It is with utter dismay that I write this open letter as a Rivers State Youth following this week's protest by purported IPOB members on the streets of Port Harcourt and Obio Akpor.

On behalf of other well meaning Rivers Youth, I make the following submission:

1. We condemn in its entirety, the road show of shame by youth mainly comprising those of Igbo extraction on our home soil. It is an affront on our hospitable disposition and will not be tolerated forthwith.

2. The name "Port Harcourt City" is a name we have always known the geographical location we currently call our home. We shall not sit idly and watch an Nnamdi Kanu or any of his cohorts rename our city "Igweocha".

3. As a people, irrespective of tribe or ethnicity, we distance ourselves from every IPOB activity within our geographical space and call on the relevant authorities to clamp down on every dissident group of outlaws working towards disturbing the peace we enjoy in Rivers State.

4. We call on the relevant authorities to unleash the full wrath of the law on the 20 IPOB Members currently in custody in order to serve as a deterrent to others.

5. Same way one of our own, Isaac Jasper Adaka Boro fought on the Nigerian side for the unity of this country, we shall do anything possible to uphold an indivisible Nigeria and see the Nigerian Dream become a reality.

6. We enjoin all our hosts to remain law abiding while going about their lawful businesses in order to avoid friction with the natives and promote peaceful coexistence, as going forward, we shall not hesitate to use necessary force to dissipate any unholy congregation.

Like adult Lions, we shall also not hesitate to protect our pride and colony against negative external forces.
