Clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ.’‘Clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ.’ Romans 13:14 Since first impressions are important, we’re encouraged to ‘dress for success’. But as a redeemed child of God, your first concern shouldn’t be how you look to others, but to God. Just like a mirror reflects your physical appearance so that you can make adjustments, the Bible reveals your spiritual condition and tells you what to do about it. James writes: ‘Anyone who listens to the Word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.’ (James 1:23–25 NIV) You must spend time each day in the Scriptures; otherwise, you will run around spiritually bare. Paul writes, ‘Clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.’ (Romans 13:14 NIV) As Chuck Swindoll observes: ‘The number one enemy of change is the hard-core, self-satisfied sin nature within you. Like a spoiled child, it has been gratified and indulged for years, so it will not give up without a violent temper tantrum… The flesh dies a slow, bitter, bloody death—kicking and struggling all the way down.’ Lasting change takes place in first gear, not overdrive. So expect occasional setbacks, and don’t let them derail you. When you feel like throwing in the towel, get down on your knees and ask God to help you get back on track. He will do it. REVD DR UMA UKPAI ON HOW GOD HEALED HIS SON BORN CRIPPLE AFTER A NURSE INSULTED HIM My first son was born cripple. Everyone mocked me, and I laughed. Why? They did not know every problem has a time limit. The day my wife gave birth to our second child, her nurse asked me, “That your son, is he still cripple?” I said, “Yes, Madam”. And she said, “You are the biggest idiot in Nigeria. If God heals, why can’t He start from your house?” I said, “Madam, having turned your mouth into a basket mouth, he will start now.” “Father what do I do?” God said, “Move from song to song; raise a song unto me. I will take over your struggle from you.” As I was singing, the boy fell under the anointing and slept off, woke up and said to me, “Daddy, angels were here. They have strengthened my bones and my legs. I can now walk, dance, and run. And I said, “Please, demonstrate for me”. I went to the hospital and told the nurse and my wife that the cripple boy was walking. My wife said, "Remember you are a Reverend with Assemblies of God Church and you are not supposed to lie." When I insisted, she said that if she got home and it was true, she would give me a goat. We got home and the boy ran to meet her. My wife fainted. I said to her, "Madam, you didn't promised me fainting; you promised me a goat. Please stand up and give me my goat." She thought I was joking. 'Promise and fail' is a sin and I don't want her to go to hell. I drove my car to her father's house. I narrated everything to her father and protested that her father must produce the goat on her behalf. My father in-law looked at me and said, "Uma, you are too troublesome." I said, "No Sir. Can I have the goat?" He went to his animal house and a brought me the biggest goat there. I don't know the situation around your life that has attracted mockery. From today, God shall turn your mockery into miracle, your shame onto fame and your disgrace into unusual grace!

