exlink10: One of the All Progressives Congress (APC) senators currently in the Green Chamber has been in the business of displaying his lifestyle for all to see. While he is proud of flaunting his wealth, the masses are seeing it from another angle.
Senator Dino Melaye representing the good people of Kogi West, has previously displayed his wealth, setting tongues wagging. However, he seems to be Progressives as he has just displayed Progressives sign of Progressives good fortune: customized champagne. - See more at: http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/06/apc-senators-stupendous-display-of.html#sthash.RYX6DRUo.dpuf He's actually in the Red chambers, it's Reps members that occupy the Green Chambers. Politics › Re: Finally, Profcorruption Is Leaving Nairaland by Bugatie(m): 7:47am On Jun 15, 2015 |
ProfCorruption: I deactivated this handle once, sometimes last year or so after my laptop was taken from me at gun point in downtown Miami and there was evidence those miscreants were tampering with my info. I adopted another handle, sturborness, which is now rested because I lost it to the great data loss. That data loss, miraculously, brought back my Profcorruption handle. Fortunately, I had recovered my laptop before the resurrection of Prof Corruption, so I decided to live with its exhumation.
Also, I deliberately left Nairaland a few weeks to the general election because I just couldn't stomach the glaring bias of the moderators, including the owner. I had hoped that with the elections over, there would be a semblance of normality and perhaps intelligent contributions would return. Well, that's not the case. I think Nairaland has so much changed that the difference wouldn't be lost on those who experienced or perhaps themselves made intelligent contributions some years back. What we have now is not the real thing as it used to be; it's now more of a shadow, an ugly one at that.
I am not a big fan of philistinism, petty or idle talks, someone with large eyeball, 50 thousand pounds wrist watch etc., husband snatching fooleries. I am a political junkie who likes debating policy issues, exploring implications of political moves, locally or internationally. Unfortunately, philistinism is on the rise and continue to dominate not just the home page but also every sections of Nairaland. It is very tough these days to see just ONE good thread to make contributions. So, it doesn't worth staying any longer.
Bottom line, Profcorruption is gone for good. I would adopt another method to air my views. Any issue I feel strongly about, I would write a piece and get it published or I might set up a blog where my thoughts could be shared. Ehyaa,,, your handle dies but your manhood lives on. |

DaBullIT: Nothing , As you would all say , Arboki no dey hear word and i know because there are plans to restructure the said allocation
cut excesses of the ND and SS and of course End subsidy fraud , these and various measures will help realize funding for all affected states and once again you will realize how dumb the immediate past administration was
And for the Record, Aregbe on today's punch has promised to pay workers before 30th June, i propose you follow that news so you can attack aregbe's person if he fails to keep his promise Cut excess of SS allocation?hmmm Bros if those guys catch you ehh. These are the states that contribute bulk of the nation's income being distributed to your other states and it's only fair they get something extra. What I can take out from your advice is that states/FG cut down unnecessary expenditures like building of the world tallest drum. |

DaBullIT: Lets say Osun state is a bad example . which is a very dumb idea, Aregbesola's schemes helped a lot of people , students and parents , bus, feeding , money for the old and aged , all of which worked through his first term until GEJ decided to ruin the state's allocation
What will it take to convince you people that GEJ ruined Osun's allocation
In all the oil crash , GEJ was able to afford 2 trillion for his campaign but he cut osun's allocation from 4.5 Billion to 1.5 Billion
with a better and more experienced leader at the top , i think all those plans will help Nigerians
but what do i know ? What's stopping the new Buhari govt from increasing the allocation back to 10b? Hypocrites |

Politics › Re: Obasanjo, Yar’adua, Jonathan Ruined Power Sector – Osinbajo by Bugatie(m): 8:14am On Jun 14, 2015 |

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo yesterday attributed the deplorable power situation in the country to dubious awards of contracts by previous administrations. Various contracts for power projects were awarded by the administrations of Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Umaru Yar’Adua and Goodluck Jonathan over the last 16 years.
Under Obasanjo, a probe of the power sector by the House of Representatives ended on a controversial note. Osinbajo, who made the declaration in Abeokuta, said large-scale corrupt practices in the contract awards for power generation, distribution and transmission were responsible for the collapse of the sector. He said these while delivering a lecture titled, ‘Nigerian economy and the future’ at the 10th anniversary of Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The Vice-President, who stated that several billions of dollars had been invested in Nigeria’s power sector over the years, declared that the sector needs total overhauling to stabilise and boost the nation’s dwindling economy.
According to him, Nigeria needs more than 10,000 megawatts to stabilise economic growth but the current capacity of power transmission lines cannot distribute more than 5,000 megawatts. Osinbajo said, “Unfaithfulness to awards of contracts and execution of contracts being awarded are the major challenges. Several contracts in that regards have been awarded several years back but have not been completed.
“What is being produced now is less than 3,000 MW. Our transmission grid today can only transmit 5,000 MW and we need to improve on transmission capacity to transmit enough power needed to stabilise economy. That is why private investors have to increase capital investment in power sector.” He said the 10 per cent Gross Domestic Product promised by President Muhammadu Buhari during the campaign can only be realised with significant improvement in the power sector.
The vice-president noted that the non-availability of gas had adversely affected power supply but assured that the Federal Government would ensure the completion of gas pipelines that had been abandoned for years. Osinbajo, who said the current power sector privatisation covers only the distribution aspect, noted that the All Progressives Congress-led administration would consider the privatisation of power transmission which is still under the control of the Federal Government.
He assured that government would ensure maximum protection of pipelines in order to improve the power situation in the country, adding that transparency would be the Buhari-led administration’s watchword. He, however, hinted that some tough decisions would have to be taken to put the country back on track in line with the APC’s manifestos. He said, “Insurgency and instability of government are major setbacks, especially in the agricultural sector. Agriculture contributes 24 per cent to Nigeria GDP but the 24 percent is under threat because of the insurgency in the North- East.
“The militancy in the south has also reduced oil production significantly and that is why any form of extremism must be put down not only because of the economy but for the unity and peace of the country and that is why all the recent initiatives are important because we must deal with the question of economy. “In the petroleum sector, vandalism also contributes in no small measure to the drop in the output of the sector. 400, 000 barrels are stolen on daily basis while countries like Ghana only survive on less than 150, 000 barrels. This commissioner will not respect himself. If Tanoids catch you ehh |

