You'd think a person who knows that parables and myths are stories used to teach would learn to understand instead of believing them.

Yet, here is the joker ignorantly believing - "with proof", he claims - that the story teller must believe the myth being used to teach his dumb ass!

Sorry dude, but you really are showing a bit of ignorance here by thinking this is the "majority British view". I'd suggest you ask those who live there but even the article you referenced shows this is a minority view that is not tolerated, and in fact should not be tolerated in Nigeria neither as people with such attitudes do not fix anywhere but just destroy wherever they are!

I've taken the bother to reproduce the full article below so you fail in promoting the sort of divisive hatred that is destroying Nigeria and which the majority in UK are against. Eagle eyes would note the (sic) to denote that the ignorant person who wrote this can't speak nor write Queen's English theirself and ought to be deported by their own ignorant inability.

Police called in after poster tells residents of flats to speak English

‘Happy Brexit Day’ sign in Norwich block said foreign tongues would not be tolerated

A poster telling residents of a block of flats “we do not tolerate” people speaking languages other than English in the building has been reported to police.

The typewritten poster, bearing the title “Happy Brexit Day”, was reportedly found stuck to fire doors in Winchester Tower in Norwich on Friday morning. The discovery came hours before the UK officially left the European Union at 11pm later that day.

A photo of the poster shared in news reports and on social media revealed that it declared: “We finally have our great country back.”

Addressing Winchester Tower residents, it said the “Queens (sic) English is the spoken tongue here” and suggests that people wanting to speak a language other than English should leave the country.

Writing on Twitter on Saturday, Norwich city council said: “You may have seen a photo of a poster that has appeared in one of our properties.

“Norwich has a proud history of being a welcoming city, and we will not tolerate this behaviour. As soon as we became aware of this incident, we reported it to Norfolk police and they are investigating.

“We take this very seriously and encourage residents to contact us or the police if they have any concerns.”

According to the BBC, which spoke to a resident, the signs were left on fire doors across all 15 floors of the block of flats before being removed by the caretaker.

Mike Stonard, a cabinet member on Norwich city council, told the Eastern Daily Press: “I absolutely condemn this abhorrent poster. Whoever put it there has committed a hate crime, it is as simple as that.

“Many people voted for Brexit for a range of different reasons, however I am sure not many of them will condone this kind of thing.”

Norfolk police have been contacted for comment.

We won’t let Brexit come between us…

Tatime was correct. buda does not do humble. That however does not mean buda does not learn. A persin who does not learn would not know anything and I doubt you'd say that about buda.

Regarding "be fruitful". You yourself said "Jesus, John the baptist, Apostle Paul and many other servants of God never marry nor give birth to children, yet they did the work of FAITH."

Would you say they were not "fruitful" because they did not reproduce sexually?

Be fruitful means, Be productive. As in Work!

Maximus69:
Regarding the command given at Genesis 1:28, due to our imperfection none of the imperfect descendants of Adam can singlehandedly meet up with that for now.
God does not create imperfect human beings Max. All God's creations are perfect.

As is written "The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor." Each receives according to their need, and each gives (or works) according to their ability, which is why so much more is expected from those who have received more.

Do note that buda is not stating a doctrine that everyone must live by. The Lord may have told you different.

Point of correction to the statement in bolded. Dont ever say unbelievers don't read the Bible, they aren't just gullible like you believers. But what does the bible say?

In Genesis 7:21-23, God drowns the entire population of the earth: men, women, children, babies, and animals. Why? Because he wanted to make peace.
I'm afraid you leave me no choice but to indeed say you don't know how to read. And you appear to be a believer, and gullible.

Just take the above. You read in a book what the writer wrote that God did and you make out the book told you God did it. Is that how reading works? You read a book and the book "says"? Do you read a newspaper and claim the newspaper "says"? Is it not the truth that the book never said anything, but you read it and undertand what you read to mean what you claim to understand?

And that's apart from a writer wrote in a book what the writer claims God did! Surely if you were not a believer, if you were a teensy weensy bit skeptical, as opposed to the gullible believer that you are, shouldn't your first question be, "how the heck did the writer know what God's motives were"? And that all apart from wondering where the writer got his or her information from!

I put it to you that the bit you reference above, like all the other bits, are for you to read and to question how it came about to be written for you to read and then to try to figure out how it could be understood, not so much that God is loving, peacemaking and just, but how the narative can possibly make you be loving peaceful abd just instead of the gullible believer that you appear to be!

It's Sunday. I hope you have a loving, peacemaking and just thing to do with your money instead of using it to buy credit to rant about a God that you read about in a book but make out said anything to you!