NEVER GIVE UP... On the 9th of December 1982, a 30 year old woman was raped and stabbed in her Baton Rouge home in Louisiana by an unknown black male. On the 4th of January 1983, a 22 old black male named ARCHIE WILLIAMS was arrested as the culprit, a crime he knew nothing about. He knew he was innocent and didn’t commit any crime but as a poor black kid, he didn’t have the economic ability to fight the state of Louisiana. During his trial it was discovered that fingerprints found at the crime scene was not his own, Williams also had Three (3) witnesses that came forward to testify that Williams was at home sleeping when the crime occurred and the victim herself wasn’t able to identify Williams as the culprit but succumbed after intense pressure by the police. The victims neighbor also said the culprit was taller than Williams. Even with all these facts proving that Williams was innocent, the state of Louisiana convicted Williams of the crime on April 21, 1983. He was sentenced to life imprisonment without a possibility of parole to a prison called “Angola”, the BLOODIEST PRISON in the United States. A 22yr old black male who committed no crime was sent to life imprisonment to a jail made for “Beasts” because the state wanted someone to pay for the crime. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, months into years and years into decades with no help in sight. When he felt knocked down in prison, he would pray and sing to the Lord and that was how he got peace in prison. Williams came from a family of singers and even in prison, he led music ministrations in the prison church singing and praising God! A friend told him about the “Innocence Project”, an organization that helps people wrongly convicted fight for their freedom. He first wrote to them for help in 1995 when he was 35years and had already spent 13years in jail for a crime he never committed. They took up his case and together with his legal team fought for Archie Williams. During the early years in prison, Archie ran a successful boxing program in prison where he coached boxers to winning major titles in the state of Louisiana. But he gave it up to focus on his fight for freedom. In prison, he never allowed the evil spirit of being wrongly convicted live in his heart. As he loved singing, he would watch “America’s Got Talent” all the time and would visualize himself on the stage singing one day. And to God be the glory, the day came. It took Innocence Project 24yrs to get the judge to allow them search FBI’s finger print database and within ONE HOUR of granting them the permission, they matched the prints found on the crime scene to a man named, Stephen Forbes. A man known to have committed many sexual assaults. Archie Williams was finally freed on March 21, 2019 after spending THIRTY SIX (36) years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. He went in a 22year and came out a 58year old man! He didn’t sit down and cry over his wasted years, he decided to make something out of his life. In November 2019, he sang at the world famous Apollo theatre in Harlem and made it through 3 rounds of their singing competition. He later flew to Los Angeles to audition for “America’s Got Talent” ON May 26, 2020, 8.7 million people watched on television as Archie Williams walked onto the stage of America’s Got Talent. where he shared his story, sang and made it to the finals His story inspired Simon Cowell to become an “Innocence Ambassador” to help other wrongfully convicted people throughout the U.S Music legend Elton John was moved to tears when he heard him sing his 1974 hit, “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me” and called him on the phone. He invited him to join him on his tour. He was also on Steve Harvey show where he got $5000 amongst other gifts. He is also due a compensation of $250,000 from the state of Louisiana which is NOT enough to compensate for 37years in prison. But Archie is living his life now. Now what do you do in difficult times, do you sing and praise God like Archie Williams or do you curse God? Never allow the enemy to stop you from praising God. Williams said "Since I can remember in life, my relationship always has been with God. Believing in him and trusting in him. I don’t know what other peoples’ beliefs are, but that’s my belief. That’s where I get everything from" If we praise God during difficult times, it shows our trust in God and God NEVER disappoints those who put their trust in Him! Happy Moments, Praise God Difficult Moments, Seek God Quiet Moments, Worship God Painful Moments, Trust God Every Moment … THANK GOD!! Even so: Remember Jesus was sentenced to death for a crime He knew nothing about, but surely He rose again!! Don't Give up now You shall surely rise Again!

Lewisjohnson:it's obvious you are one of those outside the country that is terrorising SE. But you know what, God is bigger than all of you together. Wouldn't it be better to have an internal dialogue, and reason well than all this killings? Why would you allow the enemies of SE be happy about their divided house? Why can't my brothers reason together and have a level playing ground for all? Since the inception of Gov. Soludo, it has always been one problem to another.....and yet, the SE collectively have a rare gem in this governor. I'm only appealing that we should reason together. Let us embrace peace and leave in amony. Enough of innocent bloods been wasted away. I was so sad about the Hon. that was behaded yesterday or so. This is not a good thing on our land. One love. |