barcanista: APC fans and supporters of Muhammadu Buhari have been running from thread to thread rebuking pro-PDP/GEJ supporters for calling Muhammadu Buhari #BabaOneChance and #DauraDullard. It is hypocritical that these same people were at the front to hail and praise their leaders whenever they haul abuse on then President Jonathan and his office. They were very active in the insults and abuse of the exPresident and his wife till the last day he bowed out of power honorably. I don't have time to publish their comments, but I have taking pains to remind them and others on how their leaders insulted and bullied exPresident Jonathan while he was in office (even without provocation).
APC Leader Bola Tinubu: Jonathan is Clueless “The cluelessness of the current government(Jonathan) needs no announcement. Their incompetencies need no contestation. It is writ large in the policy somersaults, misspeak and economic and security malaise now prevalent." Bola Ahmed Tinubu (April 2013)
APC exChairman Bisi Akande: Jonathan is not thinking “I have my reasons not to admire President Goodluck Jonathan. I have not found him to be a serious-minded leader. Jonathan is Nigeria’s problem today. He is not a thinking leader. “He has reduced governance to kindergarten level. He is not serious-minded.” Bisi Akande, Fmr APC Chairman (Aug 10, 2013)
Lai Muhammed to Jonathan: Go To Court If Insulted... "Go to court if you feel insulted and libelled by Kindergarten presidency" Lai Muhammed, APC Spokesman (Aug 12, 2013)
APC Chief el Rufai: Jonathan is Useless "President Jonathan is lazy, docile, hopeless and useless" Nasir El rufai (Nov 9, 2013)
APC Rotimi Amaechi: Tried To Pitch Rivers People Against Abians/Jonathan “Is the President or his wife from Abia State? Why do they want us to suffer? If President Jonathan comes back to power in 2015, Rivers State economy will crash.” Rotimi Amaechi, (Oct 10, 2014)
There are loads of others but I decided to bring these out for the sake of posterity. It is on record that APC/ACN introduced the politics of insults and abuse. It is immoral for them to complain and accuse others of disrespecting Buhari when they haven't shown any sign of remorse for their deed. I urge them to bear whatever name pro-PDP and Nigerians call President Muhammadu Buhari. Are they not all hypocrites? From Cramjones to Lier Mohammed Karma is a western biatch |

Sheriffc: This is it...Let the US have its first Female President....
2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton makes official campaign announcement in 'the first big event of her campaign' in New York Hillary Clinton has launched the first major rally of her campaign as a presidential candidate on a sunny Saturday afternoon on New York's Roosevelt Island . Almost seven years to the day since Mrs Clinton conceded defeat to Barack Obama in 2008, she addressed supporters as the overwhelming favourite to be the Democratic candidate for president in 2016. Her husband Bill and daughter Chelsea were due to join her onstage for the first time in this campaign. The choice of Roosevelt Island appeared deliberate - a thin strip of land named after one of the most important Democratic presidents of the 20th century. But while she holds vast leads over her three Democratic challengers, Mrs Clinton's campaign has been anxious to dampen any talk of an easy win and discourage complacency among her voters. Robby Mook, Mrs Clinton's data-driven campaign manager, sent an email to supporters warning "there will be no landslides or blowouts" in either of the key early voting states of New Hampshire or Iowa. "A win is a win and we will fight hard to have it"

Nigerian issues are too much on his mind to start reading current affairs about foreign countries like they're gods,if Obama says Lagos is a Northern part of Nigeria, will Americans start laughing at him? Hell no,because he has America on his mind than watching out for some 3rd world country, same applies to Buhari, what is really important to us is what he said and his promises,we should be thankful he made moves unlike the former President, many Nigerians are just idi.ots, they just laugh at anything,no one knows it all,you that's laughing at him now,no matter how knowledgeable you are,you definitely have something you'd say that some people would laugh at,so I see nothing funny about what Buhari said Just shut up sir!
