Someone should ask Atiku who is to blame for this gross inequality? |
I am not voting Buhari for the following reasons, He truncated Democracy when we most needed it...and now seeking to lead in democracy..it doenst make sense He is above 70 years, i feel insulted to have him return seeking presidency, are we saying that over 60million youths in Nigeria are all imbeciles? so much so that we cant get a young vibrant leader. Are we saying that if Buhari drops dead today Nigeria is finished? Sai buhari is a hegemonic agenda. Buhari was mentioned by Bokoharam to mediate but he refused, had he accepted, Bokoharam would have ended...He doesnt have Nigeria at heart, his selfish interest and unwanton quest for power and vengeance is why he refused to negotiate with people that respect him so much. APC has never been constructive in their criticism, as a matter of fact what we have seen are bunch of people with desperate agenda to take power at the center. I had my hopes high when APC started but now, its desperation all the way with no agenda. @Datolee, please search for Ena Ofugara on facebook. search his timeline in the last 2 months..He digs deeper about Buhari than you can ever imagine...this generation is grossly decieved.

The hypocrisy of pursuing campaigning for Chibok and turning blind eyes to all other mayhem and kidnaps committed by bokoharam to some becomes absurd hence, smells to high heavens On Chibok girls, We all went out with passion unabated speaking and demanding for the return of the girls but no fewer than 51 persons were killed and 25 teenage girls abducted in Konduga.( We kept quiet and focused on Chibok) Are they not girls with mourning parents and relations? Are they not citizens of Nigeria? Deserving equal call for rescue. Why did we keep quiet when 48 boys were reported massacred in a school in Mobi Adamawa state. (We kept quiet and focused on Chibok) We have also ignored the 20 women and girls that were reported missing at a nomadic settlement, Garkin Fulani, near Chibok town, Borno State, (We kept quiet and focused on Chibok) Recently, almost 100 boys were abducted. (We kept quiet and focused on Chibok) 27 Police officers have been declared missing by the Police headquarters. We kept quiet. While we re-echo calls for Chibok have we have neither shown profound sympathy nor even imagined the pains of the wives, children and the relations of those men kidnapped. The circumstances surrounding the Chibok kidnap and the bring back our girls campaign leaves much to be questioned. One is left to conclude or wonder why Chibok girls alone got and is still getting all the attention and blanket awareness. |
Our problem has always been sentiments....This guy is excavating what many people had no idea about and we are here politicing his findings. even with his damning evidences. Why has the youths of this country choosen auto reverse as the way to go. We must wake up from slumber and hold our leaders accountable. |
Nicely scripted by an objective mind. Our collective amnesia will be so evident that GEJ is already on auto cruise to return.i have passed the age of personal deception. Among other things that guaranty victory in Nigeria politics....the youth and women wing of any political party is a big factor. With no particular interest in any party, I wish to ask, where is the women wing of APC? Where is their youth wing? PDP has an almost perfect structure in these two stratas of our population with madagascar money available to fund them. Since coming to office, what has the APC youth leader done to win the hearts of the youth seeing that the task ahead is enormous. APC must wake up from slumber because thunder will fire the entire generation of anybody that will instigate post election violence after loosing. For those of you who are basking in the popularity of APC on social media, wake up. Its market women and artisans that vote and they are not on social media. My two penny. |
As the initial shock over Google’s removal of popular news and entertainment site, Linda Ikeji blog, begins to wane, one of those instrumental to the shutdown of the site said Ms. Ikeji ignored his repeated complaints over copyright infringement and plagiarism. Mukhtar Dan’Iyan, the Editor-in-Chief of US-based The 15 Past Eight Media Group, said he merely spoke up after the blog used his tweets about developments in the war against the Boko Haram insurgency without his permission. “I spoke up about the unauthorised use of my intellectual property that was taken from my TL (time line),” Mr. Dan’Iyan, who tweets via @MrAyeDee, told PREMIUM TIMES in an interview, Wednesday. “(I) filed a formal DMCA complaint to Google which hosted her site. “One complaint is not enough. But safe to assume when Google looked through other examples of unauthorised IP usage and other IP owners filing complaints, it all added up. “I emailed her (Linda Ikeji) repeatedly. And it was not the first time people had plagiarised my content, but usually, I reach out and they take it down,” Mr. Dan’Iyan added. A Digital Copyright Millenium Act, DMCA, is an avenue to report content that you would like removed from Google’s services under applicable laws. According to Mr. Dan’Iyan, Ms. Ikeji had used over 10,000 copyrighted pictures and stories over the past five years without the authorisation of the copyright owners. Google took down the blog on Wednesday following multiple allegations of copyright infringement. Ms. Ikeji did not respond to our enquiries Wednesday. Mr. Dan’Iyan’s accusations and subsequent threats of organising a class action against the popular blogger drew the ire of the numerous fans who accused him of envy and hate. In her response on Tuesday to the accusations, Ms. Ikeji dismissed the plagiarism allegations and accused Mr. Dan’Iyan of using another name, Emmanuel Efremov, to stalk her, as well as register almost ten of her domain names. But Mr. Dan’Iyan said Mr. Efremov is one of the directors in his company. “15Past8.com has owners like any other company. He’s one of them,” Mr. Dan’Iyan said. “Emmanuel (Efremov) has never tried to sell anything to Linda, nor has he ever demanded any sort of money from her. In fact, I doubt he’s ever had any interaction with here even in passing.” Efforts to reach Google on Wednesday were not successful. While the class action against Ms. Ikeji (whose blog is still ranked No. 10 on the Alexa rankings of Top 500 sites in Nigeria) and Google is still gathering momentums, Mr. Dan’Iyan said he had backed out. “People are sending stuff in, but hopefully, when she bounces back, as I know she will, she will be the paragon of accountability when it comes to using material,” he said. “In other words, she’ll only use that which she got permission for, this way tempers would cool and lawsuit won’t proceed by aggrieved parties (of which I am no longer one). “Personally, I want Linda to win and win big. Her story is a huge inspiration to many, and should continue to be, as long as she does things the right way.” https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/169237-exclusive-linda-ikeji-ignored-my-warnings-aye-dee-man-behind-popular-blogs-fall-speaks.html |