Intercede With God For Them Sun, 22 May 2022 ‘I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.’ 1 Timothy 2:1 Paul writes: ‘pray for all people… intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Saviour, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.’ (1 Timothy 2:1–4 NLT) Intercession means ‘to mediate between parties with a view to reconciling those who differ or contend.’ It happens every day in the court system when lawyers intercede on behalf of their clients. It also happened in Scripture. When Israel made a golden calf and worshipped it, Moses interceded with God on their behalf, saying: ‘These people have committed a great sin… Yet now, if You will forgive their sin—but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written.’ (Exodus 32:31–32 NKJV) God then told Moses, ‘Go, lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you. Behold, My Angel shall go before you.’ (Exodus 32:34 NKJV) Later when Israel turned again to worship false gods, Samuel said, ‘Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray [intercede] to the Lord for you.’ (1 Samuel 7:5 NKJV) As a result, the Lord sent a loud thunder upon the Philistines that day, and so confused them that they were defeated before Israel (see 1 Samuel 7:10). Interceding can be a lonely business, and it’s also hard work: ‘Always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.’ (Colossians 4:12 NKJV) But when nothing else works, intercessory prayer does! |
I still don't get it. Are the igbo fighting themselves or fighting the FG? Why will they continue killing each other? A house divided can never stand I think? ![]() |

Understanding God’s Love For You Sat, 21 May 2022 ‘Perfect love casts out fear.’ 1 John 4:18 Question: since we’re naturally drawn to people who love us, why is it so difficult for us to go to God in prayer? Answer: because we need a fresh revelation of His love for us! Paul prayed that the Ephesian church would ‘be able to understand how wide, long, high and deep His love is.’ (Ephesians 3:18 GWT) It’s multi-dimensional, going to the ends of the universe and back, above and beyond all that we deserve. The truth is, God couldn’t love you more than He does. What’s His love like? Look at the cross. Had you been the only person who ever lived, Jesus would have died just for you. What does His love cost? Nothing! It comes with no strings attached. You didn’t do anything to deserve it, and when you mess up, you don’t forfeit it. ‘Nothing in all creation can separate us from God’s love.’ (Romans 8:39 CEV) Once you accept that, you can acknowledge your weaknesses, seek God’s help, grow strong, and use the talents He has given you. When you believe God loves you based on who you are in Christ, you have the ultimate self-esteem—born of God’s esteem for you. And since His is the only ‘perfect love’, it removes your ‘fear’. So, what are you afraid of? That you won’t get what you need? That you will lose something you have? John tells us: ‘His perfect love for us eliminates all dread… If we are afraid, it… shows… we are not fully convinced that He really loves us.’ (1 John 4:18 TLB) Ask God today for a fresh revelation of His love for you, bearing in mind that what He loves, He prizes, protects, and provides for. |

.....my candid advice of you want to know, is let her go. Let her be. Separate from her now before it is too late. You are definitely not making that lady happy again. The only reason she is still in that marriage with you is because of her kids & the shame she will receive from her family when she leaves you. Better think right. |

A Love For God’s Word Fri, 20 May 2022 ‘Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.’ Psalm 119:105 The Psalmist highlights two important things Bible reading does for you: (1) It shows you your spiritual condition. In Bible times there were no paved roads, so when guests entered a house, they paused to wash the sand, dirt, and grime from their feet. That’s what Bible reading does. The psalmist said, ‘How can young people [and older ones] keep their lives pure? By obeying Your commands.’ (Psalm 119:9 GNT) (2) It shows you the direction you need to go. When you’re faced with an important decision and you don’t know which way to go, God will be a light to your path and guide you through His Word. David, who loved God’s Word and meditated on it constantly, prayed, ‘Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.’ (Psalm 143:10 NKJV) Many of the mistakes we make could be prevented if we stopped long enough to seek God’s guidance. He knows what lies ahead; we don’t. So ‘commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.’ (Psalm 37:5 NKJV) Just like children need to be taught to cultivate a taste for healthy food instead of junk food, you need to cultivate a taste for God’s Word. The psalmist said, ‘I will delight myself in Your commandments, which I love.’ (Psalm 119:47 NKJV) ‘Your Word is very pure; therefore Your servant loves it.’ (Psalm 119:140 NKJV) Today ask God to give you a love for His Word. That’s a prayer He will answer! |
God1000:it is not. It's the fact. |