And p.s. Don't insult Spiderman! He does not have to exist for you to know his impact on those who read about him and his web, and those who wrote him into existence know that.

On the other hand, this deal is the Palestinians worst nightmare.
I couldn't say this any better!

Amujale:
We are here praising the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their cronies for warming to Trumps deal, and rightfully so.
Who is "here praising the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their cronies" with you?

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has committed the biggest sellout possible, no doubt for financial gain considering they are in financial trouble having had to shelf the sale of Aramco and having to take out their first loan ever!

Amujale:
However in Trumps deal making strategy, he forgot to pay proper attention to the Palestinians and such the Palestinians end up as the big losers in that deal and not the KSA and their cronies, they arent adversely affected whatsover.
Trump did not "forget to pay proper attention to the Palestinians"! He deliberately screwed them over because he does not give a flying fuq about Palestinians and he gains a lot by getting cosy up to Israel. The KSA though have a lot to gain by cosying up to Israel and Trump, and I expect parts of the Arab world to not look favorably at them going foward.

The map clearly shows Palestinians ghettoed in clusters (the blue bits), that weaken them as a homogeneous group of people making it impossible to organise or self rule, and I would not be surprised if the next step is their complete annihilation.

On the whole, this is like cheering the introduction of Apartheid or Hitler's solution to his Jewish problem, and calling it a "win-win" is like claiming Auschwitz is a win for the Germans and for Jews!

Ignorance, some say, is a choice. One can choose to investigate or just believe whatever one wants to ignorantly believe, but one must not assume everyone else will refuse to use the brain God stuck inside their heads and choose to be ignorant like one's self chooses to be.

Arab states have called for dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians but their meek response to a peace plan from US president Donald Trump that is heavily tilted in Israel’s favour underlines growing fatigue with the protracted conflict and a desire to protect relations with the White House.
https://www.ft.com/content/b366a016-42a1-11ea-a43a-c4b328d9061c

Leaders from around the world are reacting to US President Donald Trump's long-awaited Middle East plan, with some denouncing it as "aggressive" and "one-sided" and others saying the proposal initiative "could prove a positive step forward".
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/01/world-reaction-trump-middle-east-plan-200128173439574.html

Arab reactions so far are divided into three groups: qualified supporters, opponents, and silence. Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, and Morocco are among the supporters, though with various significant reservations; Jordan, Palestine, Iraq, Tunisia, and Algeria are among the opponents. The Islamic State and militant groups such as Yemen’s Houthis are even attempting to mobilize Muslims all over the world to thwart the scheme. The silent group includes some of the North African states, with the significant and contrasting exceptions of Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria. The others, including Libya and Sudan, voiced a muted response if any, as they are currently experiencing major political transitions and economic difficulties.

You claim the "perpetrators are Fulani herdsmen", but you neither saw a herd, nor know that they had a herd. Nor did those who witnessed the kidnapping see a herd! And when your relative was released, a herd had absolutely nothing to do with it! And you admit that "They switch between Hausa and Culture depending on whom they are speaking with". (3)All what they did will only benefit them during the resurrection of the dead, they will all be remembered for their FAITH. But they're NOT YET QUALIFIED FOR EVERLASTING LIFE!
Yet, we are reading of a people who were rewarded in this life, Max!

Do not boast, they say, but that does not mean one should disregard the effort one must put in to get to where one is today. Unless, Max, you want to claim God puts in your mouth the edifying words that come out of you by you doing no work to ensure they do come out of you. I, for one can not believe it fell on to you like manna from heaven, and I know that you would not be as saved as you claim if you had not done the immense work that is required to first, read, and second, have an understanding that you may have of the Word of the Lord. You may correct me if I am wrong.

God did not lie to me. When it is written, buda, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground", God promised I will be blessed, and by my faith gained from my experience testing this promise by doing all the works that are clearly listed, I have so far found it to be exactly as it says in the book.

But just in case I do not get it, Psalm 15 makes it very clear that if I do all the works that are listed therein, I will not be shaken and will dwell in the Tabernacle of the Lord, where, I pressume, those with eternal life dwell.

You will have to forgive me, but God can not be refusing to reward me here on earth where I'm likely to spend threescore and ten years which is already like an eternity, while I'm waiting for some eternal life. I don't have such patience and I deserve much more than that from my God!

