Iberisamuel90:IELTS score does not determine if you will have PPR or not, it can aid you but not the determining factor. So don’t worry about the score. Rather worry about your proof of finance, SOP and career progression. It will end in praise |
DeeShares:Your application is barely one month old, there’s no way you will be getting a tangible decision within that time frame as your program begins in June. Has your eligibility review started?? I think maybe you should Defer your program to the next available date, it doesn’t affect your study permit in any way. It will end in praise |
lauretha:Please raise a web form and email them your sponsors letter and LOE immediately. Is this your first or second application |
lilianijitola:Yes it’s possible to get a study permit visa for a one year post graduate certificate and a diploma. But it largely depends on your previous study/qualifications, your SOP and proof of finance. What is your previous course of study if I may ask? Almost all Canadian universities exempt IELTS as Nigeria is an English speaking country, google is a friend you can use to quick search Canadian universities that exempt IELTS. You can check university of Regina, conestoga college e.t.c |
lilianijitola:It’s a letter from your former institution in Nigeria stating that all your classes/lectures and mode of instruction was rendered in English and you passed all your exams in english. Just locate the registrar from your former university and tell them you need an English proficiency waiver letter, they will understand. It usually goes for a small fee tho I hope this is ok |
Ysakaws1:It is going to be difficult to convince the point of entry officers that you are going to be in Canada for 6 months prior to the start of your course and you won’t work. Will the money you have be sufficient? The money you are suppose to use for your hostel and living expenses, you will start spending it in that six month just to survive before your program begins. It will be hard to convince them How you take reason am too?? |
shawn55ng:Yes I think one guy, few months back uploaded an English proficiency waiver because he couldn’t write the IELTS at that time, and he still got approval. If you can’t write IELTS and you can lay your hands on an English proficiency waiver from your former institution, try and get it and upload it. You never can tell with IRCC |
childgodly:It means that the main work on your application has started, this is where the visa officer checks your proof of finance and whether the program you applied for is eligible to warrant you a study permit visa. Once this stage is done, the next thing that comes is a decision. That’s why everyone is always asking if eligibility review has started |

Alchemist01:Congratulations!!! hope for the masses that things are still happening properly. February applicants, you guys should be ready oo. March applicants too should start getting decisions too soon by the grace of God |
johnsukanmi:Yes, you can go for your medical before IRCC request for it |
AdoChel:You just have to keep checking bro. All of us dy this suffer together lol It will end in praise |
Spectro:It is well, I read the post of the guy that was rejected after 8 months. This is just not good enough bro, why have we been castigated so bad, why are they using the few bad eggs to tarnish the whole population. I believe you and all of us will still get some good news soon. |
Baggiomarrio:They are saying the account is fraudulent. You need to submit another one with a letter of explanation stating that you have not misrepresented and that the account is genuine Don’t panic, just go to the bank with your dad and request for another one. Good luck bro |
Baggiomarrio:It can be frustrating bro, but you don’t have a choice than to go to the bank and request for a MBS certificate sent directly to the embassy with a ticket I.d. Request for a short explanation from the bank manager on how the bank account is genuine and in operation with current banking standards. you can also add your own personal letter of explanation and send everything. It’s not a big problem bro. Your application is right on track. Good luck bro |
hoodboy:You can upload and submit it now |
Anon123:Why is this always your first question, I know there are lots of fraudulent agents out there but there are also good ones too. And some of these mistakes can be traced directly to IRCC, it’s just that we really don’t have any choice than to take what they give us. The way IRCC treat Nigerians is just not good enough. They dare not treat Indians or Europeans this way. This is the same way they said someone’s dad bank account was fraudulent and the person had to run around by getting another verification from the bank, the funny thing was the bank assured him the first one they sent was good without error. Why do they do this to us ![]() |
Onweke:Take it easy bro, just take your mind off it. This Canada journey can make someone run mad, throughout last week I couldn’t even really concentrate. I’m about registering for some computer classes next week particularly (diploma in web designing and graphic designing) learn one or two skills and take my mind off the whole thing. It’s too mentally draining , I’m just tired. Let’s just keep praying and keep ourselves busy. This constant check is not good for ones mental state. We will all be fine. More PPR to come guys inshaAllah. |
Yinkagbo:There’s nothing wrong with your application. They have a backlog of medicals and they process it at random. So you are one of the lucky ones I guess Keep faith, everything is going well |
Kunfu:Yes you can. Go on and upload it now |
qb41:Congratulations!!! It shall end well for all of us |
Omo, this Canada journey is not easy and for the faint hearted We Nigerian applicants are really suffering mehn, months without any favorable answer, you don’t even know if they are working on your application or they have forgotten about it, you are literally at Their mercy. May God grant all of us speedy applications and favorable answers at the end of the day. It will work out no matter how much you think your application isn’t strong. Just believe guys!!! |
emmalextemtop:Police character certificate is only valid for 3 months, after which you will have to acquire another one. |
Princox21:In my own humble suggestion, I think you need to prove more ties between you and your sponsor. Maybe show more documents that prove that he has made some financial commitments to you in the past, like paid for any of your fees before, or sent money for upkeep, WhatsApp messages where you two keep constant communications about your welfare and progress, family pictures old or new between the two of you. Because the VO is really concerned about the relationship between the both of you and does not believe funds will be readily available You can also add another letter of explanation on why you weren’t able to attend any other post secondary institutions since you finished secondary school, as the VO is really concerned about your purpose of visit and genuineness to study. Maybe a little bit more explanation on why you weren’t able to study since you left secondary school, why you want to do it now, why Canada, why the course will be beneficial to you and your future prospects and how it’s going to be helpful to you and your country of origin when you are done with it. I hope this helps a little bit |
Sapte:Please I would like to join. I’m a university of Regina prospective student tho, not approved yet |
Uduak55:Did you submit nse request letter or you ignored it? |
Uduak55:Wow, so fast When did you submit?? |
childgodly:If you have everything you can submit it at once. what if it takes a long time before they even send you the request or they don’t even send it attal. These IRCC guys can be very funny sometimes You can still wait for the gurus sha |
buckyfof: |
AKANLE2:You can pay from another account, just endeavor to add the receipt you get from the aforementioned payment. It will end in praise |
AdoChel:The visa officer will only be able to check the amount in the stated period of the statement of account you submitted and not anything after that as the bank cannot breach confidential information to third parties. But what the visa officer can do again is to ask for an extended statement of account later if they feel suspicious about the authenticity of the money in the account. It’s not a standard practice tho, they just do it sometimes. It will end in praise |
I’ve been on Twitter a long time guys, so pls When you are adding hashtags to your tweet, don’t add more than 2 or Twitter will block/disable your account for being a bot. It’s how their algorithm works. Just a maximum of 2 hashtags on a particular tweet guys Thank you as we move forward |
