Hardeysolution: Why are we all painting GEJ as a hero when he didn't do anything significant? He is a hero? Why?
If we call him a hero, is it because he could be insensitive to the cry of his people? Is it because he asked the BringBackOurGirls protesters to go to Sambisa forest? I see no reason we should celebrate the man that has few days to go and we are all consoling him with praises.
My teacher went for an interview and wasn't picked, she accepted fate, i guess she should be praised as well! Why didnt we praise Fayemi for conceding defeat? Why didnt we praise Dapo Abiodun of APC in ogun state for losing to the PDP and conceding defeat? Why didnt we praise these people?
Many of you continually say he conducted Credible election? Is he INEC? He didnt allow people to die, is he God/Force? Wy not praise our forces? Is he the people of Nigeria? Nigerians deserve the praises not Him. Igbos alone will want their man this praised after years of incompetency and abortive government. Nigeria needs revival and not going about celebrating the known failure. I will never praise this man and will never allow anybody around me to praise him.
Mandela is a hero? For conceding defeat? Heroes are heroes for doing something worth celebrating!
By his speech, he didnt allow violence, are u telling me, by PDP's speech and refusal to sign the result, violent can't sprout out?
Nigerians, we don't need to argue on this man's issue but as for me, i will never regard him as a hero cos he didnt worth being called one! Your title says Jega. I believe it's an error. Unfortunately, this is how heroes are made... Most of the 'heroes' in history did very shitty sh1t. But because they did ONE notable stuff, they are remembered differently. So even if you run chains of baby-grinding factories. In one magical stroke. You can transform yourself into an angel of light - by setting up stuff like the Nobel prize or becoming a patron of the arts. That's the way the world has always worked. |

It is very easy to win the masses over. Especially, Nigerians.
A few calculated stances like this and he would have been one of the most popular president's ever...
Had he given an immediate 'command' to the NIS dudes to refund the N1,000 they collected. Reined in his wife, bought some REALLY nice looking trains, fired people who became unpopular in his cabinet.
Made a show of reducing the presidential fleet, etc.
He would have been the most LOVED president ever. |

Beamborla: Very funny...
Both Buhari and GEJ got a good number of votes from the SW. The SE failed him by not coming out in numbers to vote him just like the North did for Buhari.
GEJ got more vote in the North more than Buhari did in the SE.
The SE wants the SW to vote for their candidate by calling them all the derogatory names in this world. Yet, the SW still gave him their votes.
And here is another thread just to insult the SW cos your candidate did not win... Always looking for whom to blame for everything. Everything about you is without flaws... una Weldon.
The worthless and lazy asslickers are now responsible for your misfortune. It's such a shame if the worthless SW can make you lose smth so dear to you.
Maybe when you guys learn to do unto others what you want to be done to you, you would see people around you in time of needs.
Your hatred for the Fulanis made you not to vote GMB and because according to you, the SW and not his poor performance is responsible for your failure, you would give your vote to North against the SW just to prove your point.
When would you stop hating and revenging? Wise young lady. |

I'm as apolitical as they come, but won't say I didn't enjoy the titilating drama of the past few months.
I was prompted to make this post after reading several comments about how Gen. Buhari's victory is a 'victory for the masses'.
But truth be told; nothing much has really changed - so to speak.
GMB didn't win, but the powerful sponsors behind him.
The old guard simply shed their old skin and transformed into the APC.
PDP was a vehicle the powerful north used, and has served its purpose. And as soon as they vamoosed, it crumpled like a pack of cards.
Should APC get tainted tomorrow, or become 'unusuable' - for whatever reason - they'll just transmorgrify into XYZ party. Do the dance, and still waltz into power, again!
Elections are not 'won' by the masses, but by the powers that be who annoint candidates, and shape public opinion. |
