This may not be an issue to some people, and I must admit at first it was kind of exciting for me. But of late I cannot help to wonder why it is so and what does it signifies

As far back as I can remember, people tend to address me as SIR OR BOSS
And when I say sir, I mean the big mighty dignified Sir.
When I say people I mean every body that come I contact with me. Be it the young and the old, the big and the small, the rich and the poor. I mean everyone even my director refer to me as Oga.

I remember when I accompanied my director to one of the SS government house every body where addressing me with so much respect that my director have to called me aside and asked me how do I do it. At 32 I was made a site manager in one of the biggest and most successful quarry company in the SS and SE regions. And the funny thing is I am not even a graduate.( a fact that only my director knows) but this I think is because of my hard work and sense of reasoning than anything else. But this sir thing is beginning to make me feel old.

now my question is why do people prefer to address me as Sir or boss even when they don't know a thing about me? Even though I am a simple and down to earth kind of guy and how do I stop them from addressing me as sir or Boss.
