"Hello,
I hope this reaches you well. With careful writing, wish to thank the humble Nation Canada for giving us some privilege to become prospective and full students of Canada schools as this is really bringing a synergy between the two countries(Nigeria and Canada), while also putting both countries on path of growth, thanks to transfer knowledge & technical know-how.

In recent years, the economy of Canada has grown exponentially and thus competing with other great nations of the world on all positive index and ticking the right Indices (among which affordable and top notch educational system is)

That been said, we have now noticed quite delays we applicants are facing to acquire a study permit into Canada. Comparing our processing and decision time with other countries, it is really disheartening that Canada study applications from Nigeria takes minimum of 3 months and on average 6months, while in some instances we've seen applicants get decision between 8 to 14 months.

Just recently, a scheme NIGERIAN STUDENT EXPRESS (NSE) was introduced, this was to mirror the SDS program and act as catalyst in expediating the application process for those you meet up with the requirement, few who got selected for special route NSE hardly get a decision within 3months of their application, as against the stipulated 20 to 30days processing time expressed by IRCC.

The rate at which students defer admission is alarming, this is a recent norm among Nigeria applicants which our different institutions of higher learning attest to and even willfully propose deferment just to cushion the effect due to the delay in decision making from the immigration desk. There is no gain saying most students have set out plans on commencement and time expected/wish to return home after study to impact lives, develop the growing society and help fight economic fall. But the long process have made a lot to alter or extend visions and goals. It is worthy of note that time lost can never be recuperated.
Recently, we seen our colleagues from other countries getting replies and favourable decision in 20 days or even less than that. More worrisome is the ability of IRCC to give 3 different verdict to a single applicant in 3 months whilst their contemporary from other countries do not get a single verdict in 6 months or more. The degree of disparity is shocking and unexplainable

We believe international students are an integral part of the economic & population growth of Canada, so we appeal to the immigration authorities to revisit and reconsider our processing time, to enable our future aspiration see the light if the day in a timely manner.

Is there any special link if applying through NSE( i couldn't find any) or one will apply through the normal processing platform however supply the additional information information required for the NSE? Any help please. Thanks.

There’s no special link to apply for NSE, just submit your application and IRCC will send you a request letter if they think you qualify for the NSE program or you can submit your my bank statement certificate, IELTS and upfront Medicals with your application

I Got a message from IRCC on my email stating after going through my application they find me eligible for the Nigeria Student Express to get my study permit faster. It's valid for
But it came with some demands;
1. Proof of funds in a (Mybankstatement) account
2. IELTS academic or general test
But also, the msg can be ignored if I would like it to proceed through normal processing.



My questions are:

1. Can I ask for a English waiver from my school in Canada and upload the documents together with my sponsors Mybankstatement on my accountonline application?

2. Does getting the NSE request email give you a better chance of getting ur study visa ?

You are to write IELTS either (general or academic) with an overall band score of not less than 6.0 and submit it with my bank statement

Some people have gotten waivers from their former institution and submitted and still got approval while some have ignored the whole letter and waited after 30 days for normal processing and still got approval, no one can really tell how IRCC works. But in my humble opinion, it won’t be bad to get a waiver from your previous university in Nigeria or the current one from Canada and upload it if you can’t write the IELTS. You can still wait for the gurus to interject and drop their professional opinions.

Lastly, NSE does not give you a better chance at visa approval, as there have been people that have gone through the route and still got denied. You just get a faster processing time.
And this days, even people who submitted NSE wait for as long 3 to 4 months. No one can really tell how this guys work.

How possible to get study permit with above age. I want to go for post graduate program (college). I work, have company, have 10million, sponsor, have lands etc

Yes it’s possible
Someone who was 40 years old was approved few weeks back. You just need to package your application well and show clear career path goals and you will be fine, and don’t forget to back it up with serious prayers.

LONG POST ALERT!!!

Only a fool will say that there is no GOD! I have seen him at work in my life and I am a living testimony that He answers prayers in line with His will for you and me.

This journey started 2years ago when I initially wanted to do express entry but my score wasn’t high enough. I wrote IELTS back then and got an 8,8,8,6.5 in S,R,L and W respectively. I contested the writing score and to God’s glory, after 3 weeks it came back approved and my writing score was increased to 7 bringing me to an overall band score of 8.

Fast forward to last year October when I suddenly decided that I wanted to try the study route out and saw a course I like but it was one week to the deadline. I quickly gathered my documents and submitted a few days before deadline. I applied to just one school with faith. To GOD’s glory, I got the admission! 2nd hurdle crossed lol.

I was advised by a friend to ready up everything about packaging my application from Nairaland and I turn this platform to my new bible, digesting every detail from Thread 13 all the way from writing my SOP to how I arranged my documents. I even read from someone’s testimony here, to use my office email when applying which I also did. Thank you all for your immense contributions on this platform. You are saving lives!!! I packaged my application without using any agent, all to the glory of GOD ALMIGHTY. I arranged my documents using table of contents for each section as advised here.

Funny part is that when I submitted my application with full NSE, I was expecting that in one month, my visa would have arrived. This one became a serious test of faith but God is always faithful. Imagine being sent for biometrics 1month after applying as against the usual 1 week of other people. I sent webforms and emails once every week, all the way to the same day I got my PPR and they kept responding with their usual email of its actively under control.

One thing I would suggest is that if you are yet to do your medicals, pls do and send to them. It saves you a whole lot of waiting because when they are checking ur eligibility, rather than sending u to go and do medicals which will take more time, its approved immediately.

My timeline is below:

Application Date: February 4th, 2021 (I submitted my application with all the requirements for NSE route)
Upfront Medicals: February 26th, 2021
Upfront medicals passed: March 2nd, 2021
Biometrics Request Date: March 5th, 2021
Biometrics Done: March 8th, 2021
Request for MBS: April 9th, 2021
Submission of Additional Document (MBS): April 12th, 2021
Eligibility review started: April 13th, 2021
PPR and BVL!!!!! April 22nd, 2021

As at yesterday morning, I was still begging God to give me this as my birthday gift and lo and behold at 9:23am, my love letter dropped!!! I laughed, cried and rolled on the floor in my office. I couldn’t sleep all night, my mind has been racing on different things, truly-problem no dey finish, lol. Please pardon my long epistle.

I believe d demand for shops there are very high, so the owner of d building probably sized d shops to make extraordinary rental income knowing people would still come for it in high demand
