This is just your version of emilokan, and it's just as dumb as that emilokan guy saying it. What about other tribes from other regions? Should we vote for them too because they too "have never become the President Of Nigeria or Vice President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2023 year"?
Tribe is not the reason to vote for anyone. Vote for merit. Vote for Obi!

CoolUsername: You're going to need to show me where I made this claim. My claim has always been that certain states follow the penal code. This is a simple fact. Show me where I said that all Nigerian law is based on the penal code. No CoolUsername, you did not say "all Nigerian law is based on the penal code". I misread what you wrote. I apologise. |

benalvino3: You are the one who can't comprehend or understand what is going on. Coolusername tried for you. Words can be used interchangeably even if they have different meaning. your argument is that the Penal Code and the Criminal code are the same thing... and i am saying No... depending on the context. I am glad you said it depends on context. There is a lot of context that subjugates the penal code to the Criminal Code Act 1990. |

It would be more honest that this lame attempt. I gave a list of states with underage marriage. When you have time, let me know which are Democrat led states please.

benalvino3: A penal code and a criminal code are both documents that compile the criminal laws of a jurisdiction. The terms are often used interchangeably, but there may be some differences depending on the context.
Penal code may refer to the law that defines what acts are punishable and what penalties can be imposed for those acts. Criminal code may refer to the law that defines what acts are prohibited by the state because they are socially harmful.
However, these definitions are not universal and some jurisdictions may use different terms or meanings for their codes. For example, some countries have a civil code that includes criminal law as well as other areas of law. I love when you use your brain. It's the only reason I discuss with you sometimes. Pity is it's not often enough. Thanks for using it this time, eventually. |

Post the receipts or take your L You were summed up pretty well here, so I'm not surprised at your antics. Enugurangers: You were the one trying to obfuscate. You were informed via screenshots that paedophilia is a problem all over Nigeria, so you quickly changed the topic to child marriages, state law, child act, penal law e.t.c. lol.
You could have clearly bolded just the child marriages only and leave out wirinet's other post about paedophilia and child rape. It's also interesting to know that there are child marriages, issues in the south too despite the passing of the Child's right law in some states e.g. Imo state. |

CoolUsername: You're going to need to show me where I made this claim. My claim has always been that certain states follow the penal code. This is a simple fact. Show me where I said that all Nigerian law is based on the penal code. Are you suggesting I provide you with evidence you claimed Nigerian law is based on the penal code, which is what I contest with you? Perhaps go back and read what you wrote! CoolUsername: OK, child marriage is cool if they are Muslims. Gotcha. That would be according to you and your own limited ability to comprehend. According to me, please include, Muslim, Christian, atheist and pagan in the below, and include "child marriage" along with rape, since there's no difference as far as I am concerned. budaatum: If a democrat or republican or a neutral person rapes anyone I hope they have their raping tool chopped off.
Jail is not good enough, in my opinion. Though, out of mercy and fact I'm not a fan of the death sentence, jail will have to do. Here is some stats about underage marriage in USA. Left to me, whichever party rules in the listed states, be they Democrats, Republicans, Muslim, Christian etc etc etc, should be kicked out so that whatever code that allows it is repealed and replaced with a consent age of 18.

CoolUsername: You can obviously here that I used both terminologies as distinct entities because that is how it works in Nigeria. Just say you didn't know. The fact that the penal code is a part of the criminal code does not tell you that Nigerian law is not based on the penal code as you claimed? Sharia has very limited application even in states that adopt it. One must give written consent before one can be tried under it, and it's decisions can be challenged in the Supreme Court as has been done numerous times. |

One is based on the criminal code and the other is based on the penal code. Can you tell which one is which? 🤔 I guess it's easy to be ignorant to know that Penal Code and Criminal Code are the same thing.