Most Nigerians especially fans of English club Chelsea felt disappointed yesterday, when Ivorian and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, not Mikel Obi, was announced winner of 2013 African Footballer of the Year (making it a third in a row). However, according to the statistics, the Ivorian deserves the accolades based on his performances in 2013. Let’s not get confused, the award is basically an ‘individual award’, so the football club you play for or the country your represent winning all the prestigious tournaments like the FIFA World Cup, Nations Cup, Champions League or Europa League might not have any bearing or lead to your winning the award. It is your personal performance that will win you the awards at the end. Mikel Obi scored his first goal for Chelsea FC in 2013 Yes, Mikel won the African Nations Cup with the Super Eagles in 2013, played a pivotal role as his club Chelsea won the Europa league, represented the country at the FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil and scored a beautiful goal against Uruguay and don’t forget by scoring his first ever premiership goal (after over 7 years in English football) in the win over rivals Fulham last October. But the stats for the giant Ivorian Midfielder Yaya Toure totally dwarfs that of Mikel when they are both compared. Yaya Toure joined Man City in 2010 Toure won the BBC African Footballer of the Year in December and has been one of the top five players in the English Premiere League (EPL) in the last six months. This season, he has scored 10 goals in 19 matches for Man City which is quite high for a midfielder, four of which are free kicks. He has assisted in 3 goals and is one of the players with the highest passing averages. This season alone, the all-action midfielder has scored in all competitions – Champions League, FA Cup, League cup and helped his country qualify for their third consecutive world cup. His club Manchester City did not win any trophy last neither did Ivory Coast his country but his individual performance surely did the trick for him. Mikel and Toure are both midfielders but the latter’s game has evolved over the years and is more dynamic while Mikel has been one dimensional. As it turns out, in most cases winning the trophy is always a collective effort but at times some players had single handed won trophies for their team. Many were all hoping the Mikel who was flown in to the country for the awards in his club’s private jet would break the 15 years old jinx of winning the African Footballer of the Year awards for Nigeria after Kanu Nwankwo did it last in 1999. Apparently, Nigeria will have to wait for another 365 days. |

AM IMPRESSED BRO...KEEP IT UP |
I am not from Rivers state neither am i making a case for mr president. but if wat i saw is true, then its unfair of Amechi to accuse mr president of not doing anything for Rivers people. |
Governor Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers state wants the world to believe that president Jonathan has done nothing for Rivers state. He forgets that the president appointed the two immediate past managing directors of the Niger Delta Development Commission, an intervention agency under the presidency. During their combined four year term, under the leadership of President Goodluck Jonathan, these are some of the projects that they delivered. The list includes the Bonny Ring Road (Item 452), an on-going project is costing the FG about N18b. It is irrational and disingenuous for a governor to ask what the president has done for his state. It is like a married man asking his father-in-law what have you done for my children. Anyway, see over 850 projects executed by the Presidency through the NDDC for Rivers state. Compare it to other states of the Niger Delta. http://mail.elombah.com/index.php/special-reports/19806-see-what-jonathan-has-done-for-rivers-state |

Expect some enemies of progress here to accuse the lady of marrying him because of his money. Whats most annoying is that most of the people talking are unmarried and not sure of tomorow |
Congratulations Cobhams and wife. If you can, most people can if not for laziness and unnecessary distractions. I am really happy for you. |
Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State has alleged that President Goodluck Jonthan has earmarked him for killing, while trying to lend weight to the wide allegations made by former president Olusegun Obasanjo in his letter to Jonthan Governor Ameachi since the break out of the crisis in the Nigerian Governors Forum, which snowballed into the PDP-wide crisis, has mounted a relentless campaign of vituperations against Jonthan. . According to Amaechi, he is number one on the imaginary list of those penciled down for elimination by President Jonathan. He made the allegation in the presence of former Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, former Lagos Governor, Bola Tinubu and others. Amaechi stated this while reacting to President Jonathan’s poser to the letter written by ex President Olusegun Obasanjo to reveal those he accused him of planning to assassinate. Amaechi said he was amused when he read Jonathan’s letter challenging Obasanjo to mention those on the hit list, saying “I am number one on the list.” http://therainbow.com.ng/amaechi-i-am-number-one-on-jonathans-hit-list/ |

We idolize our leaders both present and past and thats why they treat us with impunity and get away with it. the security team are dullards, why will they wait till the president replies before investigating such weaghty allegations. one thousand snippers is no joke and they kept mute since 2nd of December. we need to move forward in this country. |
The leadership of APC, including Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Maj Gen Buhari, Bisi Akande, Lai Mohammed, state Governors were shocked to meet an empty 16,000 seater capacity Liberation Stadium in the much publicized APC Rivers State launching organised by Governor Chibuike Amaechi. The governor boasted that he expect overflowing supporters at the stadium, even after party supporters and Local government chairman were given millions of Naira to ensure that their people will come to show solidarity with APC leaders. The deflected Governor, apologised to APC leaders and said, "your excellencies, when we came in the morning, the stadium was full, this is not the main rally, the main rally will be at the 40,000 seater stadium". - Hope For Nigeria.
