benalvino3:You "misread your post" a lot Ben, which is why I always say you can't read, just that this time you've admitted your error. Usually, you'd go on for days on end claiming what you misread is what buda said which is very tiring. Hopefully, you'd be more mindful in future. benalvino3:You "don't support" but you "have an exception" because you "recognise the predicament", ben, but you must think you are the only one. I support the woman to make an informed choice and to bear the consequences of her actions. Abortion leaves a lingering scar and is not done lightly. |
benalvino3:Your ignorant understanding of my argument, Ben. Mine is you can't police abortions just as you can not police what two individuals do in their bedroom. But I'm sure you'd fit cameras there just so you can see what they do just as you want to police the wombs of women. |
benalvino3:There you go putting your words in my mouth because you can not read! Ben, abortion is not murder! And it is you the antiabortionist whom we should be asking why you support any abortion if abortion is murder according to you! Ben, you do not understand what you read! |
Maynman:Believing your assumptions about the origin of buda must be very strong indeed. www.nairaland.com/attachments/15378502_9d3e9902ad844513a7119d9407916d2f_jpeg_jpegea7c100420a2f3e8efd563bbfe1d571e www.nairaland.com/attachments/15378501_30acf1a62fca495cb6ab00968c2f3212_jpeg_jpegbdaa636dba45e687865d5b4a9c9410da |
benalvino3:Is it not murder if done early, Ben, or do you just make an exception for early murder? |
benalvino3:Ben, go to school to learn how to understand what you read instead of showing you lack the ability to comprehend! It would help you reason better. |
Maynman: Maynman:
|
Maynman:May! How can you possibly know the origin of my name more than I who choose my name? |
Maynman:Are you not assuming there is a word that buda loves the most, May? Please explain how it could be assumed that buda believes mythology which means: 1 : an allegorical narrative. 2 : a body of myths: such as. a : the myths dealing with the gods, demigods, and legendary heroes of a particular people. b : mythos sense 2 cold war mythology. 3 : a branch of knowledge that deals with myth. |
Maynman:May, I will give you a buda history lesson. It might help with your understanding. The first gods buda learnt about were ancient Greek and Egyptian, and I hopefully don't need to tell you no one teaches, believe Greek and Egyptian gods, not where I started my schooling where early education teachings one to ask what, why, when, where, who and how. The idea that one believes Gods or books was introduced to me in Nigeria and went down like talking rats. Yes I checked if Moses was a real person in a story book, May. I checked because those around me claimed the book was written by a god in heaven and everything in it was real. Thankfully I read, so I read it myself instead of stupidly believing what was claimed by some. And what I found was most telling me to believe hadn't bothered reading the book or couldn't understand the King James they were reading nor had they bothered to check where it came from, nor its history, or the authenticity of its claims etc etc. May, you checked too, I think, unless you want to claim the things you say about the Bible were not discovered in your checking but was placed in your head by an angel. budaatum: |
Maynman:Why do you assume buda believes in mythology, May? Do you really believe buda is so mindless as to not only believe in Yahweh and Christ and the Bible as you repeatedly claim, but also in Cronus and Uranus and Jupiter too? Would you claim I believe Alice if I quote her? budaatum:How about if I quote Aristotle? Does buda believe Aristotle, May?
