MrJavaS: Guys hear my matter patiently
I was very close to a course mate of mine since 100 level (we are now in 400 level). I used to be interested in her romantically but she wasn't reciprocating so I gave up. She said herself that she considers me as just a friend. Then one day she posted the picture of her friend (in a different department). I saw the picture and said the girl is beautiful. She then said that if I like the girl she can give me her contact.
I said it's a bit inappropriate but she still gave me the contact (but said I shouldn't mention her name). I went ahead to chat the girl up but she ended up blocking me on WhatsApp.
I went ahead and further tried to convince the girl that I'm not a threat to her on telegram. That I'm a close acquaintance of a friend of hers. She went on ranting that her friend shouldn't have given me her contact without her consent. I told her to please not be angry with her friend.
Later I explained all that happened to my coursemate (who gave me her contact) and since that time she has been cold towards me. I told her I'm very sorry for my actions but she insisted it's time we part ways.
What should I do?
Please don't mention that I should focus on my books. I'm very serious academically and I've maintained a high CGPA for 4 years. But still life is not all about academics. Go where you are treated best. Stop sending those who don't send you. |

lexy2014: World powers don't need to have d urge to destroy nigeria. D urge is already inherent in d country There are fault-lines in every country. These guys have analysts that know Nigeria more than you and I. And it is not in their strategic interests for Nigeria to become a China. You might think we arrived at our current state all by ourselves, but we didn't. |

Evii: It can only be possible if our leaders allows it. What we're passing through from the western country as a nation isn't slavering but I call it Self Imposed Slavery b'cos our leaders give them that opportunity to do(exploit) that. How can african(Ghana) be the richest country in the world for cocoa and africans allows the west to explore it (rebrand it) and call it english chocolate.
Nigerian leaders have to wake up to their responsibilities. Power is power my brother. All these covert services what do you suppose they do. I'm sure they individually coerce govt officials to get favorable terms for their companies and interests. If they threaten to fvck you up like they did Ibori, you'll play ball. |

mulcini: No amount of world power backup can allow Fulani to succeed in their fulanisation agenda if Nigerians collectively stand up against them. If the goal is distabilization, they don't need the Fulani or anyone to ultimately succeed. You don't understand how much power and influence the US for example wields. If they want Nigeria to go to hell by next month – without even coming here – only God can save us. Also, I doubt a country like France, going by their past and current behaviour in Africa, will want to see an ascendant Nigeria. |

Romance › Re: Why Are Some Nigerian Girls Expecting Us To Be Simps For Love? by BuddhaPalm(m): 9:04pm On Mar 23, 2021 |
romanticgod: Would go straight to the point.
So I started dating my girlfriend few months ago. We both reside outside Nigeria as students. I live and study in a city four hours away from her. Before I asked her out, I had some female admirers including the whites. But I chose her because she never gave me the 'attention-seeking attitude' prior to our relationship. I understand that i have this personality of not wanting to spend too much time on chats and phone calls but because of my understanding of sacrifice, I compromise for her sake. I also cut off funny and flirty conversations with all my female admirers and declined mere friendship visits from them. Irrespective, she puts up an attitude when they randomly call me. Mind you, she receives calls from her male admirers and when i question her about it she goes defensive saying that they are the ones disturbing her. Oh yes, i understand that but why spend long hours with them on calls and chats? She says it's because she is bored and lonely because I don't reach out to her regularly. This is the same girlfriend I have sacrificed several nights I don't joke with (because i love studying at night) and I have made offer to cater for her fare whenever it is possible for her to visit me. Due to the nature of my programme, unlike hers that is flexible, I cant travel to visit her always.
The recent act of hers that made me create this thread was that she reluctantly told me on phone that a guy asked her for a walk together and she doesn't know what to do. Seriously? Because of her past allegations that I take things too serious at times, I told her to go ahead.
Is she making me a simp for love knowing very well she would feel unhappy if I grant such request from a lady? The thing with many girls is that they are not honest negotiators. On the surface, you both have implicitly agreed to be exclusive...attention, sex, flirting and all. You as a gentleman has already agreed to abide by these terms, but she hasn't. She will do what she already wants to do, then blame it on you. Don't judge girls by their excuses and rationalizations. Judge them by their ACTIONS only. A woman's promises are written on ice... The best thing is not to have these "agreements" that the other party will not abide by. Your are still a young man, so enjoy your youth. I can assure you, walks is not the only thing our princess will be taking...or has been taking. |

New York has approximately 20m people and their 2020 budget was $177 Billion. Money talks bro. |

Facebook answers to the laws of countries, especially the US. If you have a platform without some form of moderation, other companies will refuse to do business with you. Ask Parler and Gab. If banks, AWS (& co), Google Play Store, App Store, plus advertisers refuse to do business with you, your social media company is toast. |
