Politics › Re: See The Billionaire Whose Earnings In One Day Equals Debt Of All Nigerian States by Bugatie(m): 4:17pm On Jun 25, 2015
gbolakpine:
Sources say, the 36 states of Nigeria have an estimated total debt which include unpaid salaries, of N658 billion, which is about $3.3 billion. This figure has turned out to be a huge burden to a country like Nigeria, weighed down by revenue shortfalls, under-development and leakages.

On another end to Spanish billionaire, Amancio Ortega, Europe’s richest man and second richest man in the world, it is all in a day’s job, or rather, just part of the day’s takings.

According to source, on Monday, the billionaire added $3.3 billion to his fortune, as shares in Inditex, owner of Zara, the world’s largest clothing retailer, rose 3.9 percent.

The Spanish billionaire’s gain was $500 million more than the combined increase recorded by everyone else among the world’s 10 richest people tracked by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The rise caps a surging performance for Ortega in the first half of this year.

His fortune has risen by $11billion to $72billion, an 18 percent rise, compared to the slight decline in the fortunes of Bill Gates, the world’s richest man, and Warren Buffett, the third-wealthiest person on earth.

A Bloomberg report noted that while Ortega still trails Gates’s $86 billion net worth, his fortune has increased 80 per cent in the past three years, double the growth rate of the Microsoft co-founder.

Politics › Re: Buhari’s ADC Orders DSS Operatives Out Of Presidential Villa by Bugatie(m): 9:30am On Jun 25, 2015
wolesmile:
The inter agency rivalry between the Department of State Services and the Nigerian Army came to head, yesterday, as the Aide de Camp to the President, Lt. Col Abubakar Lawal ordered personnel of the DSS out of the villa.

The incidence which happened at the residence of the President at the Presidential Villa was extended to all other points that had been manned by the personnel of the DSS.

DSS OPEARTIVESBut the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, said what happened was a realignment of security around the President which entailed that members of the armed forces would man the inner perimeter of the President security while operatives of the DSS would man the outer perimeter.

It will be recalled that since assuming office as the President, there has been an intense rivalry between DSS personnel and the army over who is to provide close body security to the president.

Some members of the armed forces were drafted from the Infantry Corps to the villa after the inauguration of President Buhari to man all the strategic points at the villa, a move that was resisted by the DSS personnel who had constitutionally provided close body protection to the President.

The issue, however, came to a head yesterday evening when the ADC to the president ordered members of the DSS at the Presidential Villa to hand over to men of the Nigerian Army.

The directive, however, almost caused an altercation between the army and men of the DSS whose chain of command is different.

It took the intervention of the Chief Security Officer who directed his men to “stand down,” a euphemism for complying with the directive of the ADC.

According to a soldier who was present at the incidence, “the ADC directed that they should hand over to us and leave the villa. We have now taken over fully as directed by the ADC and we are in charge.”

Already, military personnel have taken over all the strategic points at the villa with a firm instruction that no DSS personnel should be allowed into the villa.

This is the first time that the DSS which has the professional capability and capacity would be striped of its constitutional responsibility of providing close bodyguard protection to the President and his immediate family.

But reacting to Vanguard enquiry, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Adesina said the action was part of a realignment of the security apparatus around the President.

According to him, what happened is a realignment of security personnel from various services, saying: ”Rumours that personnel of the Department State Services have been expelled from the Presidential Villa are unfounded. President Muhammadu Buhari has given no such order.

Romance › Re: Here’s Everything You Should Expect When Moving In With Your Boyfriend by Bugatie(m): 7:36am On Jun 25, 2015
boboLIL:
Here’s everything you should expect when moving in with your boyfriend..

Moving in with your boyfriend is a colossal step in any relationship.

It’s the first time you’re truly morphing both your lives under one roof, with no escape.

I’ve been living with my boyfriend for three years now, and I thought I’d share some insight on the reality of what it’s like to live with the man you love.

Ladies, if you’re about to move in with your man, let me begin by saying it entails more than just picking decorative bathroom towels and finding block letters of your initials.