|
benalvino3:And wasn't that my point? Now go back and read how many times I literally said she can be 9 months pregnant and you and your state may not know so you wouldn't even be looking for her not to talk of catch her. Ben. Homosexuality has been illegal in Nigeria for a while now, but are you aware no one has yet been charged for homosexuality in Nigeria? I bet you think a law against homosexuality stopped anyone being gay just as you think a ban on abortions would stop abortions. |
Maynman:May, I am neither a hut nor a man nor am I poor or old. |
benalvino3:So, a person who wants to abort wants to also kill and steal, Ben? I wonder. Do they kill and steal less if they abort in the 10 weeks you find acceptable I wonder, or is ok to murder a ten week foetus but not an 11 week one because the 10 week fortus is not a person yet? |
benalvino3:Now, imagine me claiming you are commanding what you think. Don't you think it would be absurd to assume you had any such powers as to impose your opinion on anyone? If I want to abort in a timeframe unacceptable in Texas, I just do what has always been done and go abort in a state that has an acceptable timeframe, Ben. It's the United States of America after all, where money does all the talking. |
benalvino3:I was exaggerating when I said longer, ben. Most wouldn't wait longer than 3 months |
benalvino3:Ben. You can have your abortion whenever you want please. It's your body and it's your choice! |
benalvino3:I think murder should not be happening nor should theft, but do you hear anyone tell you buda commanded them not to kill nor steal? The bit about this argument you fail to recognise is that the woman will always "do it with their own accord" if she wants to and there's absolutely nothing you or the state can do about it. She can after all be 9 months pregnant and neither you nor the state may know she is! But I suppose we can introduce government issued licenses to pregnant women so a record can be kept I guess. We can call it a get pregnant licence, and any one without one is illegally pregnant. It would fit nicely with voters Id, I think. |
benalvino3:Sigh! I can have an opinion without imposing it on anyone, Ben, and no one is here claiming buda has told them what they can or can not do except you who don't even have a womb! As I said, she can decide to abort the day before she gives birth if she wants and not much can be done about it, but I'm glad democracy, as in, we the people, generally agree on about 4-6 months, and longer under circumstances that the owner of the body gets to determine. |
benalvino3:I think the English language is a challenge for you. Try harder, Ben. |
benalvino3:It stops when you the owner of the body decides it stops, Ben, that's the meaning of my body my choice. For my body I decide, and for your body you decide. I don't decide for your body and you don't decide for my body. |
Maynman:I had to check before you start claiming it is buda who believes there was a Moses or that an Elohim fathered Yahweh with his wife. It's would be like claiming buda believed Cronus fathered Zeus with his wife Rhea, or that Jupiter, the King of the Gods was fathered by Saturn and his wife Ops. |
benalvino3:I expect that to be your understanding, Ben. Thankfully brainier people are here. |
benalvino3:I said, "should", Ben, open your eyes and see please. And in English, if you are told you should do or not do something, it is usually not considered that you have been dictated to. |
benalvino3:As I said, she can sell it and there's not much you can do about it. You need to imagine how many you don't read about in the papers to understand, I guess. |
benalvino3:Ben, can you not see that it is the woman aborting who I am claiming should decide? That is the meaning of my body my choice, and not your's nor anyone else's Most women would have decided long before the foetus is viable if they want to abort or not, Ben, and the longer they keep it they more likely they'll get to term as you well should know. Still, if she decides to abort up to the day before she gives birth, then her body her choice, though thankfully democracy does not allow such extremes, but nor should it impose some silly unworkable anything less than 3 - 5 months, is my opinion if you care to know instead of making crap up in your head..
|
benalvino3:Ben, nowhere on this earth can anyone force a woman to keep a child she delivered if she don't want to! She can give it to her family, or sell it in a market and you wouldn't know she hasn't got it. benalvino3:So you are not anti-abortion after all, lol. |
benalvino3:You and your lies, ban. Your sidekick posted my view on the subject. Read it. I do not dictate to anyone what they may or may not do with the content of their womb.
|
Maynman:Are we assuming an actual real Moses, May, or one we read about in a book? I had to check before one of us starts accusing the other of believing. I myself don't know if there ever was a real individual called Moses, nor do I have a need to believe there ever was. I just read about him in a book and before books there was a writer, with an intention, and it could not possibly be to make 21st Century me believe when there's so much else I could be doing.
|
BasedUsername:And the state is the people who vote. It's why I love democracy, based. If people vote to go bash babies heads at the bottom of a river and I don't like it I can up sticks elsewhere, or campaign harder against them. Unfortunately, this is about me bashing a foetus that is inside me, which kind of invades on my privacy a little bit too much don't you think? I kind of don't want the content of my womb subjected to democracy is how I see it, they might come for the content of my mind next! I did some research. Abortions have been reducing over the past few decades, and most abort the day or two after, and that's apart from those using barriers to conception. Silly and unpoliceable, is what I think. You might as well ban prostitution, and porn, and homosexuality and guns! |
Maynman:The Hebrew bible itself was redacted, long before it was translated, you'd find. Long before Hebrew became a writing, Egyptian pharoahs (gods in their time) would deface the statues of those they succeed, so nothing new there. It's as it was in the beginning so it is now and shall always be.

Guess you can see why believing is kind of stupid being it's been edited a lot over the millennia. Some might then ask but why was it edited, and what was edited, and how has so much endured, and what effects has it had in societies and even in one's own personal life. It has led you to dig so deep after all and some skills must have been learned along the way, May, and here we are spending so much time and effort challenging one another over what we may understand of it. Thanks for posting this by the way. One should not emulate demons, as a certain James is written to have written.
