TheFinesseKid: of all skills.. it's mechanic. Can you ask your blood to go learn mechanic. Be honest Yes. I have asked my bloods to learn mechanic (and other skills). One actually wanted to be a taxi driver, and another was year one mech eng in uni, and it stood them good in the end. The mech eng is currently seeking a learning opportunity with a car manufacturer in China. I've asked people to learn many skills, especially in their youth when they have more time to try things out, and have recently arranged for a 14 year old blood to go learn lawyer for 2 weeks during the holidays to see what it's like since that's what she wants to be when she grows up. Its about the skills and experience, you see. You never know where they might come handy or transfer to, I find. |

cococandy: Like clockwork, Republicans are on track to ruin the lives of older Americans. Just like they are known to do. Always ready to dismantle good measures put in place to protect vulnerable populations. Guess who’s going to benefit from hiking up the price of insulin for older people on Medicare? Definitely not the working class. Covid showed millions of Americans can die and the president gets a second term. Pretty much like Nigeria voting APC after 8 years of APC if you ask me, and shows people can be turkeys or don't know what they vote for. Will be fun watching them find out though. |

Jakumo: Nigerian politicians flush with hard currency don't patronize government-subsidized NHS medical facilities in the UK where the poor and middle class join ques lasting many hours to visit overburdened doctors.
Those super-wealthy Nigerian politicians pay pounds sterling for PRIVATE hospital care in London's Harley Street area, which 80% of the UK population could never afford. Tinubu recently went for care at Saint Mary's in Paddington, which is a NHS hospital, and King's in Denmark Hill, a NHS hospital, admits international fee paying patients at £500 a bed a night (2016 prices). They do both have private wings I do admit, and Tinubu was not served NHS, but the same doctors serve both private and NHS patients in both hospitals. That said, the article is talking more about emergency arrivals, and it's not as dire as is being made out if Nigerian standards are considered where more die. |

We can rejoice. The UK health system is now so bad that there's no reason for our rich and politicians to bother stealing our foreign currency to go buy health there.
All we need now is a thread claiming the UK universities kill students, and Nigerians wouldn't be coming to buy university neither and will buy made in Nigeria instead. |

Nnamdipapa: I think farmers and farm workers should be allowed to carry guns on their farms for protection The problem you are trying to solve is insecurity, and insecurity is caused by joblessness and the lack of opportunity and greed, and guns can not save you from the hungry and the desperate and the greedy they create. But the more serious problem I see with your proposed solution is, armed robbers more armed than you will come to steal your arms. Your guns are after all going to be more valuable to some than whatever you were growing and protecting. So gun crime will surely increase the more guns the criminals have. Perhaps its time for state police, I'm beginning to think despite my past fear of a strong man controlling the force. More police legally carrying guns will increase gun protection perhaps, though it will not eliminate the hungry and the desperate and the greedy who will be amongst us until cured. |

I hope not! Some people on Nairaland might shoot people for not agreeing with them. I do know one country where gun ownership is so allowed, so I AI'ed. Gun violence in the United States has been increasing, but in 2023, the number of gun-related deaths decreased. However, gun violence rates remain higher than before the pandemic.
Gun-related deaths In 2023, 43,163 people died from gun-related injuries in the United States. From 2010 to 2020, gun-related deaths increased by about 43%.
In 2021, 48,830 people died from gun-related injuries, which was an 8% increase from 2020.
Gun-related injuries In 2023, nearly 100,000 people were wounded by guns nationally.
The District of Columbia has the highest rate of gun injuries, while New Hampshire has the lowest.
Gun violence among children and teens Guns have been the leading cause of death among children and teens ages 1-17 for four years in a row.
The gun homicide rate among children and teens decreased by 3% in 2023, but the overall gun death rate for this age group nearly doubled over the past decade.
Mass shootings In 2024, there have been more than 488 mass shootings across the US.
A mass shooting is defined as an incident in which four or more people are injured or killed. |

Dtruthspeaker: If you look you would always see this connection
Women ➡️ Sex ➡️ Evil
And they are almost always together no matter the configuration they come. TheGreatIyaebe: Domestic violence remains a significant issue in Nigeria, with numerous tragic cases where husbands have killed their wives.

9. Unnamed Nigerian Men in the USA: Between 2006 and 2008, ten Nigerian women, eight of them nurses, were killed in the US by their partners—shot, stabbed, or bludgeoned to death.
10. Unnamed Nigerian Pharmacist: In July 2010, a Nigerian pharmacist, Olufemi Oladapo Ademoye, was arrested in Tampa, Florida, for the murder of his wife, Juliet Ademoye.
It's crucial for Nigerian women to on the guard and careful. I sometimes wish there could be a war so these men can be sent away. We need to reduce their population .
May God save the women. |