I guess my understanding comes from my work as a farmer. Fruits of the Spirit require dedication to cultivation and the rewards of growing them begin right here on earth as you yourself can testify to by your communications with buda, though, I confess that by pointing this out to you, I boast, but would claim it is your fault that I am made to so you may understand, and the fault of the Grace of the Lord, and not my own doing, that I am able to.

Those who do not do the required work will lack understanding at the very least, and are known by the fruits that they produce or don't produce, whichever is the case. And one should not claim to have eternal life if one is not blessed on earth, as kpakpandoN has taught us here.

There are two types of works referred to in the Christian Greek Scriptures (New Testament).

The first is the WORKS OF THE LAWS introduced when the Israelites came out of Egypt, these works is strictly attached to the WRITTEN CODES found in those laws. Anyone adequately practicing them will be allowed to live amongst the Israelites as a bonafide worshiper of the God of Israel, while defaulters must stay far away from Israel or risk been exterminated.

The second is the WORK OF FAITH introduced when Jesus began his ministry in the first century, just like the first these work is also strictly attached but NOT TO WRITTEN CODES as the first, rather it's attached to the THOUGHTS, WORDS and ACTIONS of Jesus who is called the Christ! Anyone adequately practicing them will be granted the opportunity to live FOREVER, those who stumbles while trying to master it will be allowed to continue working harder to master it. But all those who REFUSED TO CONSIDER IT WILL NOT BE PARDONED, BUT GOD'S BURNING ANGER AWAITS THEM!

So the first has gone obsolete the very day Jesus said IT HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED and breathe his last as a human, whoever is still practicing the former works HAS TOTALLY DERAILED FROM THE RACE TO EVERLASTING LIFE!

God bless you! smiley
Was Abraham not doing work of faith when he led his son to be sacrificed? Was Noah not doing work of faith when he built his ark? So how can what was being done before Christ be introduced by Christ?

See here how we have evolved this conversation to our salvation on earth. We are speaking of one work here, and that is the work that brings about salvation. And as is clearly understood, those who do work that is not in accord with the dictats of the Lord clearly do work in vain! An example of such useless work would be kneeling and crying to heaven instead of shutting up and listening to instructions from God.

God blesses all. But you must put your hands out (work!) to receive it.

Please stop! I, am a farmer. My land is close to water where grass grows so cattle rearers come there to fatten their cattle. They even come on my land and eat my cassava, so this is not something I need to read lazy anecdotal reports in newspapers to know anything about!

Just think. These cattle rearers have to move their cattle around in our villages and through our farms. Do you seriously think Yoruba people are so spineless that we will know that these same herdsmen are kidnapping and raping our people and we would not enter bush that is on our land and go and do festival with them and their cattle? Does that not make you wonder, or do you think we are so afraid of dying?

You will recall that I called you to this thread specifically because of our discussion regarding work. And I've mentioned corruption in our own individual understanding of things, and corruption in our own actions. Corruption in our understanding is when we have not been sceptical enough and claim that things we know barely nothing about are true. And work is what we do when it is said that we have used our heart and soul and mind to delve into things to ascertain the truth instead of being lazy and just believing whatever we hear.

Now think. You already pointed out that there are no jobs. So explain to me what you think unemployable me, even if there were jobs, would do when there are no jobs? Is it not likely that I turn arm robber? And if I were Yoruba, would I not camouflage myself as say Fulani, so I am not easily detected especially since I know you are already gullibly quick to call me Fulani herdsman even when you see nor smell no cow? Don't you think I could possibly be smart enough to utter some words that make you think I am indeed Fulani even though for all you know I could be speaking Spanish?

I can assure you that dem never born the fulani herdsman to come to the Orolu Kingdom of Ifon Osun to come and be rearing cattle on our land and then be raping and kidnapping my people. As we say, "kini a fi oro se ni ilẹ wa?" And I bet you that the Orolu Kingdom is not unique in doing oro!

The reason why some people Interfere with People's Destiny With Relish is because their own destination is crap and if your own destination turns out better than their own they will have to start considering that perhaps their own destiny is crap and be forced to take responsibility for where they are. So they will lead others to a bad destiny so that they can say "we are in this together". You will note that to lead, they must be going ahead in front while you follow.

Do note that the first step in making you irresponsible for your destiny is convincing you that there are forces beyond you destining for you. Its a lie that you can very easily prove to yourself. Whether you go left or right is always your own independent very powerful choice, and no one drags you unless you abrogate your responsibility and become a follow follow and let them lead you astray!

That's the reason everyone must be actively responsible for their destiny. The person you are following may not necessarily know better than you, and if you are responsible, you can always change your destination if you don't like where you were going or where you currently are.
