A Federal High Court in FCT Abuja, has on Thursday, January 18, affirmed the proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) by dismissing the application requesting a reversal of the an earlier court’s order proscribing it and designating it a terrorist organisation.

Justice Abdu Kafarati, the acting chief judge of the Federal High Court who delivered the ruling on the proscribed group’s application resolved all the three raised issues against IPOB. The Justices subsequently affirmed that September 20, 2017 proscription order was validly issued.

According to Punch reports, Justice Kafarati dismissed the contention of Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the proscribed group's lawyer who argued that IPOB not being registered in Nigeria but in other countries could not be sued in Nigeria.

In his submission, the judge likened the group to a foreigner who could be arrested in another country where he was found to have committed a crime. Going further, he held that the proscription order was in accordance with the provisions of the Terrorism Prevention Act.

He consequently awarded the sum of N500 as cost against IPOB.

I Will Gladly Go To Hell With Ebony If Heaven Has No Place For Her - Ghana Music Star Declares

Ghanaian female singer and song writer, Ebony has attracted so many criticism and admirers since she came into limelight in the music industry. But we can confidently say we have not come across an obsessed fan like this up and coming musician called Obibini Takyi Jnr, son of Highlife great, Obibini Takyi.

Her real name is Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng and she is a Ghanaian dancehall/Afrobeats artist widely known for her hit songs "Poison" and "Kupe", she was discovered by Bullet, a member of Ruff n Smooth fame and her stage name is Ebony. She has been widely criticised because of her "indecent" way of dressing.

In an interview on “Black Legendary TV”, the singer said he finds it puzzling that Ghanaians, whom he labeled as hypocrites, continue to criticize singer Ebony because as far as he’s concerned, there is nothing wrong with the songstress’ outfit.

In his words;

I don’t see anything wrong with what Ebony wears. I am the wrong person to be asked this question because I’m a fan and being a fan to someone means you love every thing about them. She can go long or short I will still be a fan.

However, my only issue is with those bashing her on air. She is just in her early 20’s and just look at how influential she has been. Instead of using the right approach to correct her wrongs, they are being talkative on air which is 100 percent hypocritical’ Obibini Takyi Jnr.

I’m one person who doesn’t love to judge because i wouldn’t like to be judged by my fellow man and that’s why I don’t see anything wrong with Ebony’s dressing. I heard people saying she is an agent of Satan, really? who are they to judge?

Even if on that day if Ebony is rejected in Heaven, I will still follow her to hell, which I know won’t happen because God doesn’t judge by what people say about others but what’s in the heart.

The Peoples Democratic Party's Senator who is representing Ebonyi South constituency at the National Assembly, was stopped from defecting to the ruling All Progressive Part, APC in the most dramatic fashion today.

The drama occurred in the National Assembly during today's plenary session after a senator representing Ebonyi South, Sonni Ogbuoji, was stopped from defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday.

According to TheCable, while speaking on the floor of the senate, Ogbuoji cited problems in the PDP, both in his state and at the national level, as the reason why he wanted to leave the party.

But he was cut short by his colleagues in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) midway into his defection speech. Ogbuoji then changed his mind after a 15-minute consultation with the PDP senators.

Finally, Arsenal's Theo Walcott has passed his medical and agreed personal terms with Everton ahead of a transfer from Arsenal reports from England indicate.

A Turkish Passenger plane (Pegaus Airlines Flight) packed with 162 passengers and crew members came within yards of plunging into the Black Sea when it skidded off an icy runway while trying to land, The Sun UK reports.

Luckily, the jet's 162 passengers escaped death nor injury when the wheels of their Pegasus Airlines flight dug into the freezing mud at Trabzon Airport, leaving it dangling precariously off a coastal cliff.

Turkish officials said the cause of the accident was not yet known, and closed the airport overnight to conduct an investigation.

Photos appear to show smoke billowing from the cabin but Trabzon Governer Yucel Yavuz said all 162 passengers and crew on board were evacuated safely.

The plane which left Turkish capital Ankara on Saturday night stuck firmly in the mud as a solitary lighthouse illuminates the chilly water.

It is however safe to say that icy mud played the hero and more than 162 deaths were averted.

The eight suspects who allegedly murdered an Inspector of Police, Mr Michael James who was attached to SARS on Christmas day in Uyanga community in Akamkpa LGA, Enugu State has been arrested.

Reports suggests that the body of the deceased was taken to a shrine were he was turn into different parts for ritual purposes. The Chief Priest of the shrine was also arrested as he was pictured holding the skull of the deceased.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr Hafiz Inuwa, confirmed their arrest.

“On Dec. 25 2017, one Inspector Michael James attached to SARS in Enugu State was on a visit to his in-law, retired ASP Dominic Umoh, who resides in Ojor village in Akamkpa Local Government Area.

“When he went out to Uyanga village to buy fuel, some youths from the community came out without provocation, attacked, killed and beheaded him.

“His severed head was later recovered at Uyanga shrine. The youths also seized the late inspector’s AK47 rifle, with double magazines and set his sienna vehicle ablaze, with registration number ENU 683 NK.

“Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of eight suspects and efforts are ongoing to arrest others at large and prosecute them accordingly. “We recovered one locally made pistol, 17 empty cartridges, singlet of the deceased, one dry human skull, charms and the severed head of the late inspector.

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante crashed his car on Wednesday but still took time for selfies with fans.

The £32million midfielder, 26, was on his way to Stamford Bridge for the clash with Arsenal when he had a collision with a lorry.

A fan filmed him exchanging details with the other driver and inspecting the damage near the ground in King’s Road, west London.