benalvino3: Nigerian Court of Appeals Upholds Sharia Law in High Profile Blasphemy Case
08/17/2022 Nigeria (International Christian Concern) – Nigeria’s Kano State High Court doubled down on a ruling that the Sharia court system can hand down death sentences in blasphemy cases. The decision blurs the line between what can be tried in Sharia court, raising concerns about the implications for religious freedom.
The three-judge panel held that the Kano State Sharia Court has jurisdiction to try blasphemy cases. The ruling comes after the case of Yahaya Aminu Sharif. A 22-year-old singer was sentenced to death on accusations of blasphemy.
Sharif was arrested after a series of audio recordings became public where he appeared to elevate an imam above the Muslim prophet Mohammed. In August 2020, the Kano State Sharia Court found Sharif guilty of blasphemy and sentenced him to death.
However, the court did not allow Sharif legal representation during his trial, so the secular court ruled that the Sharia court must retry Sharif’s case. The order may have appeared positive for Sharif because it allowed him a fair trial. But the order was a green light by a secular court of the Sharia court’s authority to try blasphemy cases and impose religious sentences. And the above is presented by you that Nigerian law is based on Sharia law? I guess your "Math is racist" too, Ben. |

benalvino3: It is irrelevant to you but to those who learn from those clerics and practice their teachings... It is not irrelevant.
Germany, Sweden etc all had rape problems when people with certain beliefs were let into the country with great proportion. I'm very certain I need not point out that Germany and Sweden had rapes before "people with certain beliefs were let into the country with great proportion". https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_in_Germanyhttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_in_SwedenI would understand if the far right propaganda appeals more to you than the facts though.

CoolUsername: Your move You obviously do not understand what you posted or you're trying to play smart thinking one is dumb like you are. First, what you posted does not make any claim that Nigeria law and or the penal code is based on sharia law. Second, even in states where Sharia law is applied, its jurisdiction is limited. Non-Muslims are not subject to it if they do not wish to be. Third, even Muslims in Kano are objecting to the limited implementation of Sharia law, so on what basis do you claim "Nigerian law is based on Sharia law"? Can you implement this your "based on Sharia law" in Lagos or Aba where the law is based on English Law to which even Sharia law in Kano is subject to appeal? There's no shame in admitting you misspoke, but continuing to misspeak in light of contrary evidence just further shows a lack of knowledge! |

Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: 2026 Midterm Elections Live! by budaatum: 12:14pm On Feb 24, 2023 |
CoolUsername: So because you haven't heard of beheading as punishment for a crime, then the penal code isn't based on sharia law. Is that really your argument? OK, so have you ever heard by death by storing?
Or better still, if the penal code isn't heavily based on sharia law them what is it based on?
You don't realize? Could it be that maybe, just maybe you don't know what you're talking about? No, not hearing about beheading as punishment for a crime" is not the reason "the penal code isn't based on sharia law". A simple study of Nigerian law will show you what it is based on, and it is not Sharia law, period. But of course if you know otherwise you can simply provide evidence showing that Nigerian law is based on sharia law instead of asserting baseless claims, or admit it is you who does not know what you are talking about. |

CoolUsername: You do realize that the penal code in Nigeria is heavily based on sharia law, right? No, I don't realise any such nonsense because it is not true. Sharia Law has beheading as the penalty for some crimes but I haven't heard of anyone sentenced to beheading for any crime in Nigeria! There are four distinct legal systems in Nigeria, which include English law, Common law, Customary law, and Sharia Law, but the highest court is based on English Law. |

CoolUsername: Under Islamic law, adulthood is based on puberty. So a lot clerics believe in the saying: "if her age isn't on the clock, then she's ready for the ****". Not that they could all help themselves, though. What "a lot of clerics believe" is irrelevant. You might as well say "a lot of paedophiles believe" and "Not that they could all help themselves", so therefore it must not be illegal, which it is. If a cleric sexually abuses a 2 year old their ass will be in jail when caught! |

Nigerians should take up Ekpa's challenge by posting evidence of their voting so he knows how powerless he is please.