Sure, both of those things are imperative, but you also have to learn to how hold in your farts for an extended period of time.

(Don’t worry, it’s just a temporary requirement until he realizes breaking the lease will cost much more than breaking up with you.)

What I’m trying to say is, worry less about which floor lamp you’re going to buy and more about the fact you’re about to share a home with someone who has testicles.

Just like anything else, living with your boyfriend has its pros and cons. I’ve listed them below so you know what you’re getting yourself into.

Pro: He’ll be your live-in handyman.

Assuming your boyfriend has two hands and isn’t a complete slowpoke, you’ll never have to worry about calling someone to hang a picture or repair the toilet.

The best part is, fixing things makes men feel worthy and heroic, so really you’re just being a caring girlfriend.

Con: It’s gonna get hairy.

I’m not going to feed you bullsh*t and pretend I don’t shed — I’ve been known to clog some drains in my day (from the hair on my HEAD) — but nothing compares to male hair grooming.

At least once a week, my poor sink looks like a porcupine.

The question always remains: Is it from his face or his balls? I guess some things are best left undiscovered.

Pro: He’ll be your bedtime bodyguard.

My boyfriend sleeps closest to the door; this way, if we have an intruder, he can fight the person off while I escape through the window.

Con: He’ll be a “Real Housewives” heckler.

I’m obsessed with Bravo. I enjoy watching thoughtless, mind-numbing reality television after a long day at work — that’s how I unwind.

When my boyfriend comes home and sees I’m on the couch watching “Real Housewives,” he acts as if I’m an unemployed crackhead.

He’ll be like, “Your girl Teresa is trash.” I’m like, first of all, this is “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and second of all, Teresa has been incarcerated for six months — have some respect!

Also, Andy Cohen owns my soul, so I couldn’t stop watching even if I wanted to.

Pro: He’ll be the Chairman of Chores.

When living with a friend, you can’t be like, “Yo, do the dishes” because she’d be like, “Um, no, go f*ck yourself.”

But when your roommate is your boyfriend, you can (graciously) ask him to put the dishes away, take out the trash and even air dry your thongs!

Con: His fingerprints will be all over your top-shelf toiletries.

Men are lazy. Let me elaborate: When your boyfriend runs out of his body wash, he is going to use your $28 Bliss Body Butter Scrub.

Oh, and it doesn’t end there. Girls, if you buy fancy, expensive shampoo, tell him it will turn his hair blonde if he keeps using it. Works like a charm.

I apologize in advance if this article has made you reconsider moving in with your man. Living with anyone is difficult because we’re all undeniably strange creatures with even stranger habits.

The key to successfully living with your other half is being able to accept all the weird sh*t he or she does behind closed doors and still love that person unconditionally.

If you can do that, chances are, you could probably spend the rest of your lives together.
Dont just move in with him if you're not ready to give him some space at intervals
Culture › Re: Betrayal!!! How To Tell If She Have Had Sex With Someone Else by Bugatie(m): 6:50am On Jun 25, 2015
zumen:
Did you know that just by walking down the street, or across the office, people may be able to figure out that you’ve gotten laid? Because having a vaginal orgasm does more than just put a little pep in your step. It actually causes you to walk differently, with a longer stride and a greater pelvic rotation. In a European study, trained sexologists (nice job title) were able to pick out, with an 81 percent accuracy, which women had an orgasm just by watching them walk.

But that’s not the only way someone can tell if a woman has had sex. Here are a few others:

The Glow:

There’s a scientific reason for us getting the flushed in the cheeks look after sex — more blood flow — but what about that aura of calm that seems to float around us after the fact? It happens. Recently, my husband and I went on a post-coital grocery store trip and ran in to some friends. The wife remarked to me, “You’re glowing,” with a little wink and a nod.

The Cat Who Eat The Canary Grin:
This is also known as the Smirking Smile and if you see a woman looking sideways with this look on her face, you’ll know, yep, she just got laid. She has a secret that’s making her go through her day with a sense of fulfillment. Because, seriously, nobody is that happy unless they just had sex with a happy ending.