What Does It Mean To Meditate? Thu, 19 May 2022 ‘I will meditate on Your precepts, and contemplate Your ways.’ Psalm 119:15 Another word for meditation is rumination. Rumination is what a cow is doing when she chews her cud. The cow eats grass, chews all she can, and then swallows it. It sits in one of her stomachs for a while, and then a little later, she burps it up—with renewed flavour. The cow chews on it some more and swallows it again. This process continues in all four stomachs. That’s rumination. The cow is pulling every tiny bit of nourishment from the grass. And meditation is simply thought digestion. Meditation doesn’t mean putting your mind in neutral and thinking about nothing. On the contrary, it’s thinking seriously about what you’re reading. For example, you dwell on one verse of Scripture and ask, ‘What does this mean for my life?’ You talk to yourself about it and talk to God about it. The Bible says this: ‘Keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don’t ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise… And God, who gives peace, will be with you.’ (Philippians 4:8–9 CEV) Notice that we are to ponder different categories of things and, by implication, to avoid thinking about the opposite kind of things. Colossians 3:16 KJV says, ‘Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.’ You need to spend time every day—a minimum of ten to fifteen minutes—where you sit down, read a portion of the Bible, and think deeply about what you have just read. Then talk to the Lord about it in prayer. That’s the starting point for spiritual change and growth. |

Think Right, Live Right Wed, 18 May 2022 ‘Your life is shaped by your thoughts.’ Proverbs 4:23 William James said, ‘You’re not what you think you are, but what you think—you are.’ Lasting change always begins with new thinking. How do you become a Christian? By repenting of your sin and placing your trust in Christ. The Greek word for repentance is metanoia, and it means to change your mind. We’re not changed by willpower, but by the transforming power of God’s Word when we use it to renew our minds each day. The Bible clearly teaches that the way we think determines the way we feel, and the way we feel determines the way we act. So if you want to change your actions, you have to return to the source and change the way you think. At times you may act resentful. Why? Because you feel resentful. And do you know why you feel resentful? Because you are thinking resentful thoughts. The same is true of anger, worry, lust, and other destructive thought patterns. Jesus said, ‘You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’ (John 8:32 NLT) When you base your life on truth—when you live with the right kind of thoughts, not misconceptions or false beliefs, and you base your life on thinking from God’s Word—you will be set free. You will find your old habits, feelings, and actions beginning to fall away. When you focus solely on removing bad thoughts, you create a vacuum into which the bad thoughts can return. But when you replace bad thoughts with good ones—Scriptural ones—you are empowered by God to live the life of blessing He wants you to enjoy. |

How God Changes Us (2) Tue, 17 May 2022 ‘Beatings purge the inmost being.’ Proverbs 20:30 Another way God changes us is through circumstances. Problems, pressures, sorrows, hardships, and stress always get our attention. C.S. Lewis said, ‘Pain insists on being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures… but shouts to us in our pain.’ The J.B. Phillips translation of Romans 8:28–29 reads: ‘To those who love God, who are called according to His plan, everything that happens fits into a pattern for good. God… chose them to bear the family likeness of His Son.’ Nothing can come into your life without your heavenly Father’s permission; it must be ‘Father-filtered’. The interesting thing about how God uses circumstances is that their source makes no difference to Him. We often bring problems on ourselves. Sometimes they’re caused by other people. Other times the Enemy causes things to happen to us. But the source of the circumstances is irrelevant. God says, ‘I will make it fit into My plan for your life, to make you like Jesus Christ.’ That means there is no circumstance from which we can’t learn if we maintain the right attitude. Why did Solomon say, ‘Blows and wounds scrub away evil, and beatings purge the inmost being’? Because we change only when our fear of change is surpassed by our pain. If you want to become more like Jesus, think about this: ‘Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.’ (Hebrews 5:8 NKJV) If God used the challenges, conflicts, and circumstances of life to prepare His Son for His destiny, won’t He do the same in our lives? So instead of trying to escape your circumstances, learn from them and grow stronger. |
Hero indeed. While some useless, dumb head, slowpoke and most stupid people still think the best for them is to kill & lynch an innocent lady because of her defending her faith. Mad people. ![]() |
