Gokoyer1401: Hmmmn. But why can't you be checking out Australia for programs also as a kind of back up plan? The thing is these countries all have a quota each year for international students and they can't take more than they require no matter how qualified everybody is. |

Where you will sit down and evaluate if this journey or wait is worth it.
I am in that stage now. |

Johnchan2: My application will soon be 12 months~ 1 year..... God, please help me ...
Also please I'm still hoping someone can give me anyone I can contact at the Kenya embassy, so I can make some enquiries about my application>>> Thank you You said ircc has requested for your updated LOA Then your chances of approval is high, some of the things I think you should do are; 1 order for your GCMS notes. It will tell you the stage of your application. There should be a pre-assessment notes that would give you an inkling on the position of your application. 2 contact an mp in the jurisdiction of your school or write a well detailed mail explaining your predicament and how this wait is affecting your mental health and productivity to the immigration Minister. He can check in with ircc for you. 3 send them non-stop continuous mails and webforms siting the length of your application and how it is affecting all other plans you have. 4 - try and check for anyone you know in Nairobi to walk In their office and make enquiries on your behalf. Some one did this last year by going to ircc office in Nairobi himself to know what is going on in his application and they told him to expect a decision in 2 weeks. His ppr came out before then. I belive you will get your PPR latest next month which makes it exactly one year. Please don't relent. You're almost there. |

Belle110: so the MP reached out to me because they promised to do so today as they have been monitoring my application. here's the feedback:
Our office inquired with IRCC regarding the status of name’s application. IRCC confirmed with our office that the application was received on January 15, 2022 and is currently processing at the Canadian Visa Application Centre in Nairobi, Kenya. IRCC let our office know that the criminality and medical assessments have passed. IRCC informed our office that the medicals on file are valid until February 22, 2023. Furthermore, IRCC informed us that the eligibility assessments are currently under review. Our contacts at IRCC let us know that no further documentation or information is required of Funmilayo at this time. Rest assured, should they require further action from Funmilayo, IRCC will reach out directly.
We understand name is set to commence classes in the beginning of May. Should she have any supporting documentation and/or a letter of explanation regarding the urgency of the situation, she is welcome to provide our office with any attachments she believes are relevant, and we will forward them to IRCC on her behalf. Should she choose to do so, please ensure any attachment(s) provided do not exceed the maximum file size 4MB. Please note, we cannot guarantee that this will result in expedited processing and/or a positive outcome.
With that said, our office will continue to monitor the status of the application, and provide you with updates as they become available to us. If you do not hear back from our office by May 13, please follow up via email. Rest assured, should we receive any updates before this time, we will be sure to let you know right away. Please be sure to keep our office informed of any updates Funmilayo may receive from IRCC directly.
We hope this information is of assistance.
Omo Nawa. Do you have any proof that you're starting by may. Maybe email from the school or enrollment letter stating your start date. Or whether you have to be around for "in person classes" I suggest you forward to IRCC and that MP. It may or may not expedite your application. But atleast its worth a try. Goodluck. I belive your ppr is coming. |

Guys, what is really happening?
Sometimes it feels like they have taken a break no one knows about.
The same people we see everyday waiting for a response are the same people still waiting day by day.
I don't even think mails work anymore. Webform is just formality at this point.
Most people will be resuming spring next month and they have no clue about what stage their application is right now.
At this point, pray silently, fast and hope for the best.
It's better for them to take time and be approved than for them to rush your app and be denied.
It will end in praise for everyone waiting. |

Daslimo: Hello guys, while reading through the platform, I learned that people submit their family's birth certificates, passports, etc. My problem now is that I am not on good terms with most of my siblings and wouldn't even bother asking them for their identity documents. On the flip side, I saw this on the CIC website (glossary):
Accompanying family member: A spouse, common-law partner, dependent child or dependent child of a dependent child (grandchild), who plans to immigrate to Canada with the principal applicant. Accompanying family members are included on the application.
Does this mean I can exempt them? What would you advise? PS: I am single, have no kids and don't intend to travel with anyone just yet. I can get the birth certificates/passports of a few of my siblings but not all of them. I also have an old family picture (taken since 2005). You don't have to travel with your family members, infact it is even advisable to have some of them back in Nigeria for HOME TIES. Just state how many siblings you have in the family information form you are going to fill. And tick "no" to the question of "if there's going to be any accompanying family members" since you are planning to go alone. |

Please, I'll like to ask, how many weeks after applying do you receive an offer for the below schools. 1. Cape Breton 2. Crandall University 3. UCW I applied for 2023 fall session and it's been a month now and not heard from them. UCW is usually very fast, about 2 weeks - 1 month max I don't know about the rest |