The Wet Spot:
I know this is gross but getting seminal moisture leaking through to your pants can be an unfortunate byproduct of having sex, at least if you don’t use a condom or your partner doesn’t pull out. And it’s not one of the good ways you would want someone to be able to tell that you recently had sex. Wearing a pad post-intercourse can help prevent this — just saying’.

The Unflappably Buoyant Mood:
A post-intercourse rise in endorphins can give you a fresh perspective on the annoyances of every day life: Go ahead, honk at me because I’m going too slow. Cut in front of me in the check-out line at the store. And let my kids scream at each other while they argue over who gets to sit in the front seat on the way to school. I Don’t. Care. Thanks to a little early morning sunrise surprise, nothing is going to put me in a bad mood.

Politics › Re: Like-minds Senators Reject Lawan, Akume As Senate Leaders by Bugatie(m): 12:01pm On Jun 21, 2015
JEGA01:
Ahead of the resumption of plenary in the Senate this week, senators loyal to Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has vowed to resist alleged moves by the All Progressives Congress, APC, national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and other party leaders to impose Senators Ahmad Lawan and George Akume as the Senate leader and deputy, respectively.

Speaking with journalists on Saturday in Abuja, Senators Danjuma Goje and Ahmed Sani-Yerima specifically declared that the plans by the leadership of the APC to fill the remaining four principal-officer positions with ranking members of the Senate Unity Forum was totally unacceptable.

The Senators Unity Forum comprises loyalists of Lawan, who lost in his Senate Presidency bid to Saraki. Leadership positions in the Senate yet to be filled include; Senate Leader; Deputy Senate Leader; Senate Chief Whip; and Deputy Chief Whip.

Following reports that the APC leadership had perfected an arrangement which would see Lawan emerging as the Senate leader and Senator George Akume as his deputy, Senator Sani-Yerima, a former Senate Deputy Minority Leader, and Goje, a former governor of Gombe State, insisted that the pro-Saraki Like Minds senators would resist imposition of principal officers on the chamber.

The Senate Unity Forum, which has the support of Tinubu, was also said to have picked Professor Olusola Adeyeye (Osun) as the Senate Chief Whip, while Senator Abu Ibrahim from Katsina State would be his deputy. But Sani-Yerima maintained that the election of the four principal officers was the exclusive right of the zonal caucuses in the Senate.

While describing the move by the APC leadership as illegal, he noted that “there can never be imposition of candidates on the chamber by the party leadership”

His words, “As far as I’m concerned, the party cannot impose leadership on us. It is unconstitutional and against the rules of the Senate.

“The Senate Majority Leader; Deputy Majority Leader; Senate Chief Whip; Deputy Chief Whip were elected by their zonal caucuses in the Seventh Senate and the case of the Eighth Senate cannot be different.

“The best thing the party can do, given the circumstances, is to give us directives. Any attempt to impose will be resisted and this will further divide the party.”

He insisted that the party must follow due process, stressing that the Senate Presidency of Senator
Bukola Saraki was committed to protecting the interests of President Muhammadu Buhari.

He said, “We should follow due process.
Allowing the party to impose a leadership on the Senate President is to make him to fail because he cannot be forced to work with his rivals.

“We are committed to giving President Buhari protection in the Senate. What we are doing is definitely not against the President.”

Also speaking, Senator Goje warned the party against imposition of candidates, adding that such a move would further polarise the party.

“By trying to impose another set of leaders on the National Assembly is to cause further crisis in the party.
It will complicate matters and generate further crisis in the National Assembly,” he said.

Responding on behalf of the pro-Lawan senators, Senator Kabir Marafa, described the argument of the pro-Saraki senators as incorrect and argued that the choice of other principal officers who are not elected on the floor of the Senate remained the sole business of the party leadership.

According to him, “It is not possible for the executive of the party at the zonal levels to determine who will be made the Senate Leader, the Deputy Senate Leader, Chief Whip, and the Deputy Chief Whip. It has never happened and it won’t happen this time around.

