I don't blame you for the gap in your knowledge, Maynman. It's not as if Ancient Egypt is on the Nigerian school curriculum. For almost 30 centuries—from its unification around 3100 B.C. to its conquest by Alexander the Great in 332 B.C.—ancient Egypt was the preeminent civilization in the Mediterranean world. From the great pyramids of the Old Kingdom through the military conquests of the New Kingdom, Egypt’s majesty has long entranced archaeologists and historians and created a vibrant field of study all its own: Egyptology. |

Maynman:Remember those Egyptian priests who kept their reading secret so reading it was forgotten? What are gnostics? |
Gooddeed999:Some people don't seem to like being asked questions. |
What are gnostics? What are mystics? |
Jlow2:Na una vote am der now! Abi im com from Mars or Ibadan to govern Una? Hopefully, he will now wake you up to carefully consider whom you elect next time. |
hamzat2003:So, some people want to blackmail we Nigerians? Serves us right for subsidising them! |
Good for him. 2mil for primaries is outrageous, and the withdrawal form is a mockery of democracy! |

basilico:I'm a fan of Formula One. At the last race of last season some magomago happened to deprive race leading Sir Lewis Hamilton of a win and a record 8th Championship. He dusted himself off, and for sake of a better car would have been challenging again this season. Bas, I am not going to go back and forth with you about some stupid bamboo you've been going on about since drumpthfp lost the presidential election and numerous court cases in 2020!
|
basilico:Joe is the President of the United States of America, and if he had stolen it from incombent drumpthfg, it shows how incompetent drumpthfg must have been. |
basilico:Notes, bas? Really, I tried, but found its a rehash of the same kraken and bamboo you've been yelling since drumpthgp lost and which he presented in court and lost again and again and again and again and again. It would appeal to those like you who already believe Biden did not beat drumpthgp, is what I think. A critical mind would see right through its sham. |
basilico:I will when I can get it free as there's no way I'm funding it with my resource before seeing what I'm resourcing especially since it's been reported to not be up to mind used standards. |
benalvino3:A man walking his dog over the weekend found a lorry full of more than 100 boxes of mail in ballots for the upcoming election sitting by a trail on Mars. And I have a link for mine, unlike you! mandogfoundlorryboxesballotsMars.ben |
basilico:No Bas, I have nothing of the sort. What I do have is bas doing his usual qanon and claiming he finally found bamboo in his kraken.
|
Maynman:That's good to know, Mayn. Perhaps put in a bit more effort to get better results. |
Maynman:You really should reflect, Mayn, and read your past posts again. Every thread I've seen you in is you arguing, and when you fail to get your way tantrums seem to ensue. |
feedthenation:Basilico please tell Feedthenation that you would rather trust 2000 Mules. |
benalvino3:The problem here, Ben is his point may not have been clear enough for you and you might have understood one thing "when he clearly says the other". Basically, your misunderstanding can be trusted to be untrue. |
Maynman:As I said, I was not aware that those you "darn" are not being blamed. You could after all have been darning socks. |
Maynman:As in, not on your "bud" anymore? Didn't know it bothered you. It's not as if I am assuming an origin like you are. Is that how I offended you perhaps, that makes you assume an origin for mine? |
Maynman:I must have misunderstood you extolling the virtue of the colonisers or you don't even understand yourself. Maynman: |
Maynman:It is not the colonisers who are to blame for Africans not knowing their "culture and language and traditions", Mayn. And its a pity that you can not appreciate those who promote their deeper (by virtue of the amount of paper they wrote it on and the constant additions and redactions so it evolves) "culture and language and traditions", and learn how to do likewise or better. Egypt had the deepest "culture and language and traditions" at some point. Egypt's "culture and language and traditions" was once so deep that they wrote it in stone that only the priests could read and the people had to worship the gods as those priests dictated. The priests all eventually died off and the secret of reading the writing died off too such that when the Romans and the Greeks arrived in Egypt and asked what was written in stone, the locals said it was written in the language of the gods that no one knew how to read. And no one learnt to reread it until the Europeans worked out to translate it. Judaism avoided that mistake by making it their culture that every male child must learn to read the Torah, which was eventually redacted to include every male and female Jewish person, and which Jesus then made to include everybody, which Christians took literally and opened the schools in the name of church to teach people how to read. I got to say, one innovation was tithes, which paid for the upkeep of the 'school'. We Africans though, West Africa, at least, unfortunately never wrote ours down, so we have nothing to redact or teach to begin with, nor have we found a way to make it pay for itself, except mostly by selling one juju or another to the gullible. And I think its safe to assume we have mostly, in protest, accepted that European "culture and language and traditions" is superior to our ancient "culture and language and traditions", or our parents would have sent us to learn our "culture and language and traditions" instead of the English language we all write in on here. The tussle of understanding would always be fought, as it is written to have been fought in the Garden of Eden, between those who claim the sense is a serpent and those who would use their serpents. But it is very clear that the serpentless are the ones who remain colonised and enslaved for fear that they shall surely die if they dared while those with serpents would be the colonisers. P.s. I do not expect this to make any sense to you Mayn, and did not write it for your benefit. |
basilico:One would have thought your sort would have grown to use your mind and brain by now but that seems to be asking for far too much. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/ap-facts-donald-trump-georgia-united-states-b2070955.html?r=76973

basilico:Kraken, bas. And bamboo. |
benalvino3:Funny enough this is familiar. buda says something that Ben misunderstands then Ben says what Ben misunderstands is what buda said. If his point was not clear enough and "it seemed like he is saying one thing when he clearly says the other", why use that which you clearly do not understand? Are you not aware of the damage it would do your argument when your witness is against you and for your opposition? |
basilico:You hardly ever make sense, bas, to the point I don't read your kraken anymore. |