“The party executive must determine all the occupants of the four principal offices. The party will write the Senate President. That is the tradition. It cannot be done at the zonal level. We must follow due process.”

Romance › Re: 5 Things You Should Know About Your Partner Before Marrying Them by Bugatie(m): 11:43am On Jun 21, 2015
Jarizod:
1. How are they with money?

Money is often cited as one of the most common things couples fight about. And when you're married this doesn't go away. If anything it can get worse if your finances become entwined. It's important to know how your partner handles money and what their attitudes toward it are. It's worth talking about whether you want to combine your finances through joint bank accounts or by filing taxes as a couple. Will your debts also be married? Money can't buy you love — but it can mess it up.

N. B-make sure you don't marry a "magarizer" cheesy

2.How do they express anger?

Everyone gets angry and upset sometimes and all couples are bound to fight. So it helps to know how your partner reacts to being upset. Do they freak out and yell or sulk in silence? Knowing this will help ease tensions when things get heated, and it'll just give you a sense of how to gauge their mood and adjust accordingly.

N. B - Don't marry someone that beats you even in courtship undecided

3. Do they have any dreams or career ambitions that marriage might forestall?

For all its splendor, marriage sometimes means foreclosing on some of the goals or dreams you have. It's important to know what your partner doesn't want to give up on, whether it's traveling across Europe or going to graduate school, and how it's likely to affect your marriage.

4. What is their spiritual inclination?

As people get older, religion and spirituality often becomes more important to them. And as we all know, relgious differences can be a major source of conflict between anyone. But it doesn't have to be. You just need to have reasonable expectations and know what you're getting into. Are you comfortable with your partner being religious if you're not? Or, if you like to pray and they don't, how will that affect your life together?

5. How will you handle the division of labor?

Will one person work and the other stay home? Will you divide up household chores evenly? There's no right or wrong way. Just be clear about what each of you expects.

Cc Lalasticlala, Ishilove
Nice points, but brov issues of marriage are never written in books otherwise you'll read and get tired.

Politics › Re: Amaechi Squandered N800m On Indian Consultants, Says Wike - PM NEWS by Bugatie(m): 11:06am On Jun 21, 2015
Naijaland12:
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has accused his predecessor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi of frittering away N800 million naira for the payment Indian consultants running Nne Kurubo Model School at Ebubu-Eleme.
Wike disclosed this in an interactive session with journalists in Government House.
He said because of government’s indebtedness to the Indian consultants, the Nne Kurubo Model Secretary School, the school was shut down.
Wike also alleged that Amaechi paid N9billion to consultants to award scholarship to Rivers state students overseas when the state has a Scholarship Board duly charged with the job.
He wondered how the former Governor could have run an administration driven by consultants without plunging the state into the debt it found itself.
Wike debunked the claim that Amaechi left N7 Billion naira in the state coffers.
He wondered why Amaechi did not use the money, if available, to pay Pensioners, settle the allowances owed Rivers students on scholarship, pay the workers of the disbanded TIMARIV and others.
Governor Wike also dismissed the allegations in the social media that former President Goodluck Jonathan paid him N108 Billion.
He said heard it but refused to respond because the allegation was spurious and unintelligent.
“People should should not think that Nigerians are unintelligent people to believe such tale as if N108Billion is such such money that can be paid without a trace. We must show some sense of intelligence. Was the money paid to me before I was sworn in Was it in cash? Did the former President have the power to sign out that kind of money?”Governor Wike quizzed.
On the N10 Billion naira loan he recently secured through the Zenith Bank he explained that the loan was tied to specific projects that were beneficial to the state but abandoned by the previous administration. The projects include; Ilabuchi road linking Eagle Island, the Law faculty at the Rivers University of Science and Technology, Akpajo/Woji Road, Rumuepricom-Rumuolumeli road and roads in Diobu,Eleparawon.
That figure is hugely understated,

The Indian consultants were paid so much you begin to wonder what exactly they needed the money for, and when you compare it with the meagre peanuts they paid their teachers, you just weep.
Politics › Re: Buhari Is Set To Reduce The Number Of Ministers To 19 by Bugatie(m): 10:59am On Jun 21, 2015
CodecJay:
President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly accepted the transition committee’s recommendation to reduce the number of ministries from 42 to 19.

The decision allegedly comes following three weeks of consultations with political leaders both inside and outside Nigeria, Vanguard reports.

The committee had previously recommended the move because “portfolios of ministries are not responsive to all the major critical national challenges.”
By slashing some and merging of some other ministries, Buhari plans to save cost and make the remaining departments more effective and responsive to the needs of Nigerians.
Presidency source also disclosed that the number of the federal government agencies had been trimmed in line with the policy of the administration. According to is, no fewer than 50 of the MDAs that were not backed by relevant laws might be scrapped and their staff moved into relevant departments to save cost.

“But the point being made is that relevant MDAs that will exist under the present administration must be those backed by laws. What that means is that the era of doing things the wrong way to please certain persons in positions of power is over.”

The source said that the Ministry of Aviation and relevant agencies would be subsumed with Inland Waterways; the Ministry of Agriculture – with the Ministry of Water Resources; the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission would be merged with the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission.
Some ministries will be run by senior ministers while the others will be managed by junior ministers to save cost, it was mentioned.

President Buhari is believed to announce some key appointments next week. He attributed the delay to the late receipt of the report from Goodluck Jonathan’s committee. The APC leader further explained that he needed time to carefully study the document in order to chose the best candidates for the positions.

We just need action,

The scrapping /merging of some ministries, agencies and departments is not a new thing again as the recommendations were already on GEJ's desk before he left office.

All we need is a change that will improve what we already have on ground, improvements power supply, security, road infrastructure, etc

Yes,

Assuming you have three different accounts with three different banks, say personal account with First bank, a corporate account with Zenith(of which you are one of the signatories) and maybe another account say in your maiden name with GTB, all you need do is register BVN on one of the accounts and take your BVN no to other banks for BVN update. He also inherited the case against exMinister Femi Fani Kayode, exGov Ali Modu Sheriff and immediate past Governor of Jigawa state Sule Lamido(and his sons). The case of Sylva is well publicised. Murtala Nyako was impeached for corruption and fled the country in 2014. He was declared wanted by EFCC in Feb 4, 2015 along with his son. The exGov "magestically" returned to Nigeria 24hrs after Buhari took over. He reported himself to EFCC, drank coffee with the commission staff and came out smiling. He has been granted "administrative bail" by the same commission that declared him wanted 5months ago. His son Abdulaziz was also declared wanted in Feb for N15billion fraud and was arrested in his hiding in Gombe state two weeks later. Funny enough the APC gifted him Adamawa South Senatorial ticket which they won. Nothing is heard of his case since Buhari took over. Modu Sheriff was first invited in April 23 by EFCC. He declined the invitation. The EFCC under Jonathan on May 24 announced that they will declare him wanted. Jonathan left power and Sheriff appeared from nowhere to visit EFCC. He himself went there to drink coffee and walked out. Nothing is heard of his case again. Buhari also inherited the case against FFK which EFCC under Jonathan had been pursuing with vigour. However, Buhari's EFCC failed to show up in court on the day of judgement. In fact, it was FFK's lawyer that was "begging" the judge to pass judgement on Thursday June 18. For the case of Sule Lamido, the EFCC had arrested his two sons for laundering N10billion in Nov 2013 which was linked to their father. Buhari inherited the case but the exGov "surrendered" himself to EFCC under Buhari, drank his own coffee and walked out gallantly. Not a single high profile corruption case that Buhari inherited is being pursued vigorously.

In addition to the above, President Buhari is yet to initiate arrest and prosecution of any low profile case. The interrogation of NNPC officials was as a result of the May 18 directive that the exPetroleum Minister Diezani Madueke sent to EFCC after getting approval of then President Goodluck Jonathan. The 14 foreigners that are being tried for oil theft were arrested on March 8 under Jonathan by the Navy. They were later handed over to EFCC. The case of CBN fraudsters that are being tried for N8billion fraud was actually started in September 2014. The EFCC started their investigation in November 2014 and their arraignment followed after rigorous investigation. All these are under Jonathan. How many corruption cases has Buhari started? How can Buhari spokesperson claim Buhari has achieved more?

Security
Between Feb 13 and May 29, Nigeria recorded huge success against BH terrorists. Since Buhari took over, BH have struck more than 12 times, killing over 600 Nigerians as a result. The case of the Chibok girls is not even being talked of. So in what way has Buhari achieved more than Jonathan in Security?

Economy:
Since May 29, Nigeria's economy has been on the decline. According to The Punch, As of Thursday June 18, three weeks after the inauguration of the President on May 29, the value of equities listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange had declined by N238bn or 2.04 per cent, while the NSE All-Share Index fell by 2.47 per cent or 849.87 basis points.(Punch 19, June 2015). There is no policy framework on the economy as at today. Nigeria is floating on Auto-piloting system. So what has Buhari achieved?

Infrastructure, Education and Political Stability
Since taking over government, Buhari is yet to mix "cement and sand together" not to talk of kick starting infrastructural project. Nothing has even been heard of electrixity so far. Similarly, new policy direction has been heard on Education. The government and the party almost held the country and the National Assembly to ransom all because their preferred candidates lost principal office positions. This almost created a political chaos.
What has Buhari really achieved in these sectors?

Propaganda:
The government and their agents seem to be determined to "rule" the country according to the tenet of propaganda. Earlier this month, APC senior chief Nasir elrufai told the world that officers of past administration have started returning stolen money. Because it is was a lie, he couldn't name any official. He didn't even mention the amount returned, time the money was returned, and the receiving party.

The government are also trying to deceive Nigerians that they are winning the war on terrorism because foreign governments pledged support. However, they failed to tell Nigerians that the rhetoric support of foreign government is not new. In fact on May 14 2014, world powers pledged to Nigeria under Dr Jonathan that they will support the anti-terrorism war http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/missing-nigeria-schoolgirls/nigeria-will-conquer-boko-haram-goodluck-jonathan-says-n100116. It is also hypocritical and "propagandious" for President Buhari to count his "tour" as achievement just to deceive Nigerians.

The NNPC recently announced that the refineries "WILL" start working by next month (in their bid to give Nigerians the false hope that the government is working). However, they failed to tell Nigerians that President Buhari did not have a SINGLE input in the refineries turn around maintenance. In fact, he had no clue about what the contract papers look like. Anyway, the refinery is not working yet, we shall discuss more when it start to work.

In the first week of the administration, to appear transparent, the government tried to play on our intelligence by trying to use the secret Asset Declaration with CCB to equate the Public Asset Declaration. In fact, the spokesman of Buhari even boasted that by "declaring with the CCB, the President and his Vice had fulfilled their pledge". Nigerians resisted and insisted on seeing Buhari and Osinbajo Assets. They(APC) came up with another story that they are waiting for the 30days verification of CCB. Though we know their lies, we are counting on days and we shall remind them at the appropriate time.

I want to use this medium to appeal to the APC administration to forget the propaganda idea because we will not allow them such luxury. Nigerians should be rest assured that we will not stop to put the government to their toes despite the intimidation and verbal assault from some of their supporters.

Ramadan Kareem To All Muslims
God Bless Us All
Buhari is yet to start work,

His party and Lie Mohammed are not being sincere with him. For an administration that is less than a month old and yet to make key appointments, it's foolhardy for any sane person(his party) to rush and start counting achievements.

It's true Nigerians are eager to see how much of its campaign promises the new govt will fulfil but in th deepest of heart, I believe it's too early to adjudge him failure or otherwise.

And for those giving Buhari credit for the refineries due to resume operations very soon, you need to stop hating and accord praise to whom it's due (GEJ).

Meanwhile, in other news, Buhari is paying his cows presidential visit while we are here killing ourselves
